Twrp-3.0.0.2-himar - One (M9+) General

Posting a new thread was my last resort, so here goes.
I'm looking for a TWRP recovery for a HTC One M9e PCE. It's obviously a rarer model so finding stuff for it is incredibly hard. While searching the forum I came to the conclusion that there once was a file named twrp-3.0.0.2-HIMAR.img hosted on androidfilehost. But all the links are dead.
Does anyone have a copy of that image lying around? I would greatly appreciate if someone would upload it again. If I'm not mistaken the author of that recovery was mars3712, if that helps.
EDIT: I'm aware that there's a repo on github also, though unfortunately it's on a 5.1 base. The device in question is 6.0 MM. Would it matter?

Amazing, thanks for the upload. Apparently I need S-OFF to flash this. I've flashed some janky TWRP on this phone before and it never needed S-OFF. Any thoughts? Already running the ROM you posted.

Hey I'm seriously noob when its coming to HTC.
I dnt even know how fast boot mode works, If you can guide me through brief tutorial that should help me
Seriously dnt understand that tutorial, All i have done is boot phone to flash boot mode and waited PC to detect it, I dnt know what exactly should i do after connecting it
First open CMD.exe (command/ black box)
type cd and the go to were the files are located so if you put them in the map android on your c: drive it's cd c:\android
then connect your phone and copy/paste the codes from that post.

Hence i download this image from 4shared, Not sure this is the correct rom or not.
Help me after this
This happened because you flashed bravo recovery and not the 32a recovery.
follow the link provided by danger_tweaker post no. 4
everything is properly explained in and download your recovery "carz-clockworkmod-3.0.2.8-recovery.zip" only or if you are able to turn on device then download ROM Manager and flash recovery because htc magic are legacy(old, outdated) devices so file are removed from most of the sites.
BTW have you ever flashed the recovery???
I had searched for your recovery but all links are expired. View attachment 1161540 See if this recovery works for you. I had downloaded it long back and currently I don't have any previous version of carz mod , neither I remember its source link . It is the same clockwork mod-carz-recovery only version is different v4.0.1.4 see if it flashes through fastboot :fingers-crossed:.

That's not working because your command is wrong, you forgot one "recovery". He's telling you that there is no partition named "recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.8-bravo.img" because the correct name is "recovery". The correct command would be
Code:
fastboot flash [COLOR="Red"]recovery[/COLOR] recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.8-bravo.img
But i think you'll also get "FAILED (remote: not allow)".
I think you need to tell us what's written in your fastboot screen on the phone. Also a
Code:
fastboot getvar version-main
would be helpful.

I get "Incorrect CID" as error even after me making an exact gold card asper the tutorial @ http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Howto:_Create_a_Goldcard
Help me ASAP
You get this error "FAILED (remote: not allow)" because of your SPL-version - it seems to be a perfect one, you can't flash your phone with commandline.
Show us what's written in your fastboot-menu (everything, radio, hboot and so on, everything you can see).
Also give us the output of
Code:
fastboot getvar cid
please.
When did you get this error "Incorrect CID"?
Do you have some other Android-phone? Then create your Goldcard with GoldCardTool (for example as explained here).
Which sappimg.zip did you try? Don't just take one without knowing if you can take it!

As i said, because of the SPL-version you can't flash with commandline. You have to use sappimg.zip or nbh. To flash those, the rom needs to have a higher version than the installed one.
Your main-version is 3.05.720.3, as you see here a higher version would be "3.05.861.2 Hutchinson Australia". To flash this you need the Goldcard - it lets you install roms of different providers.
Download that rom, copy it to your SD-card (Goldcard) and rename it to SAPPIMG.zip and try to flash it. If it still tells you "CID incorrect" your Goldcard isn't created correct or the SD-card doesn't work as Goldcard.
If you finished this we're going on. Just short:
When you're done your phone should boot the normal way. Now you need to get the correct rom for your CID on it - 39) 3.05.720.3 1.76.0009H 6.35.08.29 N HTC__038 is for your phone, it's that one 3.05.720.3 India.
You can't flash this as sappimg.zip because the version of this rom is lower than the installed one. You need to install a custom-recovery on your phone to be able to install any rom-version - to install this you need to root your phone (there are some tutorials on XDA). With the custom-recovery you're going to install the stock-rom and you're done. If you like to you can also install custom-roms on your phone - you just need to install a custom-recovery again to install that.
I'm not an expert - i just know what i read and experienced when i debricked my HTC magic. If somebody thinks i'm wrong with my suggestions, just tell!

Unlocked boot loader and slower phone?

Not too long ago I had unlocked my bootloader and experimented with my phone with roms then decided to unroot it by putting back the original rom assuming it was back to stock my phone asked to update its and I did... My question is does having my bootloader unlocked make my phone slower? How can I relock it back to original? How can I be sure I am really back to normal stock rom without any fes missing or being messed up?

Unfortunately once you unlock the bootloader there is no re locking it. For going back to stock use this thread for the XT1575 and this one for the XT1572 . There are instructions how to flash in those threads as well. You can get rid of the annoying boot on the XT1575 warning logo with this thread.
running "fastboot oem lock" should relock the bootloader.
The only way to be sure you are on complete stock is to use RSD to flash the stock MM or LP firmware.

Make sure you are completely back to stock before attempting to relock the bootloader. I read with some other devices it will brick it if you relock with a modified system. Better to be safe than sorry. That's good RSD works with this phone, I wasn't sure.

