sounds like it needs a factory restore (partition layout broken?) via QPST and the latest fastboot image.
fastboot boot twrp.img and copy all your valuable data first.
edit: you could try
Code:
fastboot flash misc tissot_images_V9.6.4.0.ODHMIFE_8.0\images\misc.img
first. though not sure if it works. "No such file or directory" usually means the partition is gone.

Hi,
I followed carefully all instructions for ROM installation from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2059651
All went fine until ROM installation. I have chosen rom (zip) file and pressed install.
You can see what happends here:

I re-dowloaned this rom again and it did not help.
I tried 3 more roms and always there is same situation.
PC says that Phone drivers are upto date.
There were NO errors in the meantime.
I have re-installed CWM but it did not help either.
Someone has any ideas about it?

Sorry, but what do you mean by this? not installing? not booting? or what ROM you used?

If you see the photo with rom installation screen - it hangs on that screen. So i think it is not installing what also causes not booting
I tried first 3 from

So you have tried the latest ROMs,
after "opening package" written, you should be able to see "Installing..." with Title "Phonerty" on my ROMs. and at least it just takes 5 minutes.
If not shown, then the Zip must be corrupted while downloading or your SDCard can be unclean or damaged microSD, try to format your SDcard FAT32. or you can even Partition that will format your SDCard in the Recovery on your Phone!, go Advanced and partition, after completing that, you can copy your ROM zip files via USB at recovery Mount options.
after installing, you must Installation completed... then Manually restart your phone.
Have a nice try
Worked!
Dear iPlasm!
Many thanks - it works fine. Many thanks again!

@laikexpert haha.... I was about to post it here since no one replayed there, now you did it for me
Hello! Here is everything i did to get to this point:
• Unlocked the bootloader
• Installed TWRP
• Took nandroid backup
• Wiped everything (excluding USB-OTG)
• Tried to move files to the phone, and it created a no-name file with the windows drive icon
• Tried to delete the file, couldn't.
• Disconnected from PC, tried to wipe Internal Storage again, said " Error opening: '/data/media' (No such file or directory) "
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And it still continues to say "Error opening: '/data/media' (No such file or directory)" every time i try to wipe the Internal Storage, doesn't matter if MTP enabled/disabled or if connected to PC or not.
So now i cannot move any files or folders to the phone, when i try, it does nothing.
When i try to create a directory on the phone, just says this (see image below) or hangs Windows Explorer.
I did all of this following this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/oneplus-5-unlock-bootloader-flash-twrp-t3624877
TWRP IMG used: Bluspark TWRP
I did NOT flash supersu or magisk, because i was going to install ResurrectionRemix ROM on the phone after all this. Also i did not reboot to OOS after installing TWRP, just wiped everything and i cannot move anything to the memory now.
[EDIT] When i go to Wipe>Advanced Wipe>Select Internal Storage>Click Repair or Change File System it says "Invalid partition selection"
What should i do? I hope i didn't somehow brick my brand new phone :crying:
did you try flash TWRP recovery "again" via fastboot? so restart phone in fastboot mode> flash recovery via ADB (or just copy TWRP recovery.img to your excisting TWRP and flash again as "recovery">reboot) You should than have a clean recovery. Than wipe everything also (incl. format data.) Than reboot in recovery and copy ROM file, Gapps, Magisk etc..etc.. from pc and start from a clean "scratch"
Edit: i had this kind of issue also while flashing unofficial Oreo LOS build. I ****ed it up also. Keep in mind as long as your PC reconize your device you are totally NOT bricked. So don't worry!!!
I solved it myself somehow...
Sorry about this whole post, i just somehow got this working when i tried to sideload an img file (ik, i'm a genious) it said "corrupted zip file" and now i can see everything again on the Internal Storage... wow.. How do i close a thread now?
Glad it worked out!
I think only a Forum Moderator can close threads.
Oh, ok. Do i need to contact one or do something so they can remove/close the thread? Thanks for the fast response anyways!

Mwah, no need. Mostly they keep the threads "open" so that other users with "similar" issues can learn or reply in your thread for help.
Ok. This just made no sense to me. Ty

Hello
I am trying to flash the global ROM on my K20/Mi 9T, but I am getting a weird error message saying 'antirollback check error'.
I know what anti-rollback is and I can check the ARB value with fastboot, and it was nice and clean 1.
I have seen a xda thread that someone succesfully flashed a rom with anti val = 0 to a device with anti val = 1.

Please help!
Install MiFlash at C:\MiFlash and try again. I got this error once and it was due to the fact that MiFlash has problems with paths containing spaces.
Yup, flashing from C:\ is what fixes this. Horrible programming, had to mess around for a whole day back when I encountered this error.

Man I installed MiFlash in C:\ as u said. But still I'm getting this error. I also tried flashing all the files in 'images' folder manually using fastboot and then flashing the file using miflash. Still the antirollback check error persists. Any solution?
I really don't know what advice to give you. Maybe use a different version of MiFlash?

Still wont work.
HEY! put miflash and the tgz file in desktop, create a foler inside miflash named "log"; change the tgz file to a shorter one and try again! worked for me!
Edit .bat/.sh file
Well, I just fixed the same issue and solved it by editing the flash_all.bat or sh file ( windows or Linux). Just comment out initial lines without [ fastboot ] word. These lines are typically a version check.

just saying, u CAN'T flash a 0 to 1 rom .. if u happy it only will stick to 1 , if u unlucky you get a ARB brick

Tried just to copy only MiFlash folder, error still happens. After copy the firmware into the MiFlash folder, it works fine!
To fix this 1-most flash from C:\MiFlash
2-The firmware folder name most be without spacing like :
(Redmi k30 pro) this is wrong ×
(Redmi_k30_pro) this is right √
Hello. I just got OnePlus 5 yay. I tried to root it. I played a bit with the TWRP recovery and eventually I can't install the oxygen ROM, old or latest. I get this error 7:

Tried changing file system type for all folders and also tried to remove compatibility.zip out of ROM with 7zip.
I can install other ROMs like MIUI and LineageOS successfully.
When I'm trying to go Factory Reset i get this message. I believe there's connection between the two?

Error 7 means corrupt zip file.
So maybe you have a wrong starting point for your rooting project
Where did you start with?
What is you current twrp recovery (file name)?
What is your current Rom(file name)?
What is your magisk version?
Is your storage encryped or decrypted?
I can see the error there is a assert command. The zip file isn't for your device. If you have a full rom backup (twrp and stock rom zip recommended), then you may just edit the updater-script and remove the assert check system from the updater script. Then create a zip file of the folder contents. Then try again. If it doesn't help, report back here.

I actually had this issue last night when I went from Pie to Android 10. I did the dumb mistake of flashing the dumpling TWRP instead of Cheeseburger. What I suggest is you reflash the latest TWRP for your device and try again. Below is a list of them for OP5 and I would recommend Coreworkx TWRP
