Ok so I just sold my car with my Joying HU in it (was a deal breaker), so now I'm on the hunt for a replacement.
I had the old 2GB Joying Intel Sofia.
It was good, a little sluggish at times and I had a constant problem with the Bluetooth disconnecting from my phone.
A real pain in the ass when I had a Marcodroid set up to turn on mobile hotspot when the Bluetooth connected and turn off mobile hotspot when Bluetooth disconnected, you can imagine what this was like when the Bluetooth sometimes reconnected and disconnected 5 times in as many minutes!
Apart from this I was pretty happy, so now I'm looking for something to put in my new car!
Looking along the lines of one of the 4gb units which I imagine should be pretty snappy.
Have Joying fixed their Bluetooth issues or are they just as bad now?
Should I look elsewhere? Pumpkin? Xtrons? Ownice? Someone else?
Just want a "standard" double din 7 inch.
I also see that there is some rom activity on here now! Anyone have any recommendations to try out when I get a new unit?
Bump. I'm curious too. I have one of the joying mtc-b units and the Bluetooth audio quality is so bad that it's useless.

You don't get answers because the question is useless.
Nobody does a test between 10-20 head units. You have one head unit, maybe a 2nd one in another car, and maybe you had one or two earlier, which you can't compare because they are completely outdated. That is the experience users on this board have, including me.
Nobody here can give a broad comparison of multiple units.
Quite some Chinese brands are discussed here. All have their issues and all have one or two bonuses with regard to others, be it better audio or an IPS screen or better bluetooth or possibility for custom roms.
If you want "the best" then buy a 500 Euro or more expensive Sony, or a 700-1200 Euro or more Kenwood or Pioneer.
Otherwise just read the different topics here and select what you think is important for a much lower quality Chinese unit.
But that's what I'm asking.. Which do people think have better screens, Bluetooth or custom ROMs?
I know they are all lower quality and I'm good with that, I just don't want the 1 I get to bite me in the ass.
The name brand units don't support full android anyway so no point in looking at them.
I'm simply asking people's opinion. I don't expect anyone to have 20 units in their car

You're still asking the wrong things: "Which do people think..".
I have one Joying FYT PX5 unit in my car and one Sofia 3GR "on the bench". Do I think my screen is better than the other one, or better than another one (brand) I don't have? Or that my bluetooth functions better compared to also another brand I don't have?
You had issues with bluetooth on your old Joying. I read more posts from people with issues with bluetooth on joyings, but also on other brands. I have a Joying FYT PX5 and before that one, a Sofia 3GR FYT unit. I never had issues with bluetooth and I also read posts from user with Joyings who don't have issues either.
I still think it is low quality stuff with bad quality control. If you open these units and see how bad they are soldered, I immediately think you have differences between units.
I only have a Joying and I'm happy with it. I have no experience with others, so for me the Joying is the best I ever had. I "could" say that I "think" Dasaita has better audio based on its audio chip, but I never compared. I "could" say that I "think" that a Joying QD unit has a better screen, because it is IPS, compared to a Joying FYT unit with standard TFT, but I never could check the screens myself.
Not really a trustworthy opinion I would say.

That's fine, all I was asking for was opinions, nobody expected anyone to come on here with all of the answers. The point of the thread was anyone to come on and give an option of what they "THINK" of some of the newer android 8.0 units, pros and cons they may have come across on their travels/ownership/searching/YouTube etc.
I've seen this question asked in the past but a lot can change in 3 or 4 years so was looking for an updated idea of what people thought.
I didn't think it would be such a problem tbh.
Maybe someone can just delete the thread then and I'll just get a Joying again.. Or maybe a Dasaita as you say it has a better screen and from my searches it's cheaper for similar model (4gb/32gb universal 2din) maybe it will fit the 2din slot better than the Joying did.

Just came to mind: Check the reviews from cadillacmike. He had at least 5 different units and also posts about it on youtube.

Yeah I saw on Reddit that he settled on a Seicane But I haven't heard of them all that much.
Maybe I'll look more into him if he has some YouTube videos.

