I'm coming from iOS where I was used to have each notification separately from the same app. Android stacks notifications which is annoying as I cannot see the content on my smartwatch for 2 or more unread notifications. They all appear as grouped from each up until I read them in the app.
Is there a way or app that sets individual notifications?

I would like to know, if there is any application, which shows large Icon for MMS/SMS notification on the Today’s screen, Basically, the Default tiny icon over the top on screen is small to notice, especially if, you put TyTn on silence OR Vibration mode.
Try phoneAlarm and turn alerts for unread SMSes and MMSes on. The latest beta provides MMS notifications separately from e-mails.
When I get app notifications for things like text messages or emails, entering the app directly and opening the corresponding message does not dismiss the notifications from the notification center. Is this normal behavior? I thought Lollipop did, but I could be mistaken. I either have to swipe the notification off, or click it to open the app to dismiss it.
I noticed the same, found it irritating and I got way to many notifications from all sorts of stuff, App's and OS. Eventually I disabled all notifications. The phone already makes a sound so i don't need any visuals.
I am getting the same issue, any fix/ workaround to get rid of the notifications?
In my case this seems to depend on the application. Whatsapp does this annoying thing, while Gmail and Inbox do not. I think that most apps are not yet updated properly for Marshmallow support.
Hi everyone, does anyone know:
How to group notifications for apps such as Twitter or News Republic? I have a small icon that indicates the notification for every single one of them;
I was also wondering if it's possible to "dismiss" the notification if I open the app, I shall make an example, I have 10 group notifications from a group in whatsapp and then 1 private notification, I tap on the notification and it opens whatsapp but I only check the private one, once I receive another notification the group I didn't read before will show up again, is there any way to count the group as "read" so that I'll only receive the new one?

Notifications like new mails from the e-mail app won't automatically dissapear after I read them/tap the notification from the notification bar. They only disappear after I swiped the notification away.
Is this normal Touchwiz behavior? Can I make the notifications automatically disappear after opening the respective app?
Does anyone know how to prevent multiple notifications from the same app? If I use e.g. Yahoo Mail, and I have several emails come in at once, I get a notification for each one. Be bong be bong be bong be bong be bong... I vaguely remember when I used SlimRom (Android 6 maybe?) that there was a setting to allow/prevent this type of multiple notifications from the same app. You would get one notification and then new audio notifications from that app would cease until you had cleared the old one. In LineageOS 15.1 I don't see anything similar and haven't found any notification manager that claims to address this. Any thoughts?
Android 8 notification settings don't seem to have this granularity and neither do any of the in-app notification settings that I have reviewed.
