I have only had my mine for a few weeks. But, I have had excellent results with my LTE connection using Ting (GSM). Especially when I compare it to my previous phone the Oneplus 2. I have not had any issues whatsoever. I'm on the current 9.5.4.0 update.
I agree, some of the best reception of any phone that I have owned. Using T-mobile.

Any Solution to Set LTE only?
Hi bro I'm currently struggles to find a way how to set LTE only for this Phone as Database Editor app doesn't worked for this Phone. I'm also pretty annoyed when my phone not showing VoLTE logo at all. My carrier support VoLte and just work well on my Honor 8X before. I'm using Honor Magic 2 (TNY-AL00) and using latest MAGIC OS. My region is Malaysia. I hope someone will answer my question as XDA been known by the world because many expert borned here .

Wifi is somehow ridiculous on MIUI but works fine on GSI.

Due to the antenna design the signal strength on the phone is excellent.
It has two transparent strips on each side which is used for the WiFi and 3G/4G/5G signal.
I find I have much better signal indoors now and the wifi signal strength is much better including throughput.
I have attached a screenshot of my widget which I have on all my phones. I can see from it that the signal strength is much better.

This is the first image I did with a 'double press Volume down while phone still off option'. It was done before the screen even turned on.
