Highly recommend backing up data and doing a factory reset. It's commonly known that that fixes issues after a major update.

Yes that's also something that changed in the last days.
Yesterday I noticed something : when trying to start music from the watch with manual input it shows the play music card on the watch for a short time and it seems to be the old style where all the buttons are in a separate screen. When the phone is ready to play the music, the card disapears just like so from my watch.
I tried resyncing my wear apps and deleted the data of my play music app. Nothing helped.

Android wear hasnt been updated to lollipop yet. Theres a problem between lollipop media controls and android wear at the moment so thats why. The card prolly appears when music is paused. I know it does for me. It will let me start the music again, but then the card vanishes again. We jusr gotta wait for google to release the new android wear.

As far as im aware it is common for lollippp users. Had the problem on my n4. Thewn notifications for music worked on my moto x, but as soon as i updated to lollipop they left again.
The Android wear update should be out soon. 9to5google posted about it yesterday with screenshots.

How are you enjoying Android N? It's a great software match for the hardware.

Since release 2 of the N dev preview, I've really been pretty impressed with the stability and features, especially multi-windows. I seem to use that on a daily basis, either referencing 1 window while I do something on another window, or just 1/2 watching some vid while I do something else. The size of the Pixel C seems to work well with the multi windows, I have the feature on my 6P rom but don't use it anywhere as much.
The quick tiles and notifications are also decent. Usually the very 1st thing I do id unlock and root, but I've felt no need to do so. The apps I use have all worked, I know some folks had issues with some.
Also, the OTA install was also excellent, as easy as it gets.
How are you all liking N?
I'm really getting on with it, too. I think the testament to the OS is that it seems a bit more intuitive. Much like you were saying about not rooting, I don't feel the need to with the Pixel C at this point.
I also enjoy the fluidity of the OS in comparison to MM, it just seems smoother.
Does the OTA update from stock 6.0 work?
Does it still wipe all data from the tablet?
thanks

I'm wracking my brain to try and remember if it wiped my data and I just can't remember. Sorry.
Here is what I did; I signed up for the dev beta, then took the upgrade more or less like an OTA from 6.0 and it worked great! No flashing, nothing. Heck I didn't even put in a custom recovery. It took a little to download and install. I just can't remember if it asked me to restore all my apps and I said yes or it was still there.
I'm pretty sure it would say something about deleting all your data, but again I'm just not remembering. If you get it, please come back and let us know.

Thats a good point about the OS being as fluid as it is, very true. I can't wait to see the release version and what if anything else is added.

The beta program wipes data completely. It is like a typical fullvwipe or in HTC terms, a RUU.
I think I didn't have a full wipe when I changed to N.

AFAIK the OTA doesn't wipe your data. Flashing via fastboot wipes. They also started releasing flashable zips beginning with Dev Prev 2, which also don't wipe. Idk if you can just flash that zip over Marshmallow.
as to the OP query, I like it a lot. I'm impressed by the options and, much more so, by the stability.

I needed to revert because mtp file transfer didn't work. Also every time I connected the tablet on adb it was immediately forcefully shutdown and couldn't start until I plugged the cable.
Other than that, I didn't find an option to enable usb tether....but then again I didn't find this option in marshmallow (afterwards)...what the **** google?
Oh and mtp is also extremely unreliable back on marshmallow. I don't know what the **** they did with this tablet. I believe I will jump on the next tablet bandwagon if I happen to see one....
OTA to Android N is non-disruptive. The way back is.
I have many issues with Android N but cannot go back because of the full wipe.
I hoped that I will be able to use non tablet apps in the half screen mode but that does not work. I am loosing sound when disconnecting headphones. Some apps crash. You Tube cannot specify quality setting, public wifi hot spot without Internet connectivity drains battery quickly.
I regret my decision of installing Android N.

There was way too many non compatible apps for my liking with N. Firefox would always crash, widgets wouldn't work with certain apps, I'd get random freezes, the Youtube app seemed jacked kinda, and overall...I thought the tablet seems LESS responsive. I switched back to MM.
Dude, all you have to do is back up all your data to Google (you can enable it in the Backup & Restore) Drive. When you opt out of the Beta it sends you an OTA file for MM. When it uninstalls N and reinstalls MM it literally finds the fact that you reset your tablet back to MM and re-installs everything for you. It worked flawlessly for me last night. Wasn't a pain in the butt in the slightest.
Actually at the end I reverted back to Android. You are right that all apps are automatically reinstalled however they are not configured, and you loose any local data.
I'm running Android N and want to use Smart Lock, but whenever I try setting Smart Lock or a trusted device, location, etc, it says I can't utilize Smart Lock because my device is encrypted. I've never setup encryption, and I can't remove encryption either. I can't even activate OK Google from any screen, and it's all because of the encryption. Is this a mandatory feature of Android N?
Has anyone got OK Google to work on all screens and lockscreen?
Google N is good but this is a preview issue so there's a fair few bugs within, e.g. YouTube crashing, low benchmark scores, dual screen having limited functionality and random error codes when opening apps.
I've reverted to MM and the process was super simple.
I'll wait for the third iteration and see if that irons out these issues, but N is very promising and I feel it'll really help release the potential of this tablet.
I just ordered my tablet and it shipped today. I was wondering if it is worth updating to Android N right away or stick with marshmallow
Stick with mm if u seek stability

I'm enjoying it but where is the May stability update?
It worked well for me. Only real problem I had was app compatibility. Use it as a media device, so HBO GO, Hulu, TNT, etc crashing on me led me to revert. Can't wait for N to be finalized and apps to be made compatible with split screen.

