Lineage 14.1 Transfer apps to SD card button missing - LineageOS News & Discussion

I am running lineage 14.1 on an i337z Cricket Galaxy S4, I would like to transfer apps to my SD card, however when I go to the apps, storage, the option to store internal or SD card is missing. Any thoughts? I do not want to format the card to internal storage.

Resurrection Remix Fixes issues related to External SD card as internal

One of the biggest reason to move on to custom rom for our condor was storage issue.
Now since any of the apps/mods/script doesn't seems to work on Marshmallow roms to fix that issue (pardon me if I'm wrong here).
Resurrection Remix 5.6.0 seems to fix that all.
So far I've tried three marshmallow roms.
First : CM 13(Unofficial)
External Sd card adoption works fine in this rom but after that you can't directly move files to your card because it won't be detected on your pc. After connecting through usb cable only internal storage shows up.
Second : CyanPop 4.3
External Sd card adoption didn't worked on this one
Third : Resurrection Remix 5.6.0
External Sd card adoption works perfectly fine here. Plus you can directly move files to your sd card. After connecting through usb cable Sd card storage shows up. One more thing only sd card storage shows up and not the phone's internal storage (I guess it's pretty much fine).
When sd card removed from the phone and inserted through card reader or any other means it doesn't show up which is pretty much self-explained.
So overall resurrection remix seems doing fine regarding storage issues. So cheers :good:

I've seen many people reporting that foldermount isn't working on MM though haven't tried yet.
Will try it
Micromax A300 on Resurruction remix
I am currently facing similar issue. The phone has 25 GB of total storage which is partitioned as 1.48 GB for internal memory and the rest is made as an internal SD card. No available SD slot. Now the file manager does not detect the SD storage at all and the images and videos are being saved into the 1.48 partition. Can you please give a detailed guide on how i can restore my internal SD? The Rom Version is LP-v-5.5.0
Thanks in advance

[SM-G900F] SD card and External SD card issue

I'm on Android 7.1.1 resurrection remix, and I often get the message that my storage space is insufficient. I checked the storage info and it says that for example my Spotify is using 2gb, while the Spotify app says it's saving onto the SD card.
I installed link2sd and checked the storage info, and it shows my internal data, SD card and external SD card. I think the problem here is that the SD card is the same as my internal data, and apps are saving to this partition (see screenshot).
Is there any way I can fix this? For example by removing the "wrong" SD card partition? Right now this is causing a lot of issues, since I only have ~14gb to use instead of the ~46gb I'd normally be able to use.
Thanks in advance!

Restoring twrp backup

Hello.
I have a Moto G4 and it has SD card formatted as internal and so some of the apps and data is physically on the SD card. The total system+apps+data storage is approximately 15GB and the internal memory of the phone is less than 15GB, hence I have the SD card formatted as internal.
I am currently running LineageOS 14.1 on the device. My questions is that if I backup the ROM and all its apps and data in TWRP recovery and later restore it on the same device but with SD card not formatted as internal, would this work? where would the apps+data which exceed phone's internal memory be saved?
Thanks
Regards

(SOLVED) Cannot See Internal Storage When Connected To Linux

I have installed Lineage 18.1 on my Galaxy S10+ SM-G975F (Exynos). I have a 128GB SD card that I can save files and apps to but when I connect the phone to my linux desktop I can see the SD card but no internal storage. The label on the SD card is "android" not "SD Card"
I have the Brave browser app that I have given storage permission to the SD card but when I download an app it appears to have been downloaded but it wont install.
I also have music files on the SD card but the music app cannot find them
I can download an app on my computer and then transfer it to the phone and install it but I cannot do it via the phone.
I suspect it has something to do with permissions but I am at a loss to how to fix it.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Other issues (may be related?). The music and camera app that come with Lineage do not load and the phone app cannot find my contacts .vcf card that is on the SD card.
The issue is solved as I reinstalled Lineage and now both the internal and SD storage is available!
Thanks, still a nice basic lesson.