So I have been in contact with cadillacmike and he's still running a Dasaita and seems pretty happy with it. I was thinking I may give it a go but then I started thinking about support (xda, root, mods etc.) and when I look into it, it seems that there is little to no support for the Dasaita units.
This brought me upon your Extra Tools apk (brilliant work) which is pushing me back to the idea of getting a Joying again.
These are the 2 units on the shortlist and my head is fried from them! Joying have a 20% off sale coming up for a few days during the week so I need to make my mind up by then!

Also, you wouldn't have any idea what the 6.95 inch unit is about? (https://www.joyingauto.com/joying-6...ndroid-8-0-car-head-unit-replacement-4gb.html )
Is it to fit a standard double din layout better or what? why have another unit so close to 7 inch I wonder.

As far as I know the Dasaita is an MTCD/E unit and therefore suitable for the Malaysk and HAL9 custom ROM. That's quite some support I would say. But don't take my word for it: confirm it with Hot-audio whether it is an mtcd/e.
Both the Joyings are OK. I think the difference (0.1 cm) is due to another screen supplier. I assume you saw from the webshop images that they have different hardware buttons / Vol knob?
The 2-DIN sizes are equal but the 7" box is 9 millimeters less deep. In my dash every centimeter less deep counts. That might be different for you.
I think it is just a question of preference.
And you can always ask Joying for the differences.

I was thinking of contacting them but I have a feeling that it would take too long to get a reply that would have a straight answer.
Joying are having their Christmas sale on Thursday and Friday so would have to get answers by then. After some thinking today I have decided to go for the Joying. I just know more about it and I'm afraid the Dasaita is a leap into the unknown (although realistically it's probably not).
Yeah I will be going for the hardware buttons over the touch. I just like the buttons for some reason.
Looking forward to some messing around with the unit in regards to the custom ROMs and mods as when I rooted my old unit I pretty much had the nokill mod and that was about it! Seems the community has grown big time since then. Will definitely be giving your app a go and throw you a cup of coffee!
I've also just realised that I can get a OBD1 (Nissan consult) -> USB cable and use that to get torque feedback from my Skyline! Looking forward to that.
I also think I will get a DAB dongle too as there are some decent digital stations around here (Perth, Australia) and the FM stations are awful! With the 3rd party apps out there now I can just grab a cheapy from eBay with no issues, correct me if I'm wrong!
Will most lightly have to fabricate some sort of facia though as I can't see it fitting too well!

Hello XDA'ers.
Just got burned buying a crappy no-name Windows headunit on Amazon and was wondering if you could help me pick a different one. I'm looking for an Android-based HU that can support Bluetooth, GPS and a backup camera. HD Radio support is a plus.
Thanks!
I am also researching for one and come across with eonon brand. You can check it out.

Do you have a link to purchasing it?
Actually, that one looks just like the piece of junk that I purchased. I'm hoping for a headunit that I can purchase and can flash with a custom from here.

For "Cheap Chinese" HUs, Newsmy type are the most popular here, followed by the older Huefei HUs.
I personally would (and did, but with a NEED for Android Auto) spend the extra $200-300 for a Pioneer 4100NEX with Android Auto and many other features, including US HD Radio. On EBay now for $500 shipped for refurb, or IMO better at $570 shipped brand new.
But if you need "full regular Android" to run any app, most "normal" HUs don't provide this, but maybe we'll get a ROM with full Android. Some Pioneer devices run Android under the covers and are getting a ROM now, in part to get Android Auto on devices like the older 4000NEX. I think that 4100NEX will get a ROM too, once it provides a good option for getting more than stock functionality.
The best "Cheap Chinese" HUs are stuck on Android 4.4 Kitkat at best and I doubt Newsmy/Huefei will ever get Lollipop.
These cheap HUs are also full of compromises and unless you understand and accept them, I think it's likely you'll regret getting one within 1-12 months, as you already regret what you have.

