Hi,
I have two questions concerning the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus and would be very happy about any answers.
I bought the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus a few days ago and got it delivered from Amazon. After a few days I noticed there is a white noise / hissing coming from the speaker in some recording (most prominently, voice recordings) if the volume is set very low.
Through my researches, I came across the LineageOS ROM and found a note in this post which seems to adress exactly the probem I experience.
Now my two questions are:
1. Is this a problem with all devices or just some? From the existence of a software fix, I would conclude all. This is important to me, because then there is no point at all in sending it back to Amazon for a new device. I still have some doubts due to the fact that a lenovo supporter told me via telephone that it must be a single case however contradicting many voices on the internet and the existence of the previous linked note in the patch notes (and he didn't seemed that convincing to me).
2. Is the problem completely, 100% fixed with this ROM in all devices?
Thank you very much in advance.
Hi, I can't say for Lineage 'cause I haven't installed it yet, but this is a well known issue among users of the Yoga Tab 3 Plus (myself included). Don't bother trying to change your tablet.
I am pretty convinced this is a software issue and am hoping it is fixed in Lineage.

I have this issue too. I just learned to live with it, however, if you turn off Dolby Atmos, the noise is reduced.
As far as I can tell, it's the Atmos processing boosting the audio signal. Like @jonboi mentioned, turn it off (or you can also tweak the peaks in the equalizer, if you want to leave it on).
I had the same hissing noise...after some tinkering I discovered that it is coming from the DOLBY ATMOS app. I would only hear the noise when I had Dolby turned On And it would immediately STOP when I turned it off.
Actually I found the SPECIFIC SOURCE.
In the Dolby Atmos settings there is a switch for "volume leveler"... For some reason having this ON causes a tremendous amount of HISS.... Turn it OFF and the hissing disappears!

Hey guys
So I've had the A200 for around a month and know it is pretty much the same as the A500 (hence why I posted in this section). A few days a go while listening to some music through headphones I thought I heard the sound coming from the speakers on the tablet but disregarded it as my imagination. Then I found today while using headphones that sound is coming from the tablet and the headphones(tried several working pairs) both at the same time which is extremely annoying meaning I can't listen to music etc without others hearing it. I've done a bit of research on the issue with many of the same cases involving A500's but none with 3.2.1 which is what I'm running. And people that have had this issue say the headset icon still comes up in the notification bar still and it doesn't for me which makes me think it's a hardware problem with the jack as the headphones aren't being recognized. So the question I wanted answered is do you think it's a hardware problem an I should take it back for a replacement or do you think it is software and the promised ICS update will fix it. Cheers
Hi guys, I've tried several roms for my oneplus but hydrogenOS is for me definitely the best rom concerning battery life.
The only problem I face is low volume when making phone calls compared to other roms and when I'm in my car over bluetooth, it's even worse.
When playing music with spotify I don't encounter the same problem.
Could someone help me fix this issue?
I also tried installing vipe4randroid but I can't seem to be able to make the driver work (see attachement). I find a lot of threads for viper but non specially concerning hydrogen.
So, if someone could help me out or point me to the right information, it would be much appreciated
A lot of people complaing that they dont hear me very well.
Is therevany solution to increase call quality.Option to disable dedicate noise mic? I already tried different operator and is the same..Any suggestion?
Same observed for me. I didn't find any solution for 2.5 years. Sometimes people heard me good, but most of the time - very bad. The only workaround was to use WhatsApp - maybe it uses only the main mic without this noise cancellation bs?
Luckily my Meizu broken so I've just moved forward to Samsung's S9 and have to state it it so incomparably better than Pro 5, so no Meizu for me anymore
Hi all,
I'm writing here in the hope of getting some better understanding of how microphones works, and maybe some hints on how to fix the problem I'm currently banging my head on.
I'm porting the Xiami Redmi Note 7 Pro to Ubuntu Touch, and I'm facing an issue with the audio recorder from the microphone: the top microphone works perfectly, whereas the lower one (the one used for phone calls) records a lot of background noise, in addition to the voice. I've spend several days trying to debug the issue, trying different stuff both with the kernel and with the mixer_paths.xml configuration, but every time when I thought I fixed the problem, after some reboots the issue was back.
I believe that the noise that the microphone is picking up is coming from the internal device circuitry: the noise changes depending on whether the screen is on or off, and it also changes when, for example, I'm scrolling a page. I think I do not hear this sounds when the device is running LineageOS, but I didn't try it extensively, so I might be wrong.
So, my questions are these:
if these sounds are indeed coming from the circuitry, how is the microphone supposed to deal with them? Is this what the noise cancellation is meant for?
Is there a generic way to enable/configure it?
And why is the upper microphone not capturing these sounds?
Can you recommend me some documentation to learn more about this issue (especially how it's dealt with in Linux or Android)?
Any help will be appreciated For complete reference, I believe that the audio SoC on the Snapdragon 675 is made up with the TI TAS2563 and with the Qualcomm Aqstic wcd937x.
Hello !
I am really happy with the LineageOS for the S5e but i have one big fail.
If i try to use Teams, Zoom or Skype the volume is very very loud an only on the lowest volume step acceptable. The mic is so low, that the other person can not hear me.
I have four S5e. Two with Lineage (720/725) and two with the original Samsung ROM. On original ROM we do not have the problems.
We also use this meeting clients on other devices like Sonys XA2 with LineageOS 18 and we have no problems, too.
Is it possible to fix this issue on S5e ?
