I was getting much response in the Rhodium forum, so I thought I'd post here;
I installed ICSinstall.cab (January, 2008 version) on my TP2 (Verizon), rebooted, connected USB to my laptop, connected the application a VOILA! I'm online!
Awesome, now I just need to know if this is safe to use on my Verizon TP2. Will Verizon see that I'm tethering my laptop?

I'm merely bumping the topic in case there is someone now who knows, who didn't see the topic previously. Seeing as how there are almost 2 million members, almost 300 thousand active, it's entirely possible that someone missed the topic who can verify the information.

@pr0cl1v1ty Yes the sim will work just fine, just take it out of your g1 and place in Nexus One. You dont even have to alert tmobile, it will work as soon as it is placed inside.

I'm on the no contract 500 min/unlim text/unlim data for $60 before my work discount annnd new to Tmo. No complaints so far

Ok, it was late and I have a bad habit of rushing through these things so I can see the end result, sometimes resulting in bricked phones. But I rooted my phone the other night and installed baja rom. And even posted about a problem I had with a bootloop and got a quick response on how to fix it. This was on my laptop at home. Now I'm at work on a different computer, clicked my shortcut to XDA's Note 3 section to ask another troubleshooting question, and can't find the bajarom thread. Am I in the wrong section and overlooking something or what?

Negative on being in the wrong area. Bajarom will be replaced with alliance(currently locked). Keep an eye out for it to be released eventually(hopefully towards the end of the week). Maybe someone can help you here with Baja but as of now, baja16.1 is the latest and last release.

I was wondering about battery life. Granted, I've been tinkering a lot with the new rom, but my battery is horrible. Just in the last few hours, after charging all night, I'm down to 50 percent.
Also, the fast dormancy toggle and media battery drain fix buttons both come up with errors. I don't even know what the fast dormancy is so no biggie, but the battery drain seems applicable to me so I'm wondering if I need to look into fixing that?

Agreed. It's all cool about the new rom coming to (hopefully) dazzle the masses. In the meantime, however, I think BajaROM and it's support thread should've remained active. I'm having quirky issues with it and have no where to go for the kind of support the original thread offered.
The best thing now is to post any problems here. Things got a little heated as there's big anticipation for the Alliance rom but it's not ready yet. It was starting to become an ETA flame war so to keep things under control it's locked until the Alliance rom is ready. Trust me I've seen how out of control things can get on here. I'm not a dev or recognized contributor but I check the Question & Answer threads and help when I can.

I am thinking this thread is going to get locked any second most likely. But if it gets moved over to Q&A I will gladly assist with any questions. By the way, the latest BajaROM is still up on AFH for those who want it.

Hi Im wondering if its the kernel. Im on baja and I think the battery is better but other stuff osnt working like wanam, gravitybox… dalvik and cashe didnt fix it but but the touch response is faster besides the battery. Do you know how to flash or install just the kernel to another rom? I think im going back to the stock rom
Yes I wiped before installing baja. I've started another thread with a title better depicting my problem to avoid confusion. If you have suggestions, could you post it there so others could find it as well. Thanks for the help and interest in the matter! I understand a lot of material is posted all the time, I don't know what it is like for moderators, but the Tmobile Note 3 forum was pretty jacked up. Yes there is a search button and yes people post and reply to old threads and bring them back to the front, but it was very annoying looking for roms or anything in that forum.
With that said I believe that the Note 4 will be around for a while and it would be nice if the forum was tidier! With that said it isn't just up to the moderator, we also have to play our part and not make stupid post like this one. :silly:
On another note just got my phone and I'm not too impressed. wish my Note 3 didn't break.

Give your new phone a chance. I wasn't too impressed either when I first got mine but the small changes they've made start to add up for a better overall experience.

Like stated above, give the phone a chance! I know the note 3 was a great phone and you were probably expecting some kapowee of blazing amazements. But I can assure you the small updates added, will make you feel you have a better note 3, the additions (and subtractions) make for a better overall note 3 experience.
But yes, I will have to agree. The S4 forum was a mess! Or became one I should say, the Note 3 forum..was simply jacked up and I see the note 4 will soon lead to that direction sadly (but I hope not). I'm seeing threads in places they shouldn't be but hey...lol we don't really have a lot of roms and mods right now so its not as annoying
XDA has changed period. Everyone is short tempered. A lot of guys kanging other guys stuff and it just sad. The phone is amazing. Trust me give it a shot and you will see.

I don't see what you mean, Roms are in development and have been, there are q&a threads for certain roms outside of the development forum..........I saw the same in the note 3 forum....Not sure what your referring to.......yeah sure people create threads that have already been started, but that didn't sound like what your complaint focused on....I'd like an example of a n3 rom not in the development section for T-Mobile??
Yes roms are where they belong. All im saying is let's keep it neat. Update the roms and kernel tabs at the bottom.

Hi everyone, this is my first post here. I hope you can answer a few questions for me. I've been looking at all the posts here, so several questions have been answered already. I'm on Verizon, and it looks like most of the issues have been resolved. I work outside in the weather, so I'm looking for a good rugged case. I'm not concerned with bulkiness, just survivability. Also I'm in a truck most of the day, how are the car chargers. And if you use the GPS function, how do you like it. That's all for now. Thanks.

I may be wrong here but I've read that for Verizon you only get the 4gLTE so if you're somewhere where there is not 4G you won't get any service.
