I was just wondering if anyone could shed some light on following.
I bought a 4 gb card and of course that didn't work.
Then bought a 2 gb card and that worked just fine.
Bought a second 2 gb card and that one didn't work, the wizard fails to recognize the card at all. When in the Wizard File Manager there is no reference to Storage Card at all unlike the first 2 gb SD card.
I got an app which looks at the formatting of the SD Cards
The first 2 gb SD card that works has the following formatting:
Cylinder: 242
Head: 255
Sector: 63
_____________________________________
The second 2 gb SD card that does not work has the following formatting:
Cylinder: 939
Head: 64
Sector: 63
______________________________________
The 4 gb SD card that doesn't work
Cylinder: 482
Head: 255
Sector: 63
________________________________________
Questions is - Is there any method to format the 2nd SD card that doesn't work to have the same Cylinder, Head, and Sector structure as the 1st that does work?
No matter what type of formatting I choose via my PC Card reader using Fat or Fat32 selecting different Allocation unit sizes, the C H and S item remain the same.
Is there a SD Formatting utility that would allow me to change that structure? If not, how does one know before purchasing as 2 gb SD card what the formatting format is? The 2 gb SD aren't high density so that shouldn't be a factor.
Thanks.
I canNOT answer almost any of your questions, but in terms of another formatting method, try formatting the 2G card in a digital camera, then try using it on the Wizard. I revived a card that would not even get read in two different laptops by first formatting on a camera.
Also, there is an app SD Memory Card Formatting Software which did not help me, but the camera did.
I installed a micro sim card into nexus 4, it rebooted, after that it does not recognize any of the sim card inserted. Simply i can eject sim card tray, put different sim cards but nothing happens, phone even does not recognize if sim card is inserted or not, factory reset does not help. Sim is OK, i used it on this phone before and i use it now on a different phone. How can i solve this problem ?

Is it cut down?
You cannot put sim tray other way in nexus 4 , it does not slide in . No, sim is not cut, ive got it from carrier and used it before on this phone for about 3 weeks without problems. This is not a sim issue, i have another micro sim from other carrier that i've tried, but it's the same problem.. and both micro sims work on my xperia z, and nokia but nor of them from today are not recognizable in my nexus,,, iv'e looked at the pins in the sim tray, all of them ar not broken, done several factory resets, tried different roms, but nothing helps..

I just bought my N4 yesterday. I had the same issue. It would not recognize any SIM cards. I ended up having to swap it for another one. My SIM is from a different carrier, and has been cut down to micro size. No issues after swaping phones.
My friend have bought S3 Neo 3 days before - in which the second sim card slot is not working. The sim card status in sim card manager saying No Network Card
Refer the screenshot below.
If I switch between sim cards then sim 1 is working perfectly. What does no network card mean??
Please help ASAP.
Hey guys,
Is anyone facing problem with SIM2 not having its own and independent sim toolkit (STK)? I need to swap my sim card places in order to access simtoolkit to the other sim card.
Is there any way around this ?
My Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 does not exhibit this issue as it automatically detect both sim card and have both simtoolkit 1 and simtoolkit 2.
Thanks
