Did you try it, was it the right one? Im about to restock my xt1642 because I originaly only installdet the N modem that someone got from a N soak and this was not enught to get it working corectly to go with the unoficial cyangenmod.
No i didn't test it yet, but i still wan't to know if it's the good firmware for later. If you try it tell me if it works.
Today I have installed XT1643 stock rom (MPJ24.139-63) in my XT1642 and it worked, but I only flashed the boot.img and the system archives because I was downgrading from N.

Hi all,
I have a UK Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus unlocked. But I can't seem to get Bixby voice to work. It keeps saying I need to update my phone, but my phone is on the latest version apparently. I've attached screenshots before to my phone build etc.

A quick search on Sammobile.com shows there are 2 newer firmware versions for the S8+ using XEU than the one your are using.
You can try flashing the latest (AQF7) via Odin and see if that helps.
Follow the instructions for using Odin at the bottom of the download page - if you dont know already
And, of course, make a backup of your phone before you start.

I need to revert my X Compact to Nougat as I have too many bugs with Oreo that remained even after hard resetting, but I'm having a hard time finding the firmware. The only thing I've found so far is a download that's behind a paywall. Anyone know where I can download it for free?

INteresting... You can get MM on Xperifirm, but no N. Did you try here - https://www.getdroidtips.com/34-3-a-0-252-december-xperia-x-compact/ You probably have to wait, but I don't think pay....

Hi,
I want to root it but I can't find the boot.img for the firmware I have, so I wonder if I should install a newer firmware (software update says it has the latest one... but is nowhere to be found)
So my question is, if I want to install a newer firmware, based on what should I choose it?
should it be by the region I'm in?
thanks
This is a link to the boot image for OXM_XAR version (North America). If your device says 'no updates' then you won't find a newer file to download. If this *isn't* the version you have, search for the latest of your version and extract the various images (that's where this image came from). Cheers

thanks for the reply AsItLies
the one I have is:
M1AJQ.T590XXUOARF8
which I can't find anywhere, maybe is because is from April 2018.
That's why I was thinking if it would be possible to install a newer firmware, which I can download from some websites, and so I'll have the right boot.img
But I'm not sure if I'll end up breaking the device... or what firmware should I choose (in case it's harmless to install it).

Hmmmm interesting, no update for almost a year? That's pretty sad. My patch is dec 2018?
Check this thread it seems to go into some detail about how to find your version...
Cheers

thank you for pointing to that thread, although kies3 and smart switch didn't actually gave me much help, I didn't know about the app "Phone info SAMS", which gave me the data I needed... I still can't find the firmware I have in order to modify the boot.img, but at least I know what country code is (UK-BTU) so I'll try to install the one I found in updato.
Anyone know if the SM-T597 uses the same roms etc as the SM-T590 and SM-T595?
