Just to let you know.
I rooted my X and installed TWRP.
Then I followed Guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/guide-installing-xposed-framework-stock-t3192957
choosed V78-sdk22-arm
Works fine at least with the modules I checked.
There seems to be one issue with X-Privacy. Stopping the APP after changing restrictions seems to be not enough. Sometimes the changes applied until reboot.
With App-Settings I found something similar.
Concerning GravityBox on my OnePlus X, it seems that some options do not work even if there is no error message or so...
For example : coloring icons in the notification bar, and disabling secure sound level has no effect for me.
Also, some additional options added in the notification bar do not show their icons...
Did someone also noticed this?

Gravitybox is designed to work perfectly only with AOSP or AOSP like ROMs. The creators themselves have claimed that it doesnt work perfectly even on CM ROMs. So its no surprise here.
That being said, i still do use Gravitybox on my OPX without issues, albeit i have activated only a bare minimum of tweaks.

Does Pie control from gravitybox work? I've used the one in SlimKat and later resurrection remix and really like how it looks and functions and it's the only missing feature of Oneplus X for me.
Most of the modules work fine but Device Faker made my oneplus x do a bootloop! I had to flash the rom

yes i just tried it out right now. works fine:good:
Anyone using Gravity feature slide on statusbar to change screen?
Dosn't work for me. Any alternative?
Hey guys,
I am using XPrivacy but it is not working properly. Every time I start it a massage pops up saying internal check failed. Also when I set some restrictions to apps they do not work. Any idea what that might be?
@Phoost
Seems like your XPrivacy has problems, too. Have you been able to fix that?
Yes but it's minor. Ignore message and changes apply after restart.
@Phoost and @sexier : are you able to use the on demand feature?
For me, I also get the XPrivacy startup error message, but I get no on demand popups, and so.
In fact, I did some tests, and XPrivacy doesn't seem to work at all.
Other modules are working perfectly fine.
I did open an issue on the XPrivacy's github and trying to figure it out with the devs, but no luck so far :/
Please free to contribute if you have any insights!

"on demand" means asking to approve permission on the fly?
I never used this. I predefine all permission after installation.
I disabled Identification for "Protected App" - > no more pro
I disabled location for GPS Test - > no location
I disabled Internet for Opera - > still loads websites :crying:
So works for some but not all.
Which framework version you are using? V78?
Maybe the old one ist better.

Yes! That’s exactly the same problem that I have. No pop-ups or on-demand rules work. The ones that are marked with a “?".
I am still running an older version of XPosed v75. I did not have the time to make an update yet. On my other phones XPrivacy runs perfectly with v75. I guess an old version doesn’t really help then.
Bad. Hope dev's find something.
Please join the issue on GitHub : https://github.com/M66B/XPrivacy/issues/2300
Or create yours if your problem isn't the same.
There are too few OPX users feedbacks on it, need more
Thanks for reporting this.
I add two comments to the thread.
Yep, I saw
Let see if the dev can figure it out. Else I'll switch to CM12.1 as soon as it'll be officialy available.
At least, we know that's a base on which xposed and xprivacy are proved to be working!
I'm starting to think that the way the apps permissions works in OxygenOS, is just messing with xprivacy.

I don't really know what he is talking about.
Maybe a post in oneplus forum or pm to oneplus member is enough.
Has anyone tried the Pixel fingerprint sensor features on the a2017u?
Yup it works nicely. Using it to turn the screen off ?
Remember to disable power management policies on the app
I'm using it. Works good, I use it to pull the notifications down.

It has almost no impact on battery. Very well optimized app.
The newest Gravity Box update also includes fingerprint launcher functionality now for everyone who wants to have more possible options to choose from.
How does one go about installing this?

Hey guys! I've never really used any Magisk modules before and in a lot of development threads I've seen people mentioning ones they use such as Doze and Camera2 API.
Which modules do you guys find useful in your everyday lives?
Moderators: If this belongs in Q&A feel free to move it.
Depends on what you want to use.
Doze for GSM is mostly if you experience a lot of drain from Google Play Services. I personally use Viper4Android 1.7.1 for audioFx, YoutubeVanced, Greenify4Magisk, and APT-X libraries.

Probably have to disable YouTube so it reverts to older version, then disable auto update, so it doesn't update through the store

Been looking into Viper, you use a much older version than I've found. Would you care to share your profile? Why not use a newer version?

