there has been a lot of unofficial treble supports for MI A1 (my old phone) and REDMI NOTE 4 etc....so is it possible to re-partition and make this device treble supported unofficially ? Samsung will never enable project treble even in its high end flagships as they just want to make more profit #support_developpers

Are you looking forward to the 2018 flagship phones from Xiaomi - Mi 7 & Mi Mix 2S, especially since Project Treble will allow for ease of custom rom development ?
I probably won't upgrade my MI6 to MI7 but for other reasons. I don't like capacitive buttons and fingerprint sensors to be desapeared from front side.
Project Trebble is a great idea and is mandatory from factory Oreo versions. It will be easer to upgrade Android versions, even with MIUI.
I'm not so sure about kernel sources liberating, we have to wait more every time a new smartphone has been released from Xiaomi. I hope dev work will be easer to do with Project Trebble, and we get more stable custom ROM's.

Well, mi6 is my last xiaomi phone.
Without kernel sources treble is not comprehensive resolution.
I will buy phone from company which provide better developer support. Probably OP but I will also take a look what Huawei will do
Can sb plz add treble support for this device or port one from the Xiaomi Redmi 3S and plz port some other prep rooms other than LineageOS, maybe port them from the 3S too
Cuz if we did add treble support it would be easier to try new roms plus Android P
This thread is is to discuss whether Mi Max 2 is supported for treble either officially or unofficially. ?
Right now officially No and don't have any hopes. Un officially there are hopes as we have kany good devs
should be possible, since the first non-treble device that was made treble compatible was actually a xiaomi phone i think its a matter of having all correct drivers at hand and repurposing the vendor partition.

Pixel experience latest build is treble supported.
V_v3k on telegram group confirmed they have finally managed to make treble support for our device.
Also just a minor vendor mismatch is all need to be corrected then we will be just one step away from android p.
And yes its confirmed. We will get android p in near future thanks to the efforts of mi max 2 developers especially V_v3k, hardrock and jayb who worked together to make this a success.
They are currently working to make other ROMs treble supported.
Can we install android p gsi on pixel experience 22 build?

No not yet. You can try but its highly recommended to wait for a while.
As the developer himself has not yet tried.
Also the process of installing a gsi is slightly different from normal flashing.
Hello is possible to port galaxy note 3 to android P treble ? With gsi image ?
No
Other MTK devices are getting Project Treble support ,is there any support for redmi pro
No there's not. But I have an idea. What if someone just ports android oreo with treble, and then put a treble rom?
