Does Linage include GPS and WiFi fimware ? - Moto G4 Plus Questions & Answers

What parts of stock firmware is responsible for hardware such as(1) GPS; (2) WiFi radio, (3) cameras?
When installing Linage or other non-stock ROMs, is the above firmware code replaced or otherwise changed?

Any ROM compatible with 3.5.6 firmware ?

I've been for a long time on CyanogenMod but I've decided to take a fresh start and reinstall OOS, I used to be on the 3.0.1 firmware and everything was working great. But OOS is buggy and I used to get better battery life on custom ROMs sooo yeah. I've never tried lineage os but I think that it still runs on the older firmware, do you know ROMs working on the latest firmware ? Thanks !
Almost all roms. Exept you may find one where VoLTE is not working.
No roms run on the newer firmware as oneplus sources are from 3.0.x.
Until nougat is released we will not see updated sources.

[Q]. Problem With Wifi not turn on TW rom i9500.

hello, im having problem that my wifi not turning on, on TW rom. but in CM14.1 (lineage OS) the wifi will work again. so what is problem right now? rom or hardware?
How can it be hardware if it works on Lineage but it doesn't work on TouchWiz?
What's the logic behind that?
Broken hardware is a constant. It won't change just because you switched ROMs.
For example: if your screen is broken, then it is broken on ALL ROMs. It won't magically repair itself just because you changed software.
Same applies to any other physical damage a phone may suffer.
i don't know what problem is. mybe i should try flash stock firmware.

Does flashing custom rom as lineage os or aicp activate VoLTE?

Plz explain guy, i kaafi wanna know after i flash custom is everything working fine? Which rom is best for Moto x style?
No... VoLTE works just fine on most ROM's including stock, unless your carrier is Jio, then it is not supported in the modem firmware (yet), your actual installed ROM is not relevant as long as it supports VoLTE. There are rumors there might be a Nougat "patch" to enable it, but I would put that in the realm of hopeful user's wishes rather than truth.
If the Moto G 2015 is any indication, once it is working in stock with stock modem firmware, developers can likely get it working in custom ROMs but it might take some time (it took nearly a year to get it working in that device after the device supported it)

Solved : stock camera, BT and rotation sensors not working after flashing stock rom X01BDA

hello, developers,
I was on custom ROM Crdroid 6.7. I tried to flash stock ROM and relocked the bootloader. but after booting up the device into stock rom build Version WW-16.2017.2009.097, I found that the stock camera, wifi, BlueTooth, and rotation sensors not working.
please help me
Solved.
sensors issue occurs every time I flash the latest firmware on custom ROM.
so I tried to flash Version WW-16.2017.1903.064 official firmware downloaded from the Asus website. its gonna work. after successfully bootup I updated to the latest firmware via OTA updates.
I'm posting this for those who have issues like this on their Asus max pro m2.

N910F Gyroscope Not Working with GCardboard after Flashing Cooked ROMs

Hi everybody.
I have a N910F with stock marshmallow 6.0.1 Rom, everything work well but some app are not available for this Android release
and stock firmware is full of useless bloatware so I rooted the phone, injected with odin TWRP twrp-3.5.0_9-0-trlte.img and installed many different coocked ROMS, I tried:
Lineage OS 18, 17, 16
Aosp
Cr Droid
Havoc
Resurrection ReMix
and many others
I also installed OpenGapps, usually nano version, but also tried more complete versions
But.. I keep having the same problem:
Gyroscopes on Google CardBoard app are working on stock rom
but never work on cooked rom and do not work in any app related to Google Carboard (i.e. 3D games or 3D video players).
If I flash back the stock ROM gyros and Google CardBoard work again.
I tried many different ROM so I think this issue is relevant to something I do (or do not do) during flashing process.
Does anyone have a clue?
Can you help me please?
Thanks a lot
