I can't seem to find the app to connect my S3 Frontier to my 6t. It says the Gear app isn't compatible with my phone. Anyone have similar issue and/or fix?

Could it be the Galaxy Wearable app? Looks like they renamed it maybe? It shows Galaxy Wearable (Samsung Gear).

Yea tried that too. It just comes up to other Samsung offered apps. When I go into the play store on my PC it's says the app isn't compatible with my 6t.
Did you reset watch to repair? I have it working on my 6T. Samsung pay and shealth working.

Just download it from the store on your phone. It works just fine, and I just did it with my Gear S3.

I transfered the app from my galaxy 7 to my oneplus 6t and it works perfectly with my gear 2..

Ok reporting back ..... if you root your device the app wont show on the playstore.... i reverted back to stock and now it is showing just as yesterday was..... so yeah dual speaker mod orthe gear app???? mmm i guess i could sideload the app but it would be a pain in the ass to keep track with the updates and stuff so yeah i just wanted to report my findings

If I root the phone, yes.
I don't know why it just dawned on me. I have an unlocked bootloader but not rooted, I see that root is the issue but I wouldn't think an unlocked bootloader would be.

On the Pixel 2 XL, Play store will be not certified if you unlock the bootloader.. custom kernels fixed the issue.. probably same for OP 6T as well...did you flashing custom kernels on this?

Don't be a jerk. I understand this issue may be frustrating you but don't allow that frustration to cause you to be rude to those trying to help you. I've actually got both my Samsung Wireless Ear Buds and my Frontier watch synced and connected to my 6T. During the process I was actually led to the pages to install what I needed. I'm here, my friend. Just waiting to see what devs do with this tab. It's lower-end, but it's snappy and feels premium. I hope we can get some CM action on this bad boy. Depends on the popularity, but I think the price point should help a lot.

The only thing low end is the price this feels nicer than my transformer prime. Does have a small lag from time to time opening apps though.

Yea well it does have *slightly* better specs than the Prime, but the Prime was released in 2012. The price can't be beat, tho. I hope people flock to it.
I think part of the reason there's no one here is because you can't find this tablet anywhere but a few brick-and-mortar Best Buy stores right now. I can't find a single online retailer that lists it in their stock yet. Once it's widely available, this forum should fill up. For now, it's just you and me, I guess lol.

True that. Im looking foreard to rooting, and opening up dual window to all apps. How does yours run?
Just picked mine up from BestBuy. Rooted with Towelroot and Xposed. I have found that the G3 tweaks xposed module works, haven't tested all of it but ehat i have so far works.

Download the app a day run it, will give you root. After that download supersu from the market and run it.
Download xposed from here http://repo.xposed.info
I think latest stable is 2.6.1.
After that you can download the g3 tweak from the market. The g3 and 10.1 are very similar rom wise, I've been able go use some of the theme tweaks (every one tried has worked, but can't guarantee all of it works since it's for the g3)

I guess the only thing missing is a custom recovery. Any insight on that anybody?
BTW, towel root was the easiest root ever. One click app. No hooking up to a computer.

I wonder if LG threw in an encrypted boot loader on the tabs. Also I couldn't find any information on this but does the G Pad 10.1 support USB OTG? I plan on picking one up within the week and hopefully get a custom recovery going soon after.

Flex multi window mod
I got one and i rooted it with towelroot with no problem. Even installed flex multi window app and works fine. The only problem is that it doesn't support NTFS usb sticks. I don't have any FAT32 right now to try but i'll search if it's possible to add NTFS support.

I just got the gpad 7.0 from att with the G3 bundle for 99cents. Im trying to decide if I want to keep it or return. The screen quality isn't all that great. I also couldn't root it with towelroot as it says its not supported. I wish there were more activity in the forums for the g pads too.
Update: I was able to successfully root the G Pad 7.0 At&t version using purpledrake. LG-V410
I got my mom a like new g pad 7.0 off ebay for nice price but didn't realize it's the At&T version. We are just going to use it with Wi-Fi. That shouldn't be a problem right?

I know on the Nexus devices you can and I thought it was a feature that was being implemented in Marshmallow. Hopefully Samsung tapped into Google fingerprint API's finally. I can live with that for the time being. It's probably an issue on PayPal's end. The Play Store, however, is the more important aspect of the fingerprint functionality for me.
I have not tried to buy anything yet. The setting is there.

yes in the latest google play update you have the option to enable fingerprint for purchases
It is definitely a prob on PayPal's end. I have several Banking Apps with Fingerprint Login - works perfectly on the S7 Edge. As I read in other forums (i know, i know, THIS is the one and only forum! ), they had the same prob with the Galaxy S6 Edge+ . Sit and wait... for an update to come :-/

It is my first Samsung device, so I have no surround app there. And the APK from APKmirror is not the last version. :crying:

Also if you search in the Galaxy app store for "surround shot" nothing comes up, but if you use the link to the app store page posted above it works. It's like Samsung doesn't want you to find it and use it....weird

Thank you guys! Interestingly the gallery app doesn't detect photospheres taken with Google Camera as surround shots like it did on Galaxy S6.
I followed the link and get "Product does not exist in this store". Even though the page and install button show.
They must have removed it.
Clearly pushing for the Samsung Gear 360 camera, which I won't buy if I can't try out that sort of thing at lower quality on my phone (S8+ by the way).
Shame.
I will look for an alternative. Don't really want to root my phone just yet though as I have only had it a couple of weeks.

I fully agree! Why does Samsung get away with calling the AR selfies as a new feature of the S9? Clearly this is merely a software gimmick that has little to do with the new hardware.
If no alternative option becomes available for shooting 360 pics on the S9, I'd like to point out that you can also take that type of pictures using the google streetview app.

For the messages app to appear on my watch, I normally need a Samsung phone to pair with, otherwise, the app won't appear, and you can only deal with messages only when receiving one, which is a limited and limiting functionality. The only way I could have it work is possibly by getting a Samsung Messages app, which can only be functional if ported for the OnePlus 6T. If there's anyone who can do such a thing and help me out, I would really appreciate it. Otherwise it's fine. Just thought I'd ask.

The app is hidden on my Gear S3. To become visible, I guess it must detect the Samsung messages app on my 6T, which is the reason I want a port for the 6T.
Mine is working fine with Google messages... Also using Gear S3.
EDIT: Nevermind... I misread your post. Yeah, no creating texts on the watch.

Use Pulse as your SMS app. There is also a Pulse Samsung wear app you can download. Both are free, I use them on my 6t and my Galaxy Watch. Problem solved.

Yeah the apps are free, but I didn't realize that you needed to purchase the account to use the wear app. Sorry I didn't realize that because I have a lifetime license for Pulse but I didn't realize it was required
I bought the lifetime subscription for Pulse and use it on all my devices. Totally worth it! Just do it and you won't regret it!
I have been using my s8 for about 2 years now and i've gotten a bit bored of the normal firmware that was on the phone. Also due to the fact that i was unable to update made my choice into installing lineageos on my phone.
The only problem i've had untill now is the music app. I mean it just straight up sucks. So has anyone in the past ported the Samsung music app to another device? Or is it even possible?
