Which tests did you make to test? Changed the wifi router, tried with another Hotspot?

I am in Lovely Professional University and i am facing the the same issue when connected to my hostel's wifi network . although the same kind of wifi setup is also there in the campus but there it works fine but in the hostels the phone gets restated again and again when connected to wifi .
I am also facing the same problem. In my case its only for particular settings of the wifi. On some settings the mobile is fine while in some ip address settings in college , the mobile gets restarted.

My WiFi works fine in my college. I am in Bangalore! It's a great phone IMO. I've hear a lot of complaints about the phone but I haven't personally faced any of it

Fix for Wifi issue
Go to recovery mode(google it if you don't know how), Wipe cache and restart your wifi might work.
WIFI Issue
This Issue is still present. I tried flashing custom ROMS also, but no use. Anybody has a fix or solution for this phone restart issue when connected to a public wifi?

Yureka for some reason has issues with a some type of authentication protocol that these public and college Wi-Fi routers use. So this restart issues will persist irrespective of the ROM you are using.
im facing the wifi problem but it is not restarting it is not getting connected to wifi . but before last weak it was getting connected

Hi dude,
I am also facing same problem but I found a solution by installing 'WiFi fixer' app from play store then onwards its working, device is not at all restarting. But this app restarts WiFi module of your device instead of restarting entire device.
i am also facing same problem of yureka wifi not connecting in college
in home it works fine
once it gets connected but aftr that i have to restart it
I am getting disconnected after a few min, when I don't use it.After rebooting my yureka device twice, then the WiFi gets connected. Suggest me a solution please.
When I use any other rom except primary rom via multiboot patcher wifi.anf.hotspot does not work but it work good in primary rom.......why.....plzz solution

Hello,
out of the box Android version..
Regards!!
Could be that router has old WiFi connection - > 802.11 b/ or g/
I had same problem in my dorm. The only solution is to change router, or to use mobile network.
I have a number of issues connecting to 5Ghz wifi. Most of the time it just refuses to connect. My first moto x I had fixed it with a simple wipe. This one, not so much. I run all stock. Also, my access point is less than a month old.
well it's my client and hotel network i think i cannot change anything from the router there jajaja
Thanks guys!!
Hi,
1: So every time I use my nexus 6P to make Wifi hotspot, it was fine when the screen is on but when the screen off my laptop or any other laptop I own couldn't connect to it, I tried and tried over and over again but no luck.
2: the second problem is that I couldn't use Wifi Hotspot 5Ghz bandwith .
Does anyone have solutions to these problem of mine? Please.
Thanks in advance .

Hello everyone,
I have a TA-1039 and I've noticed that the WiFi is not working properly.
Before this update, I use to have a perfect strength and speed from both home and work and now it's a very poor connection.
Do you have this issue with your device? Could you help me how to fix it?
Thanks in advance.
Try disabling Bluetooth scanning in Location settings. It may interfere with some 2.4G channels.

After updating to Android Oreo 8.1 , Make a backup to your device , just the photos and videos and contacts , then reset your phone and every thing will work properly , i have a Nokia 6 2017 and it works fine after resetting , because i had the same issue which is caused by the update somehow.
I had the same issue
I bought a nokia 5 & 2 weeks later
The wifi connection was dropping everytime even when i was close to the router
I read in other forums by changing the multimode B/g/n in the router fix it
So i put B/g only & the wifi icon bars increased 1+ & doesnt drop anymore
I am currently running official stock 8.1.0 (June update) and my wifi will not hold a connection. It keeps connecting, disconnecting and reconnecting over and over again. I have tried Bluetooth off/on and airplane mode as well. I've also reset network settings and factory reset...no help from any of those.
Anyone have this issue/a fix for it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
all fixed...it was a router problem.

With Oreo I have allot of issues with Bluetooth and wifi. On older routers for some reason I have to reset them in order to connect. And with Bluetooth if I leave and come back have to toggle on and off before will reconnect. Never had any of these issues with Nougat on same devices. It always works in the end just takes extra unnecessary work lol. ?

simply unplugging my modem/router and plugging it back in fixed the issue. strange but true!
