Q: Nexus 10 -> problems?

Hello,
Are there many problems with the nexus 10?
i'm about to order one in America but I had really bad luck with my Nexus 7 .. speaker blown after 3 days :cyclops:
So are there many problems or is this product "oké"?

All you have to do is a little reading around the forums to find your answer. The issues have all been thoroughly discussed, but I'd say the vast majority (including myself) are quite happy with the device overall.

i'm just a bit afraid the device costs 399dollar in US, but in the EU the same device costs 729 dollar +/- so its a big difference!
I'm guessing i'll take my odds.

Nexus 10 has many problems . stay out of this crap with a good painting outside. wait for a betrer product !

I love mine!

I personally can't wait to get rid of my Nexus 10. Thing is going on craigslist as soon as this semester ends and I can sell it. Going back to iPad+Android phone. Android tablets just aren't there yet.

My beef is with Samsung repair centers. I'd otehrwise love my tablet, but I've only used it 3-4 weeks despite owning it for over 12 now.

I love my Nexus 10. It is the most powerful tablet out there. Except you want to enjoy some iNarrowmindedness of course. :silly:

If anyone is interested LeBron's Samsung apk has been posted in the HTC One M8 section. Just follow the instructions to install. Manual installation is required as this app is for Samsung devices. Link is below. It is working for me running PA Beta 3.

Yeah I just wanted folks to be aware that it is indeed working on other devices as one of my close friends is a huge LeBron fan with a Note 3. I am not a big fan but the app is pretty cool if you like him.

I just don't get this at all.

The Note 4 already has root which is great, however we are only half way there.
It's kinda strange that everyone is talking about all kinds of things but not a word
about custom recovery for our phones which is what we really need now.
Oh well, sooner or later we will all be talking about custom recoveries. LOL
(most likely it will be sooner)

We've had the phones for like 5 hours. Patience...

Yep, I also picked mine up from UPS because I was at work.

No one was talking about root, yet chainfire dropped one.
Perhaps if we dont talk about it....it will happen sooner than later (most likely sooner)
Beside, the phone isn't even release in store yet lol, think when it does things will start popping more than they are now

Wow. Had the phone a whole 8 hours and no recovery! Gotta tell ya, these developers are slacking off! They knew a year ago that the Note 4 would be out and they did nothing! Nothing! What do we pay these guys for? I say we dock their checks for the week. How dare they not use their knowledge of future events and have us waiting 5 days before the phone is even officially release to not have a recovery waiting for us.

Yeah, except I have been around long enough for that to be a legitimate statement. I am in the process of setting up Heimidall, so I haven't tested it. You're welcome to try, but it probably will brick your device since I won't know what needs to be adjusted until I can flash it and see where it stands.

I wanted a custom recovery so I started working on one. Trolling would be not preordering but hanging out in the forum to notify people of your decision

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2386856 <- Same concept. That was long before CWM or TWRP had a recovery for the device. Whether or not they actually made one or simply grabbed the source when it transitioned from a port to a build, who knows. The point is that building a custom recovery only requires a copy of the stock recovery and an existing custom recovery for a device that has similar hardware. It will likely be here when you return. Toodles.

I preorders the note 3 and I wasn't going to get it till 3 days after the release... So not exactly a fiasco. But it hurt my feeling [emoji29] [emoji25] at the time. Lol

S7 Edge - Uk Thread

As we all getting the devices today in UK thought id make a thread for us .
First question i wanted to ask was in some video on youtube ive seen yahoo on apps edge cant seem to find it in uk model only cnn. Looked in galaxy store as well.

Got mine today.
Checked and cannot see Yahoo on apps edge

Was so excited about mine being delivered by o2 via ukmail. But it would appear they wouldn't leave it in my safe place opposite the front door (even though the delivery guy could have closed the padlock) so I've been forced to reschedule it even though the same thing is going to happen tomorrow. So so annoying!!

Im personally coming from the 6p which was a much bigger phone. I am liking the s7 edge only thing is getting use to picking it up from my desk too slippy will have to put a case on it and hopefully root soon .

I'm still waiting for mine to come, but I was wondering if the Yahoo app would be on it, is there something in its place or is it just missing all together

A lot of reviews suggested it is seamless. However, I found the chrome edges to be a tiny bit sharp which was disappointing but nothing huge. I'll have a case on it tomorrow anyway

Are all the uk models using the exynos chips?

Got mine it's all I expected and more very fast only thing I hate is the blue and white pull down menu anybody been able to change colour

I'd really like the Snapdragon 820 processor, could I just ship it from the US and will everything work fine that way?

Settings > Themes
Change your theme and the notification and menu colours will change to fit inline with the theme you choose.

mine isnt waterproof at all. got min for like 10 seconds in the water at +-30cms deep en none of the buttons worked for like 3 hours!!!! this isnt what samsung promised at all!!!!!

If you can't see the games launcher go to Settings > Advanced features > Games and you can turn it on from there. It should then be on your homescreen

Tell us more about nightshots. Is the camera better now on the production unit?

Don't show night shots! Between that and the shipping and communications fiasco, Andy Rubin is already in hiding.

I've never had a phone that was good at taking night shots. I'm coming from the LG G6 and the night shots suck just as much as any other phone. Don't see what the big deal is.

Quick question. Can you check the display settings and see if there is a blue light filter? Or night light whichever they call it? Thanks!

The phone ships with stock Android 7.1.1
If you would look at the features within Android you'd know it would have that feature... Or you could google it.

Just an FYI, it appears there is no blue light filter on this phone. Someone who has the phone looked for it in the settings and it’s not there

Does anyone else have the ability to manually check for OTA updates? The feature seems to be missing..

Got mine today. All I can say is WOW!
As a die hard Nexus fan for years, Pixel didn't cut it for me. Essential feels like Nexus is back. Amazing phone.

Yeah, I am really enjoying this phone...the only things I wish it had were the fingerprint gestures and the night mode. Those are the only things I miss from my Pixel XL. Anyone know if the apk's for those are floating around? Would be nice to install like the Google HDR camera app which seemed to improve the camera a bit.

You can search Google for the camera app. It's also floating around the apps section under the essential phone forum
