I have found the moto e4 device tree, kernel source, and vendor on github, thanks to the rom threads, now I am trying to compile aosp nougat for the device. I configured the build environment, but I cant figure out how to add these things to the lunch menu so that it will give a option for perry? Can anyone guide me through it?

You might want to check out the E4 telegram group. I'll see you guys there have built ROMs for this phone and they might be able to help you. Most of the guys that have built the ROMs you see in the Forum are there.

Hey everyone out here .I wanna request the devs of this device to please look forward in building roms for moto g 2014 .
A month after the release only a single rom is been seen......hope there is someone who can look into the forum of moto g2
Pointless thread.
I don't know anything about Moto G 2014, from source perspective, but are they released the sources for different things for the device? Or are you here to call out the devs for making wonders in a land without source code?
Also, I remember when I got my Moto G 2013, first, there wasn't even a proper custom recovery image out there, only the superboot from MoDaCo, so patience my friend.
I agree there's no point in begging for developement. People will build if they want and when they want.
I agree dude but there's big difference between begging and requesting.
I now just came to know about the kernel sources not being released ...so devs might close the thread for good.
Thanks for replies friends.

Moto G 2014 will see custom roms after kernel source and lollipop release. Like others stated show some patience. In the meantime you can root and install xposed framework.
As the title suggests... i have looked all over the web for a device tree to be able to compile android with but all i have found is a basic dev tree for building twrp...
could someone please point me in the right direction or even advise me on how i would compile android from source for the sm-t230/t230nu
thanks in advance...
I've also been looking into this. I want rid of TW in the worst way.

We don't have a complete dev-tree yet. Samsung dosen't really want to release a lot of source code and so, there are lots of missing parts like driver sources and incomplete kernel sources etc. We also don't have a proper cousin device yet so it is very hard to build a tree for us.
I want to start with cm development for this device, is anybody already working on it so I can join? It would be a waste of effort when multiple projects were initiated.
Edit: I started fiddling with osprey sources and having a peak at the TWRP config for this device. Uploaded sources to https://github.com/Moto-G4 but this is nothing more then the osprey sources and replacing osprey with athene.
As someone with no understanding whatsoever on making custom ROMs, thank you for doing this. Also I'd maybe have a look at the forum for the g4 plus as these phones are pretty much the same (camera and fingerprint detector).

Ok, compiling first build, lets see where this will take us...
Hey all you Sharp 306sh users!
I love this phone and decided to start a ROM port to Oreo 8.0.0!
To date here's what i got
1. Device tree built
2. ASOP stock rom built successfully
Here's what I need to get done next
1. Access bootloader to flash images
2. Test for vendor blobs needed so I can make the vendor tree (if required)
Your help on this would be greatly appreciated as I am just getting my feet we in this process, this is a great phone and I would love to see it updated.
Please let me know if you are interested in helping with this project!
Edit 8/6/2018: Device tree is on Github,
https://github.com/RobertCC18/sharp-306sh-rom
More to come once kernel is built!
Edit 10/12/2018:
I am uploading the first test build so I can get some help with the debug. THIS ROM IS GETS STUCK AT THE SHARP BOOT LOGO AND IS NOT READY FOR PRODUCTION DEVICES!!!!
That being said, any help and logs that you can send are greatly appreciated.
This zip can be flashed through TWRP, check the downloads section

Great! I´ve got a 306SH model, i can be a tester... waiting for your first zip :highfive:
Awesome.
I tried this exact same thing before, but gave up soon after I couldn't diagnose what stopped my device from booting with my custom ROMs, as I could never find the logs.
It looks like you're making more headway than me, so I'd love to test it, or even just help out.
Keep on going! A GitHub would be great progress.
Update 7-4-18
Update - 7/24/2018
Recompiling Kernel with debug drivers included - current compiled kernel missing RAM Console support
Github repo coming soon!
Great! Always wanted a custom room on this phone. I can test it and try it out too
Good progress.
Make sure to keep us updated, once you have a GitHub repo, development should speed up.
I'm sure there are a few techies with this phone that would love to contribute to your ROM, myself included.
By the way, you said ASOP instead of AOSP in the original post.

