I want to try to Malaysk rom for the PX5 but I would like to do a proper backup of the current stock rom I have from the manufacturer in case things go wrong. (and probably will)
What would be the proper way to do a full dump of the OS ?

Yours is not a head unit running Android Auto (the topic of this forum section), and neither an MTCB or MTCD head unit.
So the correct forum section for posting is the general one:

For your model only the seller (or the manufacturer, if known) could provide you an updated ROM and/or MCU.
But maybe on the market there are other head units that are identical to yours (many are clones, only re-branded by the sellers).
Anyway, I wouldn't suggest you to install other "compatible" ROMS if you don't have available your current original ROM file to restore.
And avoid updating the MCU with files not specifically provided by your seller/manufacturer for your model.

The rom itself is not fantastic and would be interested in putting on a new rom (e.g. Malaysk rom)
Is there anyway to backup the existing rom, incase I want to go back to in the future ?

Good evening, first off i apologize if there is already a thread out there on this but i cant seem to find one anywhere..
Basically i wish to install malaysk rom onto my px3 7.1.2 head unit, however i'm concerened there may be issues with the rom in which i may require to revert to the original factory settings without root access...
Is it possible for me to take a copy or backup of my existing mcu rom (MTCD_MX_V2.59_1) so i could reinstall it if needed?

Hi, I have a Chinese Android head unit but I dont have a clue which ROM I can use with this.
i would like to have a back up of my stock ROM from my head unit, but i really dont know how to go about it. can someone point me in the right direction possibly send me a link/thread to be able to do a backup of my unit? its a non rooted unit. ive attached pics of my head unit specs. thank for your help in advance.
