SM-G930A to SM-G930U issues - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions & Answers

Hi, so I tried installing the SM-930U on my SM-930A. Idk if there were any prerequisites that I failed to follow, but now I cannot use the phone. It will boot to the OEM setup screen. I can get as far as the Google sign-in then the phone reboots. It happens non-stop. I can get into the bootloader. I can get into recovery mode, which initially says "No Command" with a picture of a dead Android guy.
Please advise

[Q] G2 stuck in an installation loop that started while updating to KitKat

I am stuck in an installation loop that started while updating to KitKat.
I was happy with my LG G2 (T-mobile, D801G), but wanted to use root apps. So, I rooted and installed TWRP, but did not flash a custom rom.
Tuesday when I woke up there was a message saying I could download KitKat. After installing my last system update I lost root, so just had to unroot and re-root – took me about 15 minutes. So, I decided to go ahead and install KitKat.
It downloaded and began to install, but got stuck in a loop. The LG logo flashes for 5 seconds, the little droid pops up with his stomach spinning and the message “Installing system updates” but shows for only about ½-second. Then the screen goes black for 2 seconds and it starts again.
I can get it into the factory reset screen, but when I say yes-yes, it puts up the message :
Error: Boot certification verify
341120
341170
341220 Secure booting error!
341270 Cause: boot certification verify
341320
341370
(the nunbers are different each time, but always 6 numbers in increments of 50)
Then it sits in a black, but not quite off screen until I hold down the power button to turn it off. When I turn it back on, it shows the logo, then the droid showing the message ‘Erasing…’ for a full second, then switches to the ½-second ‘installing system updates’ loop.
It will go into download mode. When I connect it to the LG flash tool ‘Up Test’ it says all firmware is up-to-date.
I tried this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142 but I couldn’t get Ubuntu 12.04 to install gdisk. Then I noticed that
ls /dev/sd*
returned the same values whether my phone was plugged in in download mode or unplugged completely. The values were
/dev/sda, /dev/sda1, /dev/sda2, /dev/sda3, /dev/sda4.
I tried the next step anyway
gdisk -l /dev/sdb
and got the error saying gdisk was not found, but I could install it with… etc. I tried to install it, but it wouldn’t work.
This is the second phone I’ve rooted – I had my HTC Sensation rooted for years, and flashed many ROMs. I hadn’t played much with the G2 because I liked it just the way it was – but had to have some rooted apps. I also have an HP Touchpad running Cyanogenmod. My experience with Linux is limited. So I’m just one step up from a noob.
Any advice would be appreciated! I bought a go phone so that I can take my time and fix my G2 right. :-/

Verizon Galaxy S7 only booting to a white "Verizon" screen

My wife's S7 is only booting to the verizon logo (with the little colored circles moving below). Long story short:
1) I was trying to back up her pictures to my PC and all of them disappeared from her phone when I drug them to my PC (6 months of pics). Not sure how that happened.
2) In my panic, I downloaded an application called DR. Fone which professed to be able to get the pics back.
3) After installing the app and connecting the phone, I started the recovery process, which rebooted the phone to a "downloading" screen and then booted to the Verizon logo I have been trapped on ever since.
I have tried powering off, rebooting, clearing the cache from recovery to no avail. I have a feeling that this app altered the bootloader or firmware and now I'm stuck.
Booting into recovery ends up with a "No Command" error. I can get into the Android Recovery menu from there ... but I don't want to wipe it just yet.
Any ideas what could be keeping me stuck on that screen?
Pleeeeaaaaasseee help!
Install this rom, connect to your computer with the verizon upgrade assistant running after the rom is installed. The verizon upgrade assistant should see the phone and you can update it from there.

Stuck on "an error has occuurred while updating the device software"... please help!

Stuck on "an error has occuurred while updating the device software"... please help!
Hello guys,
though I rooted two smartphones before, I'm completely stuck now and I seriously could use some help now...
I own an samsung A5 2016 (a510f) that I rooted today with one click root. Worked well, but then I got stuck in a bootloop. I used a hard reset to start again but there was still the bootloop. After that I tried to downgrade android to 5.1.1. using the firmware from sammobile.com (it was Android 7.0 before). Got into download mode and tried to install the 5.1.1 with Odin because I thought that maybe rooting would be easier/there would be no bootloop. But the installation didn't work. Now I'm stuck with the turquoise-white warning sign and the "an error has occuurred while updating the device software" - message. I tried to do an emergency recovery with Smart Switch, but Smart Switch tells me "SM-A510F doesn't support initialisation..." Please call the service center -> but I guess since I rooted the phone I won't find support there.
So I'm stuck now. The display is still glowing with the warning sign from the link above and the "an error has occurred etc..." message. I can't even turn the phone off, if I press "Volume down" + Power Button the screen turns black for a second, then the sign and the message returns... I can't get to the download mode or do a hard reset with the usual button combinations either...
Please, can someone tell me if there is another way to get my phone up and running? I searched the web but can't find a solution to my problem... Did I brick the software?
Greetings, bomb3rman
Any help would be appreciated...
Try SmartSwitch. It might not work because you're rooted. Or Samsung has dropped support for the 2016 series. But worth a try

I tried Smart Switch already, thought there might be another way I'm not aware of.

S8 instant boot crash, can't go into recovery mode. How F***ed am I?

1 year old S8 unlocked (SM-G950U1), stock software. Was running slow today, so I rebooted, and it now crashes almost instantly after showing "galaxy s8" on the boot screen, and just sits there with a slow blinking blue light.
Hard reboot just does the same thing. It won't go into recovery mode. I CAN get into software upload, so I tried flashing stock ROM back with Odin, but that fails, and now I get the "an error has occurred while updating the device software" error. Samsung Smart Switch isn't recognizing it as a supported device.
Can't get TWRP to install because FRP lock is on (and since I can't boot the phone, I don't think I can disable this).
So, am I stuck with a fancy brick?

No twrp for this device. You are probably flashing the wrong revision firmware. You need to flash equal to or greater than what's on the device
Also that same screen of error you can flash in Odin

SM-G930A Odin flash successful but still won't boot up...

Had my trusty Cricket/ATT S7 go down the other day. Successfully flashed firmware available here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...in-files-g930aucubctb1.3869871/#post-78222219 , but phone still won't boot. All I get is the blue "recover booting...." message. I can also force it to attempt to update by pressing home/pwr/up, but it fails within a few seconds. Any ideas? The phone wasn't dropped or damaged in any way. It just locked up during a text.