I read an Amazon.com review of one of the Chinese HUs where the guy said that the stock ROM on it was "OK," but once he flashed a custom ROM, everything worked great. He didn't provide a link to the ROM but he did say he downloaded it from XDA. So was wondering if there might be a decent head unit that I can purchase and flash and have it working well.

They are much better than you make them sound. Honestly they are very impressive for what you get for $100-$250 or so, you get a full android rooted system you can pretty much do anything with. And the quad core devices are very snappy and responsive, and the screens on the 1024x600 7" models are very clear and look great.
For the price, they are well worth it to me. The only real problem has been that the bluetooth design is not the best, and lots of people are just connecting a mic cable directly to the mic and ground pins on the bluetooth board to get around the poor internal mic issue. Other than that there is no real outstanding problem with them.

$100 ?
I thought the decent units, like Newsmy, started around $300 or so, and prices get higher when you need a non-generic, car-specific model.
To each their own, but I am still not a particular fan of Mediatek/Chinese chipsets. AFAIK, Mediatek still regularly violates GPL and keep more secrets than Qualcomm does, making it harder for kernel & ROM devs. Still true or no ?
Anyway, since I don't own one of the Chinese HUs, the opinions of people who own one may be more important than mine.
IMO anyone buying one should read the main threads for them for at least a few pages to get better informed.
For those who need "real Android" running on the HU, I'm recalling that the AppRadio Unchained Reloaded app seems a decent option for phone mirroring to Pioneer HUs.
I must sound like a paid Pioneer rep sometimes, LOL, but reality is that my best interests are in people running my Headunit app on tablets than buy an HU. But I only recommend that if it seems the best option for them.
I'm torn between the carjoying RK3188 and the NU3001 Carpad. Anyone have experience with both can provide a recommendation? I was reading some of the posts regarding the carjoying unit and am concerned that I need to modify the internal to get a decent microphone quality. Not sure if this needs to also happen to the newsmy unit? I have also heard that the joking crew provides great support, which is important and like the fact that they have taken the time to create lots of tutorial videos. On the nu3001 - I like that the android unit is in a separate box. I seriously can't decide...lots of pros on both units.
DJRepresent - did you make your decision yet?
Honestly. I've been both a newsmy & huifei owner... I'm not a happy camper with the newsmy and their support.
My radio was working great then started to develop random screen flickers & after a firmware update it died. Ordered a replacement Android box (as the head unit & Android box is separate on the newsmy, had to fight to order it as I didn't order my radio directly from newsmy but from a reseller... Only managed to get it as a fellow xda member was a reseller and he placed the replacement order for me) and my radio now only half works. My physical buttons on my radio (as it's a Volkswagen specific unit) no longer work.
Newsmy has left me high and dry with the issue with zero support on the issue. I've spent about 700-800canadian on this unit and I have now a half working unit...
I'm starting to think about selling off and getting a joying/huifei unit. As the one I use to own before the newsmy is now in my dad's car and it's working perfectly fine. I only got the newsmy as at the time it was the only 1024x600 unit with 2 gigs of ram...
I believe now the joying & even the winlink units have 2gig ram models with the 1024 screen.
The winlink seems to be less popular but also seems to have a representative from the company participating in the forum activity. Newsmy use to have that... seems they are no longer focused on the carpad2 more their unreleased carpad3. Not sure if joying/huifei has a representative participating but seems to have a lot more overall owners participating with the development.
One downfall I had with my huifei that the newsmy doesn't have is the canbus. The canbus didn't fully work with my car or my dad's car (my car being a 09 vw jetta my dad's being a '12 vw jetta)on the huifei I had random issues with it. I ended up replacing their canbus with another manufacture and the issues resolved.
Newsmy also seemed more focused on eye candy vs actually developing the radio more... It still has no rds support.
Also the newsmy has no sub preputs.
Hmm other then that... I think that's the end of my feedback rant. Maybe a joying user can chime in?

