The BETA Test program offers Honor India Fans a chance to experience, collaborate, and help identify bugs in the versions of our EMUI Software. The beta testing is a preview version, thus some features are not included in this version and the version is not stable for all users
When you join the BETA Test program, you will automatically get the latest BETA version of EMUI through an over-the-air (OTA) as and when they are made available.

Benefits and Privileges:
1. Priority Access to early software pre-releases.
2. Chance to get special rewards based on their performance in BETA program.
3. Chance to get special invitations for Fan meetups and new product launches.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Should own Honor device (Indian Version - VEN-L22)
2. Should actively participate and support other Honor fans and Moderator(s).
3. Should spare at least 2 hours daily for testing and reporting issues.
4. Should be ready to share personal details such as Contact number, IMEI and email id for us to support better.
Responsibilities:
The BETA Tester:
1. Must update the phone as and when software updates are released and use the device as a personal device.
2. Must use, verify, and report as and when the issue is observed in the reporting tool.
3. Must provide timely feedback such as logs and issue scenarios to the Moderator(s) when asked for assistance to fix the bug
4. Must immediately notify the Moderator(s) in case of critical errors (upgrade failure etc). The Honor Fan must provide details as described in issue Reporting Guideline document.
NOTE: It is recommended that users to backup their data before testing, as the BETA is a developer version and might be unstable. You can also choose to opt out of the BETA Test program at any time and return to a stable, public version of EMUI, following our downgrade Guidelines.

This is Honor 8 smart - Indian Version.
You are asking for Honor 8 EU version.

Once Honor 8 beta gets completed, the next priority will be HoNor 8 smart.

Honor 8 have nougat for months
Guys am really in a doubt.
Need to buy a phone for my dad.
Honor 8 smart aka P9 lite VS Honor 5c .
Both share same soc and same 2gb ram version here.
What are your opinons ? Kindly share.
What about android updates too ?

I would suggest the Honor 8 Smart because it is more recent than 5C.

1.Sir I only wanna know that this Honor 8 smart phone is eligible to get nougat 7.0 update via its OTA update. I don't want any hassle like rooting the device, or flashing the Rom(update.zip) from recovery mode. I don't want any bug thats y ...

Honor 8 smart is coming in almost half price. You can even go with honor 8 costing less than 15k now on Amazon till 8tg October.

Lol that's not how it works
From what I've been looking, ZTE seems to have 3 teams. They all work very differently.
The U and G team have a closed beta program. You have to sign an NDA and you basically subject to their abuse, by testing beta ROMs. This has been going on since before Nougat came out.
Lately it seems that the U team needed people with a different set of skills so they asked around. But the G team already has some betatesters. Some are around XDA.
The update for the G was supposed to come in April
Any Updates on Oreo for 2017G ? April almost over..

Why did you try to quote me with that. My link already provided an answer.
And for those fishy 8.1 rom guides you posted, we dont have any official lineage 15.1 roms for axon 7 so i wouldn't trust sites like getdroidtips with unofficial versions and just wait until the official one drops.
We have official lineage os 14 here in the forums and many other custom oreo roms which are at least legit.

It's official, Google shut down Android updates for ZTE.

No idea but seeing the huawei/honor updates I think EU most probably will get it.
Just to let you all know, seems like fut ota's are rolling out in Europe (couldn't join mine sadly, only 7 spots in total)
