Does anybody know if it's possible to get our phones working with the new Pioneer decks for wireless AA? I am rooted and have the PE 9 rom but it is still not working. Any input is greatly appreciated.
did you ever get the wireless AA working?

I purchased a Hizpo 8in 5.1 radio and the damn thing has the Bluetooth restricted.. it will not allow downloaded apps to connect and obd2 scan adapters to connect as well. I purchased OBDLINK LX doesn't work but does require a password so I returned it and purchased a KIWI 3 with Bluetooth 4.0 no password required and the damn radio doesn't even recognize it.. I've updated it to the latest ROM version 1.92a... I hate the fact the Bluetooth app in the radio will not allow you to disable the password.
Plus if you do a factory reset the Bluetooth handsfree app for the phone is lost plus torque pro and who knows what else is lost...
I'm looking at the EONON GA6153F is this deck any good? It states it has bluetooth 4.0. I want a android deck that will work with the KIWI 3 OBDII. Does anyone have any suggestions?

So I can answer that question for you, I currently own both the GA6153F and a KIWI 3.
As of yet i have not been able to get the Kiwi3 to pair with the head unit. I've only had the unit for about 2 weeks and I'm waiting on feed back from Eonon on this and a couple of other things.
I am able to use the kiwi3 with my iphone6s via dashcommand for iOS with no problems. I've tried the following on the HU; dashcommand, carista & torque none of these would see the kiwi3. I'd get a message that read "turning on bluetooth... please wait" and yes bluetooth was already on, the apps would just stay stuck at that screen.
When I'm in the HU's bluetooth pairing screen it does not show/list the device.
hope that answers your question and saves you a little bit of aggravation... if they can resolve this issue I'll post an update.
I recently purchased a tocado head unit from Amazon. it is running andriod 6.0. it is a great unit extremely stable. my only issue is the only Bluetooth device I am able to connect is my phone through the dialer app. there is no Bluetooth options in the settings. I was just trying to find a workaround to connect a obd sensor or other Bluetooth device. any help will be appreciated. I will update with mcu as soon as I get the vehicle. being a new user i can not add the link to amazon but it should be the first link when you search B01NADG3xx on google.
A lot of new head units I've seen are coming out with wireless carplay. I currently have a Phoenix android 9 inch head unit and was wondering if there was a way to install apk so that I could have Carplay on my headunit without having to buy a dongle or use a wired connection. Thanks for any help in advance.
I'm pretty sure you can not. Wired Car-play up until recently has needed a dongle to connect to iOS and it's only now that some Android headhunts have been having it built in, but even then it's not exactly openly available to re-create (at least I think). Wireless Carplay is REALLY recent and may take awhile before it gets cracked to run on android (if it ever will).
Hello all,
great forum and super helpful so far,
thank you all!
I have a TS10 android head unit with wireless carplay functionality.
System name; SPRD Ums512_1h10_Natv
It works with 1 iPhone just fine - wirelessly - but not multiusers.
I have an issue with the bluetooth system in that if my wife gets in the car it will not automatically connect to her bluetooth phone - its still looking for mine.
If i go to the bluetooth program and manually click on her iphnoe then it will connect but only by manually reconnecting it.
I have also noticed that my android headunit is not using the bluetooth system setup in its settings menu - the system bluetooth is called 'topway' but the bluetooth for using carplay is 'CarKit_blink'. If I do connect a phone to topway bluetooth in the android settings then it does not appear in the tlink / carplay system.
(ideas)
So this 'Carkit_blink' system is a seperate bluetooth software?
its not autoconnecting to phones?
can anyone help with some solution to either get 'carkit_blink' autoconnecting to phones or to use the default android bluetooth system for tlink?
Thank you so much for your help (in advance)
Anybody with any info / experience on this?
Hello, I have no advice to offer, but can confirm I have the same experience using iPhones.
OK guys and gals... I have no idea what I am doing and hoping someone out there can help me. I recently installed this Chinese Android Head Unit:
https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804488293839.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.5.21ef1802PBAYUa&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa&_randl_shipto=US
It's on Android 12.
I've got it installed and working surprisingly well. I was expecting lots of little bugs and finicky issues, but have had no issues whatsoever. It just works... and even looks great once I got Nova installed.
Anyway, I have a dream of having both wireless CarPlay and a the head unit with a 4g connection of some kind. I know I can't hot spot to my phone while using wireless CarPlay, but is there a way I can connect a 4g USB dongle to this head unit and make it happen? If so and given I use AT&T, is there a dongle you would suggest?