I like my unit from carjoying.com, the prices are pretty good, and the support is actually better than I expected. But NO NONE of the more popular units(Klyde, Roadmaster, Hot Audio, Joying, etc) which are all based on the same HueFui design, all use the same RK3066/RK3166 Chipsets, and they all have 1GB Ram. The memory and cpu are all using the same plug in daughter boards that plug in to the various main boards.
Frankly I don't see the 1GB being a limitation, or that 2GB would help all that much. The quad core is what seems to be a big difference and makes the units very snappy. I know my unit I normally have Torque loggings engine stats, iGO GPS doing navigation, MediaMonkey playing MP3's, and DailyRoads recording the front camera all constantly going at the same time with zero noticeable slowdown, and the unit remains very snappy and responsive. I am not sure what else you would want to have simultaneously happening that would be better than what you can already do with the current units.
The best models you can get are quad core, 1GB ram, 16GB onboard flash, and 1024 screens. I would just make sure you get one with these specs and you will pretty much have the best currently available.

Thanks for the reply! I read from a post you started a while ago regarding the carjoying unit you modified internally to address the microphone poor quality. How bad is it out the box (without modifying the internals) or is this mod a must do before installing? Is this mod to address just the integrated mic or does this also impact the external mic input? Wondering if i wire up a quality external mic if that would keep from having to modify the internals. Your usage list above looks like similar apps I would be running in addition to an occasional hands free phone call. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! This is great info. I am truly sorry for your troubles. Hope you get your issue resolved. Support/customer service is something I highly value. Now that u mentioned it...I do remember seeing newsmy frequent presence in the large dedicated nu3001 thread early on, but they phased out as I skimmed though the posts. Thanks again for providing your experiences/feedback! +2 for carjoying
Honestly I just checked out newsmy's website and they have removed most of their headunits they once sold. So I would 100% rule out newsmy.
Joying in the lead but maybe check out winlink/ownice unit. As it's the quad core with 2 gigs of ram... I myself am 100% torn
I'm slightly shocked that there hasn't been anything new on the market. Faster cpu & more ram? Kinda sad that the joying unit doesn't have 2 gigs of ram. If it did I'd be jumping ship 12 hours ago as they have a nice looking vw unit that's all touch. Including the malfunctioning buttons that my unit has...

I'm a little shocked also, but from the feedback 1 gb should be good enough. I figure the units are somewhat inexpensive and don't mind replacing it a few years down the road if it becomes an issue. I finally pulled the trigger and purchased the carjoying unit. The crew has been in frequent communication with me since I purchased it making sure everything is right with my car configuration before shipping it. I'm pleased so far with the support and do not have the unit yet Hope my positive experiences continue after I receive it. Not looking forward to doing the mic mod though
Hello,
Long time reader but here's first post
I plan to buy an android head unit for my car.
I need your help to choose a model that feet my needs.
My car is 2011 mercedes B class (W245). It's actually equiped with an Alpine INE S900R unit.
I'm sick of it because of it's poor fm reception, poor gps reception and interface and moreover the crapy quality of hands free bluetooth with no possibility to stream music.
I look for a head unit that fits in my car.
I read that i have not much to expect from fm reception and functions. In my alpine unit rds, af and ta doesn't work well.
I think i will go for 2Gb ram unit.
I have the choice between units with 7" screen, hard buttons and a look like an original command ntg. On the other hand i can have 9" units with soft buttons.
As i don't plan to watch videos and don't need a dvd or cd player in my car is a 9" screen a big improvement ?
Of course i want to have steering wheel control, gps, wifi, an entry for a reverse cam.
I'm in france so i think i don't really need dab+ as our radio stations don't seem to be in a hurry to use it.
I've read bad comments about mtcd_kgl, but it seems to be the most common platform to find units which fits in mercedes cars.
Thank you in advance for your advices.
I'm in the same boat as you, since I drive a Sprinter (W906), which uses the same unit as for the W245.
I had a MTCD KGL 7" unit for this car before. All I can say is stay away from KGL (like the 9" screen unit your referring to https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/HD-9...4.48010108.5.2.KL6ja5&&scm=1007.12783.72505.0). The quality of the finish was terrible and trying to contact KGL in order to solve things in a mature way was simply fruitless because they cut off the conversation. Apart from that, the unit your referring to is still a MTCD-unit. By now, the general consensus on XDA regarding this platform is to avoid it. Malasyk did great things in trying to improve the firmware, but in the end there where too many bugs and limitations on hardware level that couldn't be overcome.
So for now I think the only alternative seems to be the Ownice C500-version with the 7" screen and the hardware buttons. Despite several bugs, to me it seems to be quite good and think of ordering one in the coming days.
Interested to hear your opinions on any other options.
Thank you for your answer.
The C500 is not an option for me as it seems to have an awful FM section with no support of rds functions.
Having spent hours to read the forum and search on the net I think that there might be only one option: finding a mtcc_kld unit which fits in my dash.
Kld units seem to be sold by pumpkin. The problem is to be sure to have one kld.
Chinese sellers would tell you anything to sell their product.
It's a shame I'd rather have A big screen and 2Gb ram.
The Chinese sellers are awful indeed, they will try to scam you into anything. However, Aliexpress does seem to be more strict in enforcing the money-back policy in case you specifically asked about a feature up-front and were given a positive reply by the seller.
Just ask for a screenshot of the system specs and make it clear that you will not accept something else. Problem is however: what do you do if they send you something else anyway? Taxes and return shipping will be your loss anyway and the guy who has bad intentions knows that.
I don't know what specs the pumpkin model has you're talking about. I would never go for a 1gb model anymore, just too damn slow.
You are probably right. I'll wait till I find a suitable 2Gb model
If you really want to get a KLD unit... nothing easier than that.
Pumpkin is just a reseller for a lot of different manufacturers and you mostly don´t exactly know what you buy.
Go to the factory itself. Get in contact with them by chat and tell them your wishes,

