How to Connect Fire HD 8 to Projector? Can a midi USB to HDMI work?

Hello everyone, my department is having a training session and we are using Amazon Fire HD 8 tablets. It is an interactive session and the presenters want to be able to project what they are doing to participants so they can follow and replicate easily what is being projected.
Can you advise if a mini usb to HDMI adapter will work to connect the Fire HD 8 to a projector? I looked on amazon at a few but none mention being able to work with this generation of the Amazon Fire.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
I know on the 2nd gen Kindle Fire's had a micro HDMI out- my mom used to stream Bosch from it before I got her a firestick. The new ones only have usb. I just tested the 7th gen Fire HD8 with a usb-to-HDMI converter and it didn't work (I used this: https://www.amazon.com/CyberTech-Ad...=1530869148&sr=1-2&keywords=Micro+USB+to+HDMI)

Jailbroke Firestick cannot connect with Ethernet Adapter

Hi, I am new to using a Firestick. I was fortunate to have a friend that gave me one. I know my Firestick is rooted to get what it needs. I am assuming that rooted means Jailbroke. If I am wrong please let me know. I am having a problem with my Firestick in the form of this, I bought an Amazon Ethernet Adapter for Amazon Fire TV Devices. When I try to connect to the Firestick I cannot get it to work. I see the Firestick on my router’s information page, however, I cannot get it to use the ethernet connection. I am sure the unit is working without the Ethernet Adapter because I saw it work on Wi-Fi. I searched for some information and I found this article. It makes me think, is there something else that needs to be done to the unit before it will work? Any help or advice appreciated. Thanks
I had the same issue. I checked all the connections and the cheap usb hub I was using was the issue. I used a recommenced usb hub and now the ethernet connection on the usb memory stick work fine.
First off, jailbroken is an apple term.
Rooted is an Android term. Most likely what you have is neither. You probably just have unknown sources enabled to be able to install apk apps outside of the store. It's nothing illegal as it's a feature built into Android.
As for the adapter not working, I would guess you have the older model. The Amazon fire TV stick gen 1 does not support OTG (On The Go) which is a tech that is required for the adapter to work.
Gen 2 supports it as well as the pendant and the cube.
Go into Amazon setting and check the about my fire section and find out the model and os version to confirm your gen.

Also can check the FCC ID number on the housing.

2nd-gen = 2AE6S-0948

Shield TV 2019 - My Failed Attempt At Root

From what I have read the 2019 Shield TV Pro has the exact same motherboard as the 2017 16GB model. Both the 2019 and 2017 have the same model number (p2897). The only different that I read is the Terga X1+. I didn’t see any mention if the memory chips were changed or not on the 2019 model.
I decided to unlock my boot-loader and try to boot (but not flash) TWRP Shield TV Pie Edition and see if it work for possible root. It boots up every time. However no matter what I try the Shield TV won’t detect my mice. I tried six different mice and none worked. I tried both wireless and wired mice. I know with my old Shield TV if I hook the mouse upto a powered usb hub first then had that go to the Shield TV it would detect the mouse every time. Sadly, even this method didn’t work. The 2019 model will not detect any of my mice. I have no clue why.
I just thought I would share this information. If anyone has any suggestions or figured it out and/or gains root please post it here. Thank you

Control volume of bluetooth speaker

As per AFTVnews, 3rd-gen Fire TV Stick has got the ability to control volume of paired bluetooth speaker in software update version 7.2.4.9. My 2nd gen stick has updated to v7.2.8.2 with new UI but does not have this feature. Any idea if that feature if even coming to the 2nd gen fire sticks?

No idea... I hope they add full internal USB storage access on all the 4K sticks too.
You might want to take a look at Precise Volume (+ EQ/Booster) v1.19.1 [Pro] for your sticks Bluetooth needs. Probably won't let you use the controller though.
