Jittery scrolling after September update - Xiaomi Mi A1 Questions & Answers

Hey there! I want to know if there are other people who are facing the same problem
I am pretty sure that this issue wasn't present in august update, but since i updated to September i immediately felt that scrolling is not smooth anymore.
To see the this you can try scrolling slowly.
What are your thoughts regarding this?
Edit-Nevermind, the magnification was the culprit, turning it off solved the whole problem, the scrolling is buttery smooth again.

Kinetic scrolling and animations stutter

It may sound weired but yesterday i dropped my galaxy s2 onto floor. After that i have noticed that my kinetic scrolling and animations slowed down. Every thing except is working fine.Previously evrery thing was okey. Can any one help me on this.
Thanks in advance.
Any one? will reinstalling official firmware will help? i do not want custom rom.or rooting. Any help will be appreciated?
Weird. After dropping you have laggy KS and animations! If it were something damaged then it must've been a wider problem than that. Reset it, lets see if it solves or not.
KS/Animations is more of a Software issue rather than hardware.
Regards.
I have reinstalled official firmware but problem still persist btw i am on gingerbread 2.3.3 from India

[Q] Lockscreen notification lag.

So I got a white Note 4 yesterday (the N910U, which comes with the Exynos inside) and I love it. It's fast, snappy and powerful and I've had almost absolutely no problems with it so far.
There is, however, one thing that I've noticed, and would like any suggestions on.
Whenever I get a text message/SMS, the lockscreen will sometimes suddenly become really laggy. Pulling the status bar down, clicking on the message notification and any unlock effect will lag pretty horrendously.
I've tried replicating this by sending texts to myself, and most of the time the lag is there while sometimes it isn't.
If there's no message on the lockscreen though there's no lag no matter what I do to it. This only happens when I have a text message and the notification preview shows up on the lockscreen.
Any suggestions other than rooting? I don't want to root the device as it's brand new and has warranty (and I'll probably need that). It's weird because there's absolutely no lag anywhere else in the device even if I throw everything I can at it. This is the only place where the phone actually lags, and because I text quite a bit I'm hoping there's some kind of solution before Lollipop gets rolled out.
Bump. Anyone...?

I can't help you with this specific "lag" of the notification screen. What I do know is that there are (a lot of?) users who are having all kinds of lag on their Note 4. I'm one of them. Check if you have the latest firmware. In my case the latest firmware (december 2014) "cured" lag here and there....not all, but a lot.

I have the latest firmware for my region - ANK5.
It's the only place I have lag throughout the whole device... so I wonder if it's a case of "your mileage may vary". Hoping it'll be fixed with future updates though - thanks for the answer anyway.

Nexus 6P laggin after 6.0.1 February Update

My Nexus 6p was extremely responsive and fast before this security update. Now every once in awhile there will be extreme multitask lag when I hit the button inside an app it takes a good second or 2 for the app to shrink into the multitask menu. Then scrolling is smooth and so is swiping away but opening apps from that menu also takes a few seconds. And this whole problem lasts for about 10min. Anyone else have this problem? I flashed elementalx kernel and it fixed everything for the time being. But I'm upset I had to do this on a device well known for being buttery smooth. Could it be a stock kernel problem considering flashing a new one fixed it? I tried everything before that like clearing cache, reset, reboots, none of those deemed results the lag still occurred sometimes.
While I can't say it was right after the update. I've noticed some lagging big time also. Seems to happen mostly with Waze and Next SMS by Handcart

Nougat fingerprint delay

I just updated to Nougat and after a few hours my fingerprint scanner starts acting really weird. Sometimes it picks up my finger but takes a few seconds to unlock and other times it just doesn't work (no haptic feed back at all). A reboot fixes it for a bit but it eventually starts acting up again. Anyone else experiencing this? I have seen similar issues in the past on MM but never had this problem until today. Also didn't find any fixes (besides other people saying to reboot).
+1 for the delayed unlock. You're not alone. Many others have reported the same problem post Nougat update.
You're not alone. I observed delays as well, especially after the Nougat update
I haven't noticed a change, but have read that if you change the following it should improve
Settings>Developer Options>Animator Duration Scale = .5x
My fingerprint scanner is almost instant.
You can also try installing Ninja kernel. The fingerprint scanner works using the big cluster instead of the little like the stock kernel. My fingerprint scanner is almost instant with this setup.

Nexus 6p 7.1.1 scroll lag

I'm running stock android 7.1.1 on a Nexus 6p and there's a dramatic lag in scrolling response. When the screen is scrolling quickly and I put down my finger to stop the scroll there is a huge lag before the scrolling stops. About half a second or more. It seems to occur in all apps (and even system settings menus). I've had this problem since buying the phone a couple weeks ago. It's driving me nuts. I never have this problem with my iPad, MacBook or even my ancient nexus 4. The odd thing is that if instead of just putting down my finger I drag my finger slightly (in any direction) then the lag almost disappears, but obviously that's a very awkward thing to do, especially when none of my other devices require it. Does anybody else have this problem (and hopefully a solution)?
I've talked to Google customer support. They told me to clear the cache of every app (yes that does take quite a while) and to clear the partition cache. This did not resolve the problem and now they want me to do a factory reset, which apparently is the last step before hardware warrantee measures. I'd love to know if this is a common problem.

You aren't the only person who has experienced this issue but I haven't had it happen. I don't know if anyone found a solution but if you do a search in this section you should find a thread very similar to yours with a lot of responses. I think some people experienced the issue after updating to 7.1.1

Thanks, I'll have a look. (Tried searching before but didn't find anything.)
For me the problem predates 7.1.1
I found the source of my scroll lag issue. I sometimes enable the magnification gesture in the accessibility settings (because I often use a particular transit app that has insanely small icons). I realized that when I have this setting turned on the scrolling gets laggy. Turning off the magnification gesture seems to solve the problem completely. Not sure if there's any workaround other than disabling the gesture setting.