hello all, new here although i have ready many posts.
I have posted in another forum about head units, i have a Ford Focus 08 model so have joined the ford owners club forum for advice but i think some of my issues would be best answered in a place like this.
I have recieved some good feedback but i think i may have exhausted them with particular units.
I seem to have found some answers to my original post but have now dwindled my choice down to 3 so i need more help if at all possible...
so my post today was about how i have come to the choice of these 3..
XTRONS TE103AP
or
EONON GA2168
or
EONON GA2168k
The XTRONS is the top spec i can find on a 10" screen which could be overkill for my focus but it looks great in some vids i have seen, its also the only 10" that has 4gb RAM and 32gb ROM with octacore and Android 8.0 which was reccomended above so it has pretty much got me. the screen is detachable although slightly more longwinded to take off than some pumpkin and eonon models of similar size that i found. Also being black friday/cyber monday weekend i could get it with a fair whack off the price (£240ish on their site). My only worry is it doesnt look like it comes with the CANBUS adapter, i also am not too familiar with what that even is, is it just for steering wheel controls (which i dont have) or is it for the stalk aswell?
As for the EONON GA2168, that screen is better detachable and is also octacore however it is only Android 7.1 (is that a major difference?) its also only 2gb RAM and not 4 (again not too sure about this, would a car stereo really benefit from more than 2gb? This also doesnt seem to come with the CANBUS adapter but does come with a free rear cam or dash cam and is £247
And finally the EONON GA2168K which is very simlar obviously but is only 16gb ROM and again 2gb RAM but this time with Android 8.1 but only quadcore processor without CANBUS and also comes with free cam of my choice and is cheaper at £217
Both XTRONS and EONON offer similar spec stereos that will fit right into my hole that are only 7" however but do for some reason come with CANBUS decoder/box (is that the same thing?)
So im swaying toward the XTRONS, better spec and all that but will i need to but this CANBUS thing? Any help would be greatly appreciated, sorry this was a bit longwinded but i have spent many hours now researching/spreadsheeting/doing my missus head in with all this now and want to purchase while these deals and offers are on. Hopefully some of you may have experience here.
Thanks in advance for any input :good:
understandably i cant post links to the actual units or my original thread on the owners club but hopefully some of you will know which units i am refering to. Thanks
I have the ga2168k from Eonon...
Had it only a short time now but so far I love it.
Now, I'm using it as a daily driver in a Ford f550 superduty.... not entering it into a show...going to car club gatherings or anything of the sort. I wanted it because I needed GPS, hands free calling and that 10.1 BIG display just fits a Ford F550 well as it is a lot of truck.
Perhaps the more memory one may be better for you if you are watching things on it... or doing some crazy things with it... for a simpleton like myself, it's perfect.
Which did you go for in the end?
Im pretty much in the same position as you, torn between which 10.1 to go with... Pushing slightly more towards the Eonon GA2168K

