Many a reviewers claim that it's screen has poor sunlight legibility. And reviewing a photo taken in bright outdoor condition is difficult, as reported. How's it in real life? Any workaround?
its ok and legible in direct sunlight but the colors will look washed out
Display and buld quantity got hit by cost cutting
I'd give it a 4/5. It's not bad at all but it's not something to write home about either.
I have read that it has many reflections. It is true?
Really interested in this topic
I'm a DJI drone pilot and for me is very important the brightness outdoors

I am using it from past 1 month. Under direct sunlight it's look like little bit dull. But it is not much a considerable problem. I never felt any visibility problem under direct sunlight.
Screen is pretty legible in the brightest sunlight and trust me I know , Mumbai after monsoon has the brightest sunlight.
Dunno why somebody will look for exact reproduction of colours in brightest light , well maybe .01% might and for them I don't think ant display will suffice.

I would give it a 4.5/5 on outdoor brightness. The only reason I don't think it deserves full points is because the plastic screen causes glares in the sun.
I would give it a 3.5/4. It might just be me our the screen protector. I still have to move to shade even at different angles. Maybe there is a trick.
3, in bright sunlight, I have to work really hard to see on screen images.

outdoors display has improved alot compared to other Honor devices.
But is it easily viewable in harsh sun? This is an essential point for me
It depend of screen manufacturer. My friend's honor 10 is ok. Myne is unviewable under sun.. I'm disapointed
it's far from great, it's OK, but for sure I've seen much brighter displays
No good visibility with outdoor light. Almost can't see the screen when using it as a GPS in my car.
Lot worse with EMUI10?
I have the feeling the phone has became unusable outdoor when the weather is very sunny. Am I the only one?

Not a really good performer here. If under the sun, it has a mild visibility. compared to my Nokia 8, It looks pale.
When outdoors on the shadow, it does looks good, just be sure to have the auto brightness on, or enable the outdoor switch on.

It works quite good on me. I can clearly see the display on sunlight (I'm turning on my auto brightness). Well, just a little con, I personally think it adjusts the brightness a little bit too long (delayed maybe ~1 second). It's not a big con, but still, sometimes I find it a bit annoying.

Inaccurate colour calibration.
Green tint
White is off
Colour temp settings is not correct
Sharpness is thirdclass
No brightness at all
I've never ised this kind of money waste display
Perhaps you have a different model LG than I've got, cuz I am quite impressed that I can see the display clearly in direct sunlight.
The max brightness in daylight was a knock on the V40 in the reviews when I was researching my next phone purchase. I find its adequate but it isn't as bright as my S7 Edge that it replaced

Though it has a 1440p Resolution. At maximum brightness we can able to operate phone under Sunlight
Sorry to bump this relatively old thread,
But it doesn't seem to be that bright to me in direct sunlight. I can barely see the screen.
On my old s8+, there was an outdoor mode which actually made me able too see the screen a lot better.
Is there anything else I can use to crank the brightness up a little bit?
Thanks!
gorgeous
screen
This model have a cool resolution even when you outdoor with it
