Got it working but it's not the complete feature i think. I clicked a photo with motion enabled using the P3 camera port. It showed me the timeline but it didn't recommend any top shot yet. Also, this doesn't work on smartbursts ( I thought Top Shot will replace Smartburst ).

On Pie, Havoc ROM, also using cstarks latest.

It works but it is not the latest version of photo, is there any chance for an updated version?

The resolution is very very low
Pixel 3 top shot pics are 1 mb, this one here is around 250 kb!! Is there a way to get atleast 1mb photos from top shot on pixel 2??

Can you port pixel visual core service from Pixel 3?

Yes

Can confirm working on Pixel 1. I was only about to get 2 recommended shots on one very recent picture taken using the Pixel 3 camera app. So that might have something to do with the fact that none of my old ones have any recommended shots. Also, the recommended shots are HDR enabled and ~700kb.

AutoAwesome Video

This feature was enable on my HTC One M7 and I use it all the time. I guess the S5 is not supported but the Note 3 is? Anyone know a workaround?
I took at look on my Note 3 but cannot see the effect you are talking about. What is AutoAwesome Video?

Auto Awesome is the name given to the tool used by Google to create these motion videos from images you upload to Google Plus either through your cell phone or computer. When the right set of photos is detected in your Google Plus photo album Auto Awesome videos are created for you to share as you please.

I'm not sure what this means? I check google plus setting and don't see a way to turn on autoawesome. I can view photos I have in my autoawesome folder that was created on my htc one before.., my gs5 never create any autoawesome photo or video that I recently took.

yes your right, there is no option to check off for the Auto Awesome, it just does it automatically of course lol, but, If Google +, and Google + Photos arent syncing, Auto Awesome will do nothing. I think ya may wanna Google Search Auto Awesome, cause i believe it only works when a certain number of photos are taken. I could be mistaken tho

Maybe I'm not making myself clear, but you see the instruction at the bottom on how to create a movie/picture. I don't even see this option to create auto awesome video.

Hello !
Any update on this topic ?
Did anybody find a way to make auto-awesome movies work (on manual mode) ?
Thanks,

Google Camera

Anyone have a download link for that? I have reinstalled it on over dozen ROMs with titanium, but not an option here. I am assuming app.apk's can be installed here.
For some reason, Google doesn't make it available here on play store.
Nevermind - got latest apk

Thanks. The difficulty was finding a site that would not try to install a download app and also some very intrusive cookies (not unlike those that XDA tries every time I set them up on another computer).

Google Camera - "Cannot connect to camera."

Hey guys, I was testing out the Google Camera app (because I like to consider all of my options) when I noticed that trying to switch to video mode causes a "Camera Error: Cannot connect to camera." All other 3rd party camera apps I've tried have worked with video. Does anyone else know why this may be happening? I'm guessing because it's just not fully compatible with the G4 camera, but I'd love to use Google Camera as my daily use camera app.
Double check the permissions on the app and make sure it's allowed to access the camera.

Yes. Everything seems to be in order.
New Google camera apps have a different API or lib (for videos and panoramas) only present on the Nexus phones. The last version of the Google camera app that works on any phone is 2.7.008 available on apkmirror, but with Moto G?, if you want to use photosphere or paborama, you have to focus in the main camera and the switch to mode that you want... Otherwise, you'll get a really blurry photo.

Can't open gallery through Camera

Hi guys,
i installed a nice galery app, its called "simple galery" from "simple mobile tools". This galery ist very nice, simple and without adds and i want to keep/useing it.
Now the Problem:
On official Oreo update, If i use the Camera, you see at the bottom on the right sight the last taken Picture in a circle. Normaly, if you tap on that, the galery app should open but it doesn't. Nothing happened...
On Android 7 there wasn't any problems.
Is there any option to choose this galery app as default?
Thanks

Hello.
I too would like to put another photo gallery application by default but it's impossible. I do not want to use Google Photo via the camera! If I disable Google Photo, the button no longer works via the photo application, it does not ask which photo gallery application I want to open!
