Hello !
I develop a project in Smartphone 2002/2003 and I must used the RIL
API. I have retrieved the RIL test in the xda site and I have
implemented some notifications.
My problem is when I send a SMS with an envelope command to the
Smartphone, the program gives me the right notifications, but when I
used the function RIL_SendSimToolkitEnvelopeCmd to have the same
result, I don't have the same notifications (the result is simple and
bad). I have modified my registers base on the Smartphone and I'm sure
that my message is good.
Finally, I think I have some problems with the initialisation of the
transmission.
If one person have an idea, or some examples...
Thanks in advance.
Does the android API expose access to the release cause that will be sent back inside the RELEASE message?
For example, if the phone has an incoming call (i.e the phone is ringing), and the user refuses the call, is it possible to programmatically set which release cause to send back in the REL (or is it an RLC in this case?) message?
HI. I wiped out the MI UI system shipped with the phone because it had too many bloatware, but it has a feature that I use since Android 4: native SIP client. It's in the builtin call app, under Settings and "Call Settings". The native SIP client is not part of MI UI, I can find it on many stock Android phones.
But I tried 3 ROMS, all of them miss this feature. The config option is simply not there under "Call Settings". Since 99.9% of my phone calls are made in SIP, I find it an important feature. Is there a ROM that didn't disable this client, or can I patch up my phone?
The 3 ROMs I tried are:
[ROM][AOSP][hermes] Delirium Project
[AOSP] 5.0.2 Hermes [Clean Aosp][Everything except HDR works] 18-10-2015
[ROM]Hermes.5.0.2-LRX22G-NEXUS[19/09/2015]
I have same problem as you. Right now i think you have to use a third party app from Play Store. Or wait till CM12.1 is released for the Redmi Note 2.
I am not an expert about it but why not simply replace the dialer with one supporting SIP ?

Click to collapse
Because such dialer either don't receive SIP phone calls, or do receive phone calls by taking additional 50MB of memory and kept the phone from sleeping well. The built-in SIP client, many believe, have the smallest idle footprint.
what's up guys, I have a quick question about call blocking on Oreo. I use this root call blocking app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fahrbot.apps.rootcallblocker.beta&hl=en
Which has always worked but now on Android 8.0 it can no longer function, like many other root call blocking apps. It says in the description:
"As of Android 8, root blocking is not possible and RCB will default to no root mode, which does not block SMS at all. There are specialized apps that will do that better than RCB set as the default messaging app."
Since this change, all you are able to do is forward the call to your voicemail, you are not able to block any calls at all.
I researched and other apps say the exact same thing so it's not a problem with the app but it seems android changed the way it handles incoming calls.
My question is do you think android will stay like this and we won't be able to block calls like in previous versions of android or maybe this is just a temporary change?
Why an external application to block calls and sms ? After all, Oreo 8.0 has built-in blocking calls and sms in the system.
Oreo blocks sms and calls
Call Blocker is a alternative that works also and works well
No root needed

Android Pie has disabled support to record calls. I was using it to record unknown numbers that are calling to me in an unexpected way, as well as when calling to services, like a car mechanic. Then, it appears that newer updates to Pie will disable also possibility for apps to know what number is calling. So I understand it in a way that Google will disable call blockers, which I use to block known sms/voice spammers.
Can anyone tell me is there an Android distribution for Xperia XZ Premium that has those two options enabled?
If u go on the recent calls, long press on the contact/number, u will have the voice to block it

Thanks. This solves the issue by only a half, because call recording software still won't have access to the info about the phone number in current voice session. So even if it would magically have access to the microphone, it still wouldn't know who's calling, if it should record the call or not.