How to Avoid 5.0 Update when Setting up New 2015 Shield TV?

I'm trying to setup a new 2015 Shield TV and it takes me to 5.0 update and can't see a way to cancel it. I might update later but want to evaluate whether to go with 5.0 or stay on 3 and Xposed? I tried to disconnect/reconnect but it takes me to the google sign-in -> accept agreement -> 5.0 Update.
Yeah I know what you mean, I finally just took the update. Also sounds like there are issues when trying to go from 5 back to 3.3.

It seems that way. It is a good update but I'm going to miss Xposed.

Plz help!! Couldn't download system update! :(

Hi guys,
I have a LG Gwatch R for the past 2 years now. It was running the latest version of Android wear 1 till this December. One day the screen died and had to send to to service. So I got the watch back today and the watch is factory reset (on the very first version of the wear OS). I paired the watch and the phone, all good. But it tries to download a software update and it keeps giving me this error on the watch: couldn't download system uodate, not enough space is available to download system update.
As I mentioned the watch has nothing on it and it was updated before to android wear 1.5 or whatever version it was the latest before wear2.
Does anyone have any idea on what's going on in her and how can I possibly fix this issue? The watch is almost useless in its current state ?
Thanks,
Siavash

Did yours happen after repair or factory reset as well?
Post the output of:
Code:
adb shell df
Sorry was a bit short in my reply ?
No its only a week old and new.
Tried to clear cache and also reset it to factory on it but no luck, also removed almost all apps on the phone.

I don't see that any partition is too full.
I don't know what's wrong here.
Send it back again. Give them the error message and a photo of it.

Yes that's the problem. The watch is formatted and is like brand new. Nothing is on it, so it shouldn't complain about it not having enough space.
I was looking on the web today and I found that this has happened to a couple of people having LG watch urban as well, same scenario. I suspect it's something to to with the new update to wear 2 released by LG, screwing up something when it tries to update from the very first release of Android wear to the latest.

Wear24 Questions and answers

I'm new to android wear but not to android.
Just received the wear24 (love it so far)
I am on metro with an lg g5 7.1 nougat and watch is 7.1.1 android 2.0 android wear app 2.8
I can't figure out how to make and receive calls. How to answer texts and the messenger app keeps telling me to install messenger on my phone and sending me to the play store messenger download which says open because it is already installed.
Any insight or help would be great this watch is now cheap and flying off of the shelves so I figured this could be a good thread.
Basically what to do when you first get the wear24 and how to use it without Verizon.
Thanks

There was a thread on Reddit regarding FB messenger. As of a couple days ago, the current beta version of FB messenger for the phone fixed the 'need to install' issue.
So... I'm in a pickle.
My Wear 24 lost connection with my phone, and wouldn't reconnect. I disconnected and reset the watch, and when I went back to reconnect to my phone, the check mark and x won't appear when the pin pops up.
I've tried clear my Wear os app data and restarting my phone, and shutting down and resetting my watch multiple times, no dice.
I attached a pic for reference.

You have to go to the wear app and disconnect the watch from there. When try to repair via the wear app again. You only need to click yes to the PIN prompt on the phone. Not the watch

I have disconnected the watch from the app. It shows me the new watch setup screen. That's what brings me to the watch pin.
Disregard. LG Package Disabler Pro was the culprit.

Try flashing it with a Huawei unlock file? Half joking, but it actually worked for a V30.
I'm able to initiate calls from the watch, can hear them through the watch speakers, but the person I'm calling cannot hear me. Other voice commands to the watch work, so I know the mic works.
I've removed the VZ settings from the watch, and am using Bluetooth calling options via my Sprint phone.
Any ideas to fix the lack of sound from me during calls would be appreciated.
I wasn't sure where to put this but this seems appropriate - I've had a lot of issue with logging my google account. i tried wiping/deleting the account off my phone and everything. the only thing that worked was turning off my mobile data and trying with just a wifi connection through bluetooth.
My watch is now on 2.12 after doing system upgrade...I keep reading about people being on 2.7 or 2.8....Why does my watch say it is up to date?
Note that the Wear OS version and the Wear OS APP versions are completely separate. 2.7 and 2.8 refer to the app version. Still on your watch, but different from the OS itself.
I just got Wear24 several days ago from eBay for $50 and it already has problem. Since the very first moment of the first booting, it's lower half of the screen flashing/flickering white like crazy. It doesn't happen when it enters ambient mode. At first I thought it is the software issue, but after resetting and updating the watch to Wear OS 2.13, it still presents. I'm thinking of return it despite loving it.
Anyone having the same issue?
