There's a thread on this in the Nexus S forum, but I figured we could start one here for the locals.
Thanks to Tk-Glitch and times_infinity, we now have the beauty that is Voodoo Color available for CM7. Please share and discuss your voodoo color settings. Of course, everyone's experience will vary. This is just what works for your phone.
Here's mine:
Color profile: Voodoo profile v1
RGB multipliers:
Red: 2771276480
Green: 2853085440
Blue: 2812181120
Gamma hack:
Red: -26
Green: -30
Blue: -33
It would be awesome if somebody that has a display calabrating device stick it on the phone and give use some "professional" numbers to start off at. This is done often in the HDTV world.

2) SRB multipliers:

Green ="2300875360"- update.
Blue ="2709919680" -update.
I am running these settings directly from the post in the nexus s forum. Looks absolutely superb even at low brightness.
The only quirk with these settings is having to leave minimum brightness at the default 20%, no biggie.

Yeah its a good start, they are similar to what I ended up with after an hour of messing around with the phone. The thing that sticks out to me is the screen clarity definitely suffered. If you get a picture that has tiny details like a black leather wallpaper that shows grain, there is a noticeable difference from stock to the above posted settings in shadow detail and image clarity. I'll keep messing around with it more and post later on.

I have access to the calabrating equipment for HDTVs.
I'll see what I can get going on this. May take some time but I'll get on it when I can.

It looks great, but i can't stand how the screen messes up when it goes to "dim" mode (on miui anyway).
I use this currently on miui:

Nope. This setting will be safe.
Also,
And just as an update, glitch's new kernel fixes this issue (beta tested atm); so you will be able to use any setting you want without the screen freaking out once he releases it.
Anyone have any better settings for our device? The nexus s ones look pretty good. Anyone do a pro calibration yet for the fascinate?

Bumping this to see if we can get anymore setups
I'll post my setup just in case anyone else finds it useful. I found that some of the settings posted were somewhat red/green when the screen was really dim (my dim setting is at 10), so I blued it up a bit. Things may not be all that different from stock, I haven't really compared.
voodoo profile v1
Screen RGB:
Red - 23111...
Green - 18713...
Blue - 23724...
Gamma offset:
Red -14
Green -17
Blue -18
EDIT: When looking at my gmail inbox (namely, unread messages), I still found the gray to be too red. If you agree, I've toned the red setting in SRGB to 21168...
Cleanest colors for me were as follows:
RGB Mulipliers:
Red=4294967290
Green=3354165120
Blue=4294967290
Gamma Offsets:
Red=0
Green=0
Blue=0
All the others I tried were just too red, green, or dark. These are perfect for me, try it out yourself!
--Changed my settings a couple days later..see this post.
Spent some time and found these to be the best settings for me.
Color profile: Voodoo Profile v1
Screen RGB multipliers:
Red = 3200773120
Green = 3159868800
Blue = 4008636160

Well, tried all the other listed here...liking yours the best so far..wish the app allowed you to TYPE in the values as well as the sliders...o well..
Anyone have the equivalent stock values for this(CM7 stock kernel)...I flashed the glitch kernel and was very put off by the ugly warm color scheme....what was wrong with stock colors any way...IMO they should have some Presets, like Stock, Cool Warm, Standard...kinda like they do for desktop monitors..

It will be fixed in the next glitch update. I'm about to post my color settings which have great vibrance in all brightnesses and color ranges, white whites and black blacks. I have tried just about every recommended setting and nothing has looked quite right until I spent some time making my own.

Hi!
I've noticed that my screen has (okay) color.
I've also noticed that it is possible to calibrate them.
I've tried this through franco.kernel updater and YES, the color has improved.
Now, which calibration settings and procedure would you recommend for the best results?
A different kernel or app perhaps? Specific color profiles, maybe?
Thanks!

The options here are identical to those offered by his kernel updater app.
I want to know which color settings profiles offer the best results.
Which ones do you use?

RGB
Gamma can't be modified on the stock kernel which is what I run. However, Franco allows you to adjust gamma with a custom kernel, however I don't know the settings.

Yeah, I'm running franco's kernel + prima drivers.
Thanks for the RGB values. I'll try them out.
Also, anyone running franco.kernel is welcome to post their preferred RGB+gamma values.
Thanks!
The Franco kernel app comes with a big set of gamma profiles submitted by users. You need to press a button in the app to be able to see those though.
I suggest trying those to see if there's something you like.

Yeah, I tried a few of those. But, it's hard to compare the differences.
When I try change Notification LED Color, The primary color "Green" and "Blue" do not seem to work. But when I move the slider down, I get RED, Pink, Yellow and Cyan.
Using Elemental-X 1.02 Kernel and tried with Chroma, Noobuilds and PureNexus. Could anyone confirm this?
After checking with various LED Notification apps, I guess color codes needs to be updated for n6p.
I use Lightflow (stock, unrooted) and all the colours work fine.

Try the blue that's 2 below the orange in light flow. That one works fine for me, but the orange like you said shows as yellow.
Can confirm this problem too. I'm using Light Flow and the LED white color is not even truly 'white', which really bothers me. The lack of colors has made me change all Gmail, Messages and Missed calls to white (I use green for fully charged, blue for charging & red for low battery). Other than that, everything works fine in my opinion.

Yea the other 1 is cyan. That works but the straight up blue does not. I'm just glad that I wasn't the only one having the problem. So, I'm betting there'll be a fix for it eventually.

Hello,
Since my A300FU doesn't have LED Notification, is there any mod that allow Touch Key Light work as Notifocation light? Because I do remember, long time ago, someone manage to mod i9000 touch key light to become notif light.
So, I believe there is a chane to mod it in our A series phone.
Thank you very much.

I don't know exactly what the name of it, but what I mean is those 'back' and 'recent app' button.
Yes, those are called the Capacitive Keys or Buttons.
It used to be kernel dependent with the BNL stuff, but i've seen a lot of apps do this now.
I found these:
http://www.redmondpie.com/transform...d-device-into-notification-led-with-this-app/
http://geeknizer.com/use-capacitive-buttons-as-notification-led-on-android/
i had no time to test so dont consider this researched yet ...
the lack of LED lights in A series sucks...really short sighted sammy.

This is a kernel feature called BLN. If the kernel does not support it, then no app could activate it or use it... A500FU stock kernel does not support BLN

yup, i may stand corrected there, but i havent seen BLN stuff for ages...in fact, i've seen it last in S2 forums.
btw, i remember BLN being a battery hog...
Or... instead of BLN, you could use camera LED flash when receiving calls, messages, or notifications...
NoLed from playstore is almost as good as having LED for our AMOLED devices .
So, I believe, what we need right now is kernel developer, because I think we can get the kernel source of A300FU from here: http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/receptionSub.do?method=sub&sub=F&searchValue=a300fu.
Right?

You are kind of wrong. Its whole different in AMOLED displays than LED displays.
On AMOLED the whole screen doesn't turn on. Only those pixels that are being used.
And I can assure you, absolutely no extra battery drainage what so ever occurs.

Lightflow can do it, but i find the colors from the led are somewhat poor, white and light blue look similar, there are only a handful of colors you can choose before you can't tell them apart.

Maybe try light manager and see if that works. While I don't use it for different phone numbers, I do use it for differ ent tasks and have found the color spectrum to work well.
