That's how it always is. You could be using pip to play music in the background which isnt allowed. It's a fair reason

Took ages to download, but the firmware works! LG UP did its job. Thx :good:

If none of those IMEIs look's like mine, can I still try to flash it?
Also how big file is? I started downloading at 4P.M and it still downloads.

^^ My file was approx 2.4GB.
Okay so there is obviously no custom rom yet but how do I root and twrp. Do I just use the same procedure and files I used for stock Nought? Or is there a Oreo version twrp to use?

probably fine. the imei doesnt matter... its the hardware version of the motherboard that does, and most h850's are similar enough

update faster link for G5 from https://lg-firmwares.com/

I successfully installed Oreo on my H850, everything works as expected, only bummer is Carrier Branding (Vodafone), but I can live with that. What I can't live about is TWRP. After update I flashed TWRP once again, but after that it requiers password for /Data. Says it's encryped.
Any way to disable password without wiping?

As far as I know it's not possible. You have to format internal memory. I backed up the applications with Titanium Backup and the rest of the internal storage (except the /sdcard/Android/ folder) by copying files on pc, then I formatted the internal memory with TWRP and restored backup. If there is a quicker solution I would like to know it too.

Yup, I just discovered that! Thanks!
Well at least it works smoother. Very happy to see that Magisk Manager works on it! One more question though:
How Do I use PiP ? I just can't figure it out haha
Thanks in Advance!

You just tap the home button. You need to be watching a video or other live content that is enabled for PiP. And the app needs to have support for the new API in Oreo. For YouTube it works only if you have YTRed I think.

Kingroot doesn't work because of new security patches. We need a new version of Kingroot.
Letter of version just have geographic signification, no ?
Because there is V30B with latest Android path ?
Correct.

I'm in EU, but my G3 is for ARE region (Emirates). I installed V30n and there is warning about region after reboot, but everything works and there is no problems.
Installed it on my T-Mobile DE lg g3
After phone finishes booting up, warning message: current version is not available for user. Can't find matched cust for NT-code mcc/mnc[26201], subset[FF]
Message goes away if you click any ware on the screen
But still the major wi-fi problems with randoms disconnects and turning itself off when screen is also off, is still not resolved.

which stock image on FileFactory for the XT1562 is the most recent EU image?

I managed to get android working again on my moto X play (single-sim) phone
but I installed a retail ASIA dual-sim version on my phone
I am currently downloading XT1562_LUX_RETEU_6.0.1_MPD24.107-52_cid7_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
is this an EU single-sim version? or do I not have to worry about that?
because the SIM does not work on my phone with this ASIA version it says: no sim in slot 1/2. even though I put in my sim card properly in my phone
and could I update to official updates after flashing this on my system?
also is this a android 6.0.1 version? I just want to be sure. so that I can start using my phone normally again.

Nova Plus MLA.....

Is it possible, to open a thread for the Nova Plus MLA-LXX only?
Root, firmwareupdates , etc.
i think its a good idea...im in canada /rogers with mla-l03...and not much here for our version
Not rooted ( yet ) but got the unlock code, me too
have the code, yet not used, all my other mobiles ihave rooted
Like i said...our device is a one pretty young...birth in september so...theres no rush to "enter the dragon"
But very anxious to try nouEmui
i have tried the unlock code, and it works, but i have relocked it.....
I've the MLA-L11 too. would be awsome to have a working TWRP , no use in getting bt unlocked
unless there is a custom recovery. I'd say we find a dev and donate enough to persuade him to work
on a twrp !

Hi, where is the android 7.0 for us, I hate Huawei when they are late on softwares....! I'm having a problem to use youtube over the phone network with my Nova Plus.
Thanks
guys the MLA varients work with xelfmade's TWRP recovery and roms can be unified to work on all varients
Ota upgrade made with my MLA-L03 to Nougat yesterday and all working great! Used FF to push the update via proxy and changed from C654B140 to C578B302 with stock updated app. Best I've like the phone yet!! Big improvement in every aspect so far.
Buddy,
for us using the MLA-L03 can you explain in details how you did that ? Been waiting for ages to get that OTA update that never comes lol
Thanks in advance

You can try this to update to Nougat: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G79/g0/v73849/f1/full/update.zip Extract all the files and place them in a dload folder then place that on the root of your SD Card and install it using the three button method. If your Build Number is not showing up correctly after installing that install this: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...-L11_hw_eu/update_data_full_MLA-L11_hw_eu.zip using the same method as before. If it does not work the first time you may need to flash the stock EMUI 5 Nougat recovery which will let you install Nougat updates, I had to do this for the CAN-L01C432 variant as the update kept stopping at around 40%. EMUI 5 Nougat Recovery: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4T1GJ6EZ3LvTWNpZ0p5YXVINGs It is up to you to try it and I am not trying to make you as I do not have a MLA variant so I do not know if it will work or not. I hope this this helps.