As for now, i have viper 1.7.3, it's the latest stable magisk module. I have a simple profile:
Playback gain control: slight
Spectrum extension: 0.5
firequalizer: rock
Convolver: Impulse XHR Soundplus, cross channel: 0
dynamic system: high-end headphone v1, bass 20%
ViperBass: natural 60hz 8dB
ViperClarity: Ozone+ 6.0dB
Auditory: Slight
AnalogX: slight
I recommend you to experiment with different settings, and find the one that is best for you. :good:

Just backup any system apps you plan on removing so if something goes wrong you can just easily reinstall it through titanium backup or you'll probably have to end up reflashing stock ROM and it can be tedious depending on your device (and losing all data mind you)

FYI for some apps you probably don't need to care to make a backup. Apps like Gmail, YouTube, etc (essentially anything you can easily download from Play Store) I usually don't make any backup because I can just download again from Play Store

Hey everyone, you already know about the QR scanner bug in Pie. Well, I've discovered it's cause. And the cause is HAL3 (Camera2API). After disabling ? 2API, the WhatsApp can scan QR codes easily. This means either HAL3 is not properly supported by this device or lacks some permissions. For proof, I've attached a screenshot.
So, devs had added an "In-app focus fix" switch that's based on this theory. Turning ON the switch (disables HAL3) help to scan QR codes.
By default, it is disabled so that gcam can work.
{This toggle is present in some PIE ROMs in Settings>System>LeEco Extras}. THANKS TO DEVS for this switch.
It's a very good switch if used wisely.
If this helped, then please tap the Thanks button
please, can you tell me how I can do this?

Any ideas about how it could be solved? And is this bug present on other HAL3 enabled pie ROMs on other phones?
Cause is discovered, so chances for fixing it are increased now!!

On pie ROMs, HAL3 is enabled by default. To disable, root your phone, download build.prop editor from play store. Grant it root permission. Search "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1" change the value from 1 to 0. Reboot and check, it should scan. But gcam and sd cam will not work after disabling it. You need to download any 3rd party cam and manage with less picture quality.
Wow you're right! It indeed fixed the issue . Gcam is still working for me at full quality though!

Q. I'm experiencing force close in GCam and in the stock camera in latest updates of some pie ROMs like AEX, arrow, havoc etc. How to fix it?
A. It's not an Rom bug. Turn OFF the "In-app focus fix" in Settings > System > LeEco Extras.
Q. Ok, then what's the use of "In app focus fix"?
A. Read the first post of this thread carefully.

In my havoc rom 9.0 setting ~system-there is no Leeco extras! So how to do like u?
Sent from my LeMobile X52X using XDA Labs
Hi,
I've just installed Lineageos 18.1 on my OnePlus 6T.
One killer-feature I used to play with, was the portrait mode in the camera function provided by Oneplus ROM.
I can't find it in Lineageos, not the camera but the portrait mode.
Did I miss something ?
Thanks
Maybe an answer for myself: reinstall camera app from original OnePlus OS.
Looks like working.
Deeper testing progress.
I'm actually surprised it works? Most people use GCam.
Personally on the 6T and 18.1 I'm using GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v2.4.apk
Links from Celsoazevedo.com
There are several XMLs there for the 6T you can try. Personally I'm using, urnyx-7.3.018-v1.4.xml
Actually my daughter has a 5T with OxygenOS and send me the OnePlus Cam apk.
Once installed, it works but seems a bit... don't know what word to use, "not good as on OOS" (slow, blury, crashes sometimes).
I've also installed Gcam but with Play store (4.4. 020).
Is your version safe and stable?

All the phones I've known to get the OP Camera to work on Custom roms also needed the libraries associated with the camera and gallery. Most people don't bother anymore because GCam works as good or better. With caveat of GCam does require Gapps to be installed to function typically.
That is the site many people here on XDA use. I've been using it for a very long time, and use it across multiple devices to find GCam versions and XML files. Those various developers usually have XDA threads here as well. You'll find links back to their threads on that site (It just hosts their builds).
I just suggested that as a starting point, as I believe everything is functioning in that version? It's the one I've been using.
Many thanks for your feedback and advises.
I've installed app and xml from website you've mentioned. Looks working perfectly fine (some lag for portrait mode but not annoying).
Keep digging in the app.
Thanks again !!!

Delay? Granted, I have an 8T in front of me at the moment and not a 6T, I can test later on a 6T.. However have you tried turning HDR Enhanced to just On. Don't be afraid to try various versions or XMLs (just remember which one works best). That was just the one that I've been using. You may find one that works better. Also note I know even Urnyx05 has newer versions. Typically once I find a version that works for me I'll stick with it.
That's the good and bad thing about GCam, tons of options and things to play with.