I just installed a GA2168K yesterday in my 2006 GTO.
One thing I noticed in the included harness adapter is they have constant battery power and accessory power swapped.
Installed it with their R0008 dash cam that came with it. No DVR app. Finally found the main config menu (hidden by password 8888) and enabled DVR.
It does not detect the camera. it was working fine with my GA2170. Went to their website and was looking to see if they had a different camera available, and that is the only one. However, on the R0008 camera product page it gives a list of HU's it isn't compatible with, and the GA2168K is one of those. Sent support an email, hopefully will have an answer Monday on that. The other frustration is that half the settings they show in the user manual and online, aren't showing up in the actual menu's. Hoping they can send me a newer Firmware/OS that enables those... And finally, there is no seperate control for subwoofer like there was in the GA2170 Looks like I need to buy the remote amp level control and run a new cable to the trunk
Another issue... It is advertised as having 18 FM presets and 12 AM. It only allows me to store 6 of each...
Dears,
anybody tried Eonon GA2178 - 10" Android 9 Head Unit?
I'm actually on Eonon GA2168K - 10" Android 8 Head Unit, it's a good device with minor problems.
Anytime developers fix a problem they introduce an other problem and there's no community support for MTK chipsets.
Because of this I'm evaluating the new Eonon GA2178, that is quite similar but based on Rockchip chipset.
Tks!
Hi
I'm looking into buying an android head unit for the first time
My main option is to buy from Aliexpress, so i looked for options there and I would love some recommendations.
I don't have many requirements, i think that I can assemble it myself, but a few things I care about:
1. Waze, Spotify, Google Maps, and general android apps (I know every android head unit supports it, that's why I want one )
2. phone calls quality (road noise reduction and clear voice capture)
3. radio reception. my car currently has a head unit by jvc and the reception isn't great.
The main unit that caught my eye is TEYES CC3 (new unit to my understanding), it seems good but a bit pricey than others.
Another unit that have high sals is Junsun V1 pro, but I saw some bad reviews here.
other models i've seen are: Youmecity TS10, Aycenty PX6, AutoTop PX5, and LEHX (no model name)
I would love to hear recommendations / warnings / heads up
thank you!
EDIT: I don't have external amplifiers or subwoofer, just the regular OEM speaker array.

Suggest avoid all of the obscure types and look to an MTCD/E type, Dasaita sell these.
If you're not comfortable with quirks and bugs, problems, avoid these completely and look for a suitable genuine/branded Android Auto unit. You won't find Android Auto on on Aliexpress however - regardless of the wild claims.

