Hi guys, when I try to set up quick launch, it keeps crashing?
Anybody has same problem? I am on OOS 9.0.5.
Happened to me before and I was able to solve this.
Probably you disabled apps like Google Music/Video, GPay or something like this. Just enable again all the apps, open the Quick launch (or enable quick launch) and then disable again all the apps that you will not use.
That's what I exactly did. I disabled most of Google apps because I don't use it. Thanks will try.

Hey everyone!
Has anyone else started disabling some of the Samsung bloat? I've disabled these without any problems, so far:
Animated Photo
BlurbCheckout
ChatON
Google Play Games
Google+ (caused Hangouts and a couple other Google Apps to crash, but everything seems to be fine after a reboot)
Group Play
SNS (Not exactly sure what this is, but it uses the Facebook logo)
TripAdvisor
Twitter
Has anyone had any luck disabling anything else?
Just in case anyone else is pursuing similar things, I've had success disabling these too:
Active Apps Manager
Bubbles
PageBuddyNotiSvc
Phase beam
Photo Screensavers
Picasa Uploader
S Translator
S Voice
Samsung Apps Widget
Samsung Link
Samsung Print Service
Screen Saver
Travel Wallpaper
How do you disable them exactly?

In settings select the "General" tab and then select "Application Manager." Once in the application manager you select an app and click "Turn off." You'll get some warnings, click through them and the app will be disabled. Some apps will have updates and it'll say something about uninstalling the updates. I normally hit force stop and disable notifications as well.
Hopefully Samsung re-optimizes touchwiz so we don't have to be disabling stuff on a 600 dollar tablet
have you seen performance/Battery increases by disabling these apps? is there any major functionality lost?
Is there a way to get rid of or disable the magazine thing? I've gone in through the application manager and turned it off along with the other my magazine thing, but it's still enabled. I really don't know why I would want the magazine thing.
I have disabled many of the built in apps from my S4 but the following ones are still in my App drawer although they are disabled.
S Planner
Music
Optical Reader
Help
Voice Recorder
Calculator
Samsung Hub
Voice Search
Kids Mode
Can I get rid of these icons?
Rob
Do they work if you want to open them? If so, they are not disabled.
They should disappear after a restart of the launcher.
Otherwise, just hide them.
Yes they still work, although disabled is selected and greyed out. Is there no way to properly disable these or remove them?
Rob
Yes there is a way. You can root your device easily with help on this forum or another thread (search for: how to root device Samsung galaxy s4 i guess? , so you can uninstall the bloatware apps with the app Root Uninstaller from the Playstore. If you are not familiar with this way to remove system Google Apps, than don't try it. It can mess up your Device very bad. But it's worth a try. Just learn and follow the instructions very good with a little help. That's all i can say from my experience which is very positive:good:

A grayed out "disable" means it cannot be disabled.
If an app was disabled, the "disable" option gets replaced by "enable".
Disabled apps aren't supposed to work either, so obviously your apps weren't disabled.
So I am trying to remove Greenify because I'm starting to hate how it operates in the non-root mode. Problem is, on my V20, I can seem to deactivate it as a device admin. It crashes the settings app every time I try to do so.
I'm on the dual-SIM version, not sure if that matters. Anyone else that is facing such issues, or are able to replicate the crash, and eventually find a fix?
Thanks!!
Mod, please close the thread.
I figured it out eventually. Found an uninstall option within the Greenify app itself. Worked like a charm.
Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone else has seen this problem or knows of a fix:
At random times with no intervention, the application info page appears for a (random) app with the force stop dialog in front of it asking me if I want to force stop an app. If I hit cancel it does the same thing again for a different app. It goes through many different apps in an apparently random order and then stops (also for no apparent reason). My phone is unrooted running stock ROM. I have tried many things including clearing the System and App caches changing launcher (I normally use Nova launcher) removing memory card but nothing seems to help.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for your help,
Jonathan
Did you use package disabler?
Yes I have package disabler installed. It doesn't seem to make much difference whether all apps are enabled not.
I have instant apps enabled in my Google settings, but I am not able to try apps. Searching for the "wish" app does not have an instant option. Looking at the apps list that was posted by xda a couple days ago, all apps mentioned do not have the "try now" button in the play store. I only have the option to install.
I have tried restarting my device as well as disabling and enabling instant apps within the settings. I have a Nexus 6p with Android oreo on it. Is any one else able to get instant apps working?