Yes, understand, which build is it and is there no problem to get the official one when i had install it?
If it doesn`t work how to get back to notmal firmware?
I have all my devices rooted , but this one not, there are to less informations about my build, therefore i have no twrp installed.
Im careful, my last device was honor 7, and i have no problem with twrp and root, but more informations.
Download is very slow.
Do you have made the update to nougat, and does it run without bugs?

Nougat - 32.3.A.0.372 release started

https://xpericheck.com/device/SGP771
https://xpericheck.com/device/SGP712
just one customization for each model at the moment
Split screen support just made this tablet even better if that was even possible.
Anyone got the FTF? I am having a little trouble building it.
Nevermind, I had to use flashtool-0.9.18.6-windows to build the FTF (which then failed to flash)
So I upgraded back to flashtool-0.9.23.1-windows and it has flashed
Android 7.0
December security update.

you should use anyhow the latest version because before 0.9.23.x it didn't support nougat resulting in failed flashes, didn't brick or anything the device but the flash failed.

Major drawback with 7.0 and the keyboard
There is no option to select different language from the keyboard like it was with CTRL - Spacebar before. In the settings also for the physical keyboard you can only select 1 language.
What the hell happened here....
And I now see that the update has been pulled !!!

I just downloaded and installed the open beta 2 and it's great! I'm going to give it a week and "test the engine and tires." I still have my Pie firmware, just in case.
NOTE: I installed using the local update method. I was rooted also with pie.
Main OP question was if you flash android 10 via zip and tried flashing beta on top to see if it works like it did on android 9. Please let me know if anyone tried this as well. Thank you in advance.

No 'build version does not match hardware version' error when flashing the new beta to TMO converted one plus 6t. I used TWRP 3.3.1.28 and all is good.
We still don't have the "reserve" partition though. OnePlus fonts will be missing and show up as italic fonts. A few apps are also gone but can be installed from play store. You wont pass Safety net so you will miss out on Netflix, etc.
No F/C's. Not sure on battery yet.
Everything else does seem good! I am enjoying it!

I used patched MSM tool to get TMobile variant to international ROM without unlocking bootloader and then I local upgraded to Android 10 stable, then local upgraded to OB 2 and all is well!
So I'm on Android 10 Stable with bootloader unlocked. What happens if I relock bootloader? Will I go into bootloop on restart, and will it get rid of the warning on restart, or do I need to do what @bigmikey307 did?
Update : I did the above but didn't go to beta 2

Nope, not certified. Someone posted some links in the Official Stable thread with instructions on how to do it using root and some magisk modules.

So like @Scott Mentioned, it requires root to pass at the moment. The Magisk mod is called Magiskhide props config and it works perfectly well as a workaround. Good luck!
Sent from my OnePlus6T using XDA Labs
I'm probably overlooking something obvious but I have no idea what it is.
Here's the story; I have a T-Mobile OP6t converted to International.
Flashed the update to OB31 (Open Beta 2).
I have Magisk and Titanium Backup installed, both with root access allowed.
However, I'm unable to get TB to actually uninstall some of the system apps I don't want.
Also, I can't copy and paste (via Solid Explorer) my edited HOSTS file to block ads.
What am I missing?

We still don't have the "reserve" partition though. OnePlus fonts will be missing and show up as italic fonts. A few apps are also gone but can be installed from play store. You wont pass Safety net so you will miss out on Netflix, etc.
No F/C's. Not sure on battery yet.
Everything else does seem good! I am enjoying it![/QUOTE @Scott , which apps are you referring to?

The OP Weather app for instance, the OP square and round icon packs, e few more that I dont recall. All of them could be downloaded from the play store. You only need the font fox magisk module referenced earlier in this thread. You wont notice these missing apps on a dirty install but you will see it on a clean install or factory reset.
Reinstalling the ROM ZIP via in-built updater fixes the issue. Done it multiple times.
