J370F laggy on RR 8.1.0 - Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) Questions & Answers

So i have a problem. I have installed rr with magisk and gapps and i have huge lags when using phone, even pixel launcher isnt smooth. Usong youtube, chrome etc is also laggy, i did set some setting to performance in developer setting and it changed nothing i even set minimum frequency of cpu to 1386 and tirned force gpu rendering to off and it didnt help. Waiting for solution

Its a problem with your country firmware. Some J730F have ui lags and some don't. I have J730F XEO and every oreo 8.1.0 rom is laggy.

What custom rom? TW 8.0? For my j730f all 8.1.0 are laggy. In tw only recent apps and sometimes notification bar.

random reboots

idk if posted some same thread but my problem is my phone suddenly reboots.
screen went off, twice vibration, then went to samsung galaxy s5 logo.
current setup: android 6.0.1 running no limits rom. all stock
sometimes it reboots then it is stock on the bootloader. i need to remove the battery and turn it on manually. using bootloader and modem of the latest recommended bootloader from the no limits rom.
(it also random reboots on stock firmware using spain which i downloaded from sam mobile firmwares)
is this a hardware issue?
edit: what i did was i upgraded my stock rom from 5.0.1 russia to 6.0.1 spain, does this affect anything? should i stick with russia?

i don't think it has to do with the battery because as long as you have power cores will work,
Do your phone gets too hot then?
I know what's going on I think. Something modified your kernel or something in the ROM is unstable. I had one that did that same thing when I used the camera. You need a better ROM. I recommend ressurection remix 5.8.3 nougat 7.1.2. No reason to be on marshmallow. And get this kernel. It fixed the camera issue and improves battery life. It's a unified klte rom.

i am currently on 6.0.1 mm stock firmware. and still i experience this issues
That does not guarantee there's no bugs in your phone. Have you ever flashed a ROM or anything to your device?

Upgrade to a nougat ROM. It uses the same bootloader of mm so you only need to flash a ROM. Get ressurection remix or lineage is 14.1. Nougat fixes a lot of bugs and security issues. And xtrestolite isn't the most stable ROM. I had it in my s4.

And then if you use rr get the kernel I showed you and flash that too. Please note these Roms don't come with gapps. Google open gapps and it comes up. You want arm 7.0 or 7.1. Stock if you don't mind waiting a while for it to download. I get nano to save time as it still installs the framework and playstore. It saves space and if you want something it didn't install play store will have it anyway.

so you mean cyanogenmod?
Cyanogen mod is now lineage os team. Don't use cyanogen. Get lineage 14.1
If none of the software fixes work, it's your battery. Personal experiance from my S3 Mini and my S5. Don't rage over it going nuts (been there, done that) but just get a new battery.

J500H best rom ?

Can anyone help me suggesting a single best rom for J500H 2015 variant with no bugs ? Doesn't matter it's N or MM. I just can't find a bugless stable rom.
Thanks in advance.
In my opinion, SlimRom 7.1.2 by Necron 99. I had it for 3-5 months. Now i changed to Oreo L15.1 only just to test.
SkiesRom is The best if you want everything from camera to signals to work properly. u just have to flash blue screen filter fix and soundalive zips provided by zonik.

100% stable custom ROM - does it exist?

Are there any absolutely stable ROMs for Redmi3s? I'm currently using crDroid 7.1.2 with default kernel and still getting crashes sometimes. So far I have used:
stock MIUI - no crashes there but many bugs with connectivity
dev MIUI - better but it's still trash MIUI
Lineage 14 stock kernel - great but occasional crashes
Lineage 14 beacon kernel - more crashes
Lineage 15.1 - occasional crashes, persistent bootloops after some app updates
crDroid - occasional crashes
The crashes I had were black screens (with backlight) and reboot soon after that. They happen only when using the phone, not in a specific application though. I used to have same crashes with graphical glitches but I'm not getting these with stock kernel.
So my other question is how can I debug the crashed cause? Any logging software that would catch the culprit?
I'm looking for a rom that would be 100% stable, I can't have my phone reboot (which takes some time) because of specific application.
Have been using resurrection remix nougat version on my Redmi 3s and faced no issues at all till now.
Crdroid 8.1 by difr. I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed with this ROM. All the other ROMS are great! This one was my favorite Oreo rom. I've tried and used almost all the ROMS from XDA for Redmi 3S Prime. Pixel Experience 9.0 is also stable. Now I'm using Arrow OS which works superfine. I switched from Pixel to Arrow Bcz I need more customization.

Mi9t Laggy

Hi.
Recently I decided to switch from PixelExperience Rom to MIUI11 stock Rom.
After booting in miui global, scrolling and overall ui was Laggy. After this, I flashed miui eu stock Rom and there was the same problem.
Has anybody ever gotten in this weird situation an if so, what is the solution?

You can try and flash the fastboot stable version. That usually fixes most problems, like a complete clean flash.

Custom ROM with no ISSUES

hi all,
i am running the stock version of SM-900 and want to know if any custom ROM can be applied with no issues? I see issues with lineage OS as some reported that camera is not working. Any tips / advice please? Reason for upgrading is that the tablet is very slow.
For my SM-P900 (v1awifi), I've been using Resurrection Remix OS (RR-N-v5.8.5-20170926-v1awifi-Unofficial) using Android 7.1 2. Device and OS are definitely dated, but otherwise work fine. Rooted with SuperSU Pro, and TWRP recovery. OS Developer Mode options help.
Also AdGuard Premium and Opera Touch both help.
YMMV.
is camera and whatsapp etc working?
Yes. Open Camera from Fdroid works fine. Whstsapp from Google Playstore also works fine.
thanks and faster thank stock firmware?
Yes IMO better response overall. RR ROMs have worked well for for me, but I couple that with some other tweaks mentioned.
Before installing RR ROM, you could just try Developer Mode tweaks for setting animation scale. I use 0.0x (no animation) for the 3 scale settings and that improves response overall.

Do you have issues with the stylus causing the entire tablet to crash and reboot? I've had that issue with Lineage OS.