I'm not afraid of bugs and quirks, i'm pretty capable of researching for solutions, but that means that I need a "popular" model, so I could find help within communities like this.
I will read more about what you suggested. to my understanding the TEYES ones aren't in this category, is that right?
what do you think of them anyway?
from the little I have read it seems to me that they are developing their own firmware, rom, and apps to work with these units, so I would like to think that they are doing a good job (are they?). furthermore I saw that they are releasing updates from time to time to fix bugs.
I'm not looking for a lot of customizability or frequent updates, after the installation and hopefully short debugging my intention is to enjoy it for several years without changes.
thank you very much!
Hello, what did you end up buying bud? 6 months later I am in the same boat as you, not sure what to buy in sept 2021
Hi !
I ended up buying:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32720737378.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.5a874c4dy5QaWA
I didn't want to wait for PX6, and didn't see much choices for PX5.
Initially my favorite was the TEYES, but my gf rolled it out (based on aesthetics and higher price)
My next choice was PX6 but I didn't find a good seller.
the product I ended up buying was from "Youmecity Car Multimedia Store", the seller was very nice and responsive, and has a lot of good reviews.
downsides for my unit: it isn't much configurable, the internal mic isn't working (and you can't connect external one), I didn't find (although I didn't spend a lot of time searching) different roms.
Overall I'm pleased with my unit (except the mic), its very responsive and works well, worked out-of-the-box, no cable soldering. even compatible with the rear cam I have installed.
Note - don't buy the OBD from them, it's huge, and it uses WiFi (can't connect in the same time with phone hotspot).
Note 2 - If you buy from his, ask for the new software version, they update it once in a few months.
If you have more questions feel free to ask here
Hey guys, I've been lurking on these forums for awhile and finally made an account. I'm trying to choose between these 2 android head units.
Dasaita: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001159292302.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.4a6b3c00svbFTW&mp=1
Navifly(6gbram /126gb rom): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002259595389.html?spm=2114.12010615.8148356.7.3b5772e5TzuaSs
Now the biggest difference I see is the Navifly now has the QLED display in comparison to the Dasaita's IPS display, the Navifly also supports 5Ghz wifi, and finally the 2gb of added ram and the extra rom.
I know Dasaita has good support, however, when I contacted them they told me they have no plans on upgrading their units to the QLED displays which is a bummer.
The Navifly is significantly priced lower with "better features" (even on sale the Dasaita is $550 plus shipping) , can anybody let me know their 2 cents as this is the first android head unit I'm purchasing; I'm mostly gonna be using apple car play, the radio and occasionally the built-in GPS, the audio output is also very important to me as I listen to music daily.
Thank you all in advance, hopefully, I can pick one after this thread!

Recommending choosing the device which is known and a wealth of information exists here - Dasaita, at least being MTCD/E type.
In any case, I could be certain you'll be buying a unit and then posting here for support, asking about bugs and then asking about alternative roms - refer MTCD forums for MTCD type ROMs.
What else has been considered apart from reading the resellers many claims of specification and quality, often all exaggerated. I'd suggest starting with knowing the MCU type, then researching experiences with these grey box units.
If you don't buy an MTCD/E type after that, at least you will have made an informed decision.
Edit: it's probably an FYT unit, but best find out from reseller.

Hey thanks for responding to me, I really appreciate it. I did contact the seller so I know its a FYT based unit. Honestly still leaning towards the Dasaita based on the support and the numerous threads I see here on the XDA. The only thing for me is the Dasaita is basically $250 more, with technically "less" features.
If it was up to you, would you go with a MTCD/E type over a FYT?
I wouldn't be worried about the QLED over the IPS. I doubt there's much difference, I just bought a UIS7862 with QLED from IDoing, it's nice screen but still not bright enough in bright daylight. I'd be more interested in the UIS7862 over the px6. The new chip is significantly faster.
What I'd be WORRIED about is the price difference on a nearly identical if not upgraded unit. For 90 bucks I doubt you're getting a 400 dollar radio. QC is probably questionable even more so than normal. On the other hand for 90 bucks you're not out much except time.
Also as stated you'll get more support here for the DX6 Daisata.
Check the input/output abilities. I don't know much about Navifly, but I usually go with Dasaita since it is known for a larger I/O array with a whole mess of specialty plugs on the back for tpms, tv, dash cam ... etc as well as all the software for that stuff already onboard. That leaves the other more traditional inputs free for other things. A better screen would be nice but It's my belief that that better I/O is the most important.... in my book anyway.

Sorry for the late reply for some reason I didn't get any notifications. I think I'll save up for the Dasaita. That being said I was looking into custom roms from Malysk, do you recommend custom roms over what you get from the factory?

Thanks for you opinion I think i'm going to save for the Dasaita PX6 if all goes well!
Why not the new joying?
11"
Bluetooth 5.0
1080p HD supposedly
I just bought the Navifly UIS7862 and I'm happy with it. It has wireless CarPlay, the QLED screen is bright enough even in these sunny summer days and audio is superb.
