Longer type C dash cable? - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

Is there any unofficial 10 foot cables that would be comparable to the original dash cable? 3 feet is so little and I don't feel like have an extention cable for my charger. Thank you in advance

Think OnePlus sells 5 feet. But I want 10 also

Would it be cheaper to get the extension cable? The cheap one from hardware store should be able to handle 20W VOOC charge.

If it's not the OP cable, you won't get the fast charge thing right

There is one available which is 150 cm instead of 100 cm which comes inside the box. You can get it from the oneplus store.
Unofficially chinese websites also sell 200 cm dash cable if you need that long :good:

There is a company called Juicebitz, Google it, they make a 3m cable and they are excellent quality. They also have a stall on eBay.

US-EU charger

Hi all
I bought a Nexus 10 in Walmart, but i will use it in Europe, so my question is, does a cheap US to EU AC Power Plug Travel Converter Adapter do the trick?
Or must i buy a diferent charge adapter for the european 220v
Thanks in advance
No need for a converter. Only the pins are us standard.
I also bought from Walmart and use it in middle east with the charger that was in the box. No converter nothing. Just works.

If you look closely at the small print on the charging brick, it will tell you what type of input it will accept. I believe I remember the N10 charger saying 110-220V.

It's also worth noting that the power frequency is different between the Americas(60Hz) and Europe(50Hz).
While most power supplies will support 50/60Hz, Some older devices did not. As above, this is also written on the PSU.
Thanks all. Question solved.

I see your question is solved but I'd like to add a couple of points.
The supplied nexus 10 charger is rated 100-240v 50/60hz, so it's gonna work fine everywhere.
It's possible to remove the us plug from the charger, and luckily this common ac cable will plug just fine.
If one can't stand the look of this cable and want an European plug, it seems to me that the galaxy.tab 10.1 which is easily found on eBay is just the same charger except for the USB cable

Ghost touches when charging through 3rd party charger

Just tried charging my 1+2 through a 3rd party 2A charger and experienced ghost touches while charging. Anybody experienced it here? As the original cable of 1+2 is dual sided(the side connecting to charger), could it be short circuit if the usb housing on the charging adaptor is metal? I noticed original 1+2 charger has a plastic housing...
Yes I have.
I bought a 4 pack of cables from Amazon and 2 of them suffer from this affliction.
I just unplug it when i need to do something, Annoying yes but at least it is just the cable.
None of my other cables do it including 2 from the pack of 4 that i purchased.

Wow, this happened to me today, and I was just thinking this was a one time bug. I was using a 3rd party adapter. Same cable was okay with another adapter. Seems I'm not alone. Using Oxygen Os 2.1.1
Since Frank has suffered from different cables and me from different adapters I guess this may be from an issue of wattage.

Other chargers won't hurt this phone if they push less than 3/5 right?

I have a Motorola turbo charger and a 6ft. Usb-A to usb-C cable (5 star rating for the googs engineer whose been testing them) but is the cable the part to be worried about or the charger used? I don't want to hurt my by using a non-google charger but I really need to charge my phone lol
Thx in advance to anyone who ca n clear this up for me

As long as the cable has the 56k resistor per the correct specs, it wont allow the phone to pull more than 2.4A from the charger. You'll be safe as long as you have cable that correctly adheres to the spec.

Does wireless charging still works with an iRing or similar on the back of the phone?

Hi just wondering if any of you guys are lucky enough to have the phone and also a iRing or equivalent on the back of phone? Does wireless charging still works normally especially with the Samsung fast wireless charging stand?

I doubt it'll work. I have a metal disc in my case for a car mount, and it covers the 'sweetspot' for the charger . I also think it will be too far from the charger base.

Wheres the sweetspot precisely?
Sent from my C6833 using Tapatalk
I cut 4 thin steel sheets and placed them around the sweet spot.
I then modded my choetech wireless charger and added Magnets around the charging spot.
The phone sticks to the wireless charger really well. Doesn't fall off while I'm driving.
Spigen just confirmed with me that their version won't work with wireless charging

What brand cable are you using to connect a usb stick to that V20?
I use Aukey from Amazon.com worked perfect on my Note 7 and work perfect on my V20.
I have a braided one from bridgegen that's like 6 feet long and a 3ish foot cable from anker, both from Amazon

I LOVE these CHOETECH cables with Zinc Alloy connectors. I've tried a bunch of different cables and these are my favorite.