Thanks, whoops on the typo!
Been busy with work but hoping to upload device tree, kernel base and current build, waiting for kernel to finish building with RAM console drivers.
Update 8/6/2018
Github Created
https://github.com/RobertCC18/sharp-306sh-rom
Device tree is added, kernel coming soon!
About accessing the bootloader to flash images, I believe we've done this before.
Tewilove, the man behind rooting the 306SH managed to access it, and made a custom one to flash, if I do remember correctly.

Worth a look.
No development in a while. We all hope you're still there.
I visited the Github and just found it to be text files and folders. Could you possibly post the WIP kernel or other vendor blobs on there,
so we have at least a basis to begin work on?
Thanks,
This is an amazing idea. My 306SH is rooted and ready for action.

Yes I am still here and working on this, just haven't had much time lately. I will try to get the kernel and vendor blobs up within the next few days
Been waiting for a custom ROM for this phone. I'm ready to test it
Any update on the development of the ROM??????
Any progress?

Hey everyone,
Sorry for the delay in development but I hit a major snag with the kernel build and am still working on overcoming it. The needed defconfig is missing so I found one that should get us close, at the very least it should allow us to see the RAM debug messages on boot failure.
Also, my internet has been to slow to upload the kernel to github but I have an upgrade and should be able to get it uploaded within the next couple days.
Please share any information that you find regarding this phone here on XDA and beyond, any info you can provide will help me get this up and running faster!
Hey, how's everything going? Any luck?
What's up with it?
Hey All,
Sorry for the delayed responses, this phone seems to be a lost cause. But I am not a quitter lol!
I am hopeing to get back into the swing if things here in the next few weeks and will post more updates and files here shortly
Current problems:
No debugging enabled
Kernel needs patched to support Android 6+
We wish you the best of luck!
Hi
Our team is developing some neat tools for this device, our programs and tools are not GPL'd and NOT open source.
We are developing a full device tree in this process so we are building some recoveries and such to test,
much of this will be part of our end GOAL/Development project.
But in the mean time, If you have ANY variant of the Moto E6 and would like to help further development for the device,
you may join us in our Telegram Group.
There's a few rules:
don't tell us how to run our test program
don't try to take charge leave it to a moderator
dont repost/ publish our work anywhere including google drive or xda
and dont start arguments about licencing/gpl or any other frivolous/fluff stuff
everyone gets the mention in the credits at the end when it all gets pushed to Github...
if you can handle that and you want to see what we have going on...

I own a Moto e6s (XT2053-1) and would happily test whatever you throw at me.
However, I have found no way to unlock the bootloader yet.

Great, thanks!
Here is what I did:
enabled USB-Debugging and OEM-unlocking
from the dialog of AIO-toolkit chose "Unlock bootloader"
device boots into fastboot
resulting message:
Code:
FAILED (remote: ’unknown command’)
fastboot: error: Command failed
Bootloader Unlocked!!
Rebooting to Android
Rebooting into bootloader
[...]
The bootloader is still locked.
Anything I could do?
The E6s runs on a different SOC compared to the E6 (former is Mediatek Helio P22, later is Snapdragon 435), so you wouldn't be able to use this recovery anyway.
Thank you for this

That would be true if different soc.
Mine is the snapdragon 435.
So this will not be compatible with the e6s.
Being mediatek,
Did u try mtk-su?
Works for some mtk stuff
Sorry the toolkit didn't work for u

Thanks for coming back to me!
I tried mtk-su, both the app- and the adb-solution - unfortunately neither of them did work.
There is any possibility for Moto E6s (Fiji) (XT2053-2) users ?

Hey there,
I just bought the Moto E6 (XT2005DL) From WalMart so it is a Tracfone.
OS: Android 9 *Pie*
The only thing holding me back from setting the OS God's free on this phone is a laptop. Mine was stolen 2 weeks ago.
Lol Anyway looking forward to working with the group.
