MCU version is 5.3.18
did some research in the unit and looks like the rom is based on:
astar_y3-eng 4.4.2 KVT49L 20150206 test-keys
but thats a allwinner tablet
if someone can help me out to indentify this unit please

I've got same HU just like this. After installed by mechanic (cause I can't install it) the roof monitor display nothing, he said the unit doesn't have video output jack. Are you kidding me...?
I've been trying to boot to recovery menu gonna upgrade ROM many ways & many time, but always fail.
Someone please help me,....

I think it's not a MTCB unit, no version 5.3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3246386
Can you post all the MCU version name please? I'm pretty sure that it non begin with "MCTB"...

Now running the Navi IQ firmware and thats way better.

or how can i upgrade to min 4.4.4?
i have now 4.4.2 Navi IQ and i'm experience problem with the rom. The biggest problem i have is that the steeringwheel controls not always
work like they should.

Mine is the same "specs" as yours . Its actually only 1GB RAM and Android 8.1 according to CPU-Z.
I would like to upgrade the android version too but I'm nothing is jumping out at me.

I have 8227l demo android headunit in my car running on android Go 8.1 (2GB RAM 32GB ROM). All apps work fine except Google Maps which hangs and lags and is very slow to operate. Kindly share some tweak to fine tune the headunit for a better smooth working of Google Maps. Thanks

Chinese Android 10 head unit slow - need to root?

I have Android 10 head unit for Audi A3/A4
Android version: 10
Hardware information: 4-Core AllWinner - ROM 32GB - DDR3 2GB - 1024x600
Kernel version: Linux 4.9.118
OS Version: KC1C0121-036-1.0.4.3.1 - IVT - 20191212
MCU version: STM8-20190919-1-KC2-64
Promblem is that it's damn slow. I tried to root it with Kingo Root, but it didn't completed it.
Any tutorial here how I can make it faster?

Seller doesn't know or doesn't want to give it to me. Is there any other way how I can find it?

I had the same radio with android 9 and it was much faster than the new with android 10..
If there is a downgrade to Android 9 i would do it.

Is not the operative system, is the hardware.
For radio you need to use an amplified antenna (Amazon) and for sound if you don't have external amplifiers you are lost.
All the cinese "toys" had theese problems.
I have a SC9853i headunit 4/64gb and fortune I have original external amplifiers, so no problems, the radio is a sh....t.
I rooted and I modify a lot af configuration, it don't resolve, it's a cinese sh...t.
Go to icar.vietnam forum and you find how to root OWNICE C960 (tested, it work)

hi, do you have the factory firmware ?
usually the file is in a compressed zip format, or titled update.zip
If you have the file, try to upload it on your google drive, and share the link here. I will try to see if the update.zip file is correct for your head unit specifications.

please...my head unit brick/dead...where is test point....
because wrong update.zip
turns on for only a few seconds with a green robot image, then turns off...when pressed the reset button it turns on and off again and again...
please help me.... Mr. ahmed68......