Look for the sticky thread in the general forum. There should be something in there with stock firmware and instructions for flashing via rsd lite.
After you are back to stock, boot the phone to the bootloader (hold power, vol -) when it is off, then open your adb instance and type:
Code:
fastboot oem lock

I just flashed back to stock 5.1 and I was unable to relock the bootloader. It said I need to install fully signed software or something like that. I did read on here that you can not relock it and so far I find that true. I think what slows down the phone is rooting it. After I rooted it took longer for my wifi to connect than being stock. I'm upgrading to 6.0 now via OTA.
EDIT: 6.0 stock slowed down my WIFI connecting so it wasn't rooting that caused it.

Yes if you are unrooted and have the stock recovery installed. The bootloader can be unlocked but the rest of the system needs to be stock and unmodified.

I did lock the bootloader back up but the warning message remains and can be removed but code 3 stays permanently because it's a blown efuse from unlocking. The error message I got was because I was doing it wrong. I followed the directions in this thread and it went well. Thanks for the info on code 3, it was useful. Oh and don't use RSD to flash the firmware, it will fail and make your phone boot to the bootloader screen first. Thankfully I figured out how to fix it.
thanks for that reply on how to flash in RSD w/o fail. Was having that issue with another recent moto

TWRP on Nougat

I saw where someone said you could flash B20 bootloader and flash TWRP on Nougat, is this true? Is anyone working on a guide for Nougat TWRP and root. On another note I thought that I read that ZTE would be bringing Wifi calling for Nougat with carries such as T-Mobile? I was unable.to find it under options and assume that it is not possible, anyone have any idea about this.
Thanks

I got TWRP 3.0.4 installed (as well as 3.0.3-1)... It installed sucessfully via Fastboot for me, I even flashed SU, but I couldn't get my phone to boot into the OS (tried with and without SU).......It just hung at the boot pre-boot screen (where it warns you the bootloader is unlocked). I'd restart it, and it always hangs at that screen..... Only way to fix it was to boot back into TWRP, revert back to B29 (using DrakenFX guide) and then update to Nougat again. I spent about 16 hours straight working on this on Tuesday, before I gave up and decided to keep it stock until a custom ROM comes out, soon (Z.A.D. v.4), hopefully?
I have an issue where I installed B15 but whenever I boot my phone, it hangs on the Linux Tux logo. Any fix?

You probably pushed the power button to "Start"? Try letting it sit there about 10-15 seconds, if it won't boot...This is the exact same problem I had. I had to go back to B29, then do the update again. There is now a B15 "return to stock" walk-through, that may be the quicker route.....But I know returning to B29, turning on OEM Unlock in Dev options and then taking the update via your SD card was what I did (3 times in one day).

If my bootloader is already unlocked, can I skip that part (the 2nd link)?? Or is it necessary?

Those steps are meant to unlock the bootloader.
You don't need any of it. You already have TWRP (skip step 1) and bootloader unlocked (skip step 2) so yeah...
What do you want exactly?

My bootloader is unlocked (back when ZTE actually provided the unlocking)....adb fastboot works on my phone as well and I've flashed TWRP (3.0.4 and 3.0.3-1) and it's booted into TWRP, but I cannot boot into the actual OS...My phone goes all black and just hangs there, I think this may be booting directly into EDL mode and not the OS? I can plug my phone into the computer and my computer makes noises as if a USB device has been attached, but my screen is completely black. If I push the start button while the phone is booting (to bypass the bootloader is unlocked warning screen), I boot to a small penguin screen.
The only thing I can do from there is revert back to stock B29, then update back to stock B15.
I want to be able to install TWRP, root my phone, on Nougat, and be able to use my phone too?

and flash this:

I think I know what happened to you... did you by any chance allow system modifications in TWRP? That makes the OS bootloop if you have Nougat.

The MiFlash program found my phone, but failed every time I ran it.. So, I just bit the bullet and downloaded the latest TWRP 3.0.4-1 and flashed that.....And it worked! I then flashed SU, my fonts and changed my Emoji's....I'm about there with customization, and it's all booting up just fine!
But, yes the first few times I did allow system modifications......But I also did this last time too and it's working fine?

No recovery, bootloader relocked

Hello, i have a serious problem with my U Ultra.... Last night I unlocked the bootloader, I installed TWRP(lastest version from official site), before all this I made backup (with TWRP) of every partition and then I make back-up of system, data, boot I think, I have everything on my laptop.
But I wanted to back on stock (Don't ask me why...) and i restored a back-up, a full back-up of every partitions. Everything great, but google play didn't had Device Certification: Uncertified like in this pic and I tried to do this method and it didn't worked and I don't know why I thought that if I will relock the bootloader, everything will be okay :| and now I don't have TWRP anymore and of course neither stock recovery, but the stock rom boots but the password I have made it, is not working.
Tried to unlock bootloader but this error shows up
Code:
diesel-X550CL Downloads # fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
target reported max download size of 1578400000 bytes
sending 'unlocktoken' (0 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.006s]
writing 'unlocktoken'...
(bootloader) flash unlocktoken
(bootloader) [KillSwitch] : /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/frp
(bootloader) [KillSwitch] Last Byte is 0X00, disable unlock
(bootloader) [KillSwitch] oem unlock Turn Off!
Now how can I solve this problem?
How did you did the bootloader relocking?
For what purpose you need the Google Play certification?

Through fastboot with this command:
Code:
fastboot oem lock
I don't need it for a special purpose but some apps don't work and I saw that was the solution, anyways I don't need that no more, I just want the phone to work....
Just go to fastboot mode perform oem unlock and reinstall the twrp

You don't need to use the HTC file. Your phone is permanently hardware unlocked since the first flash.
All you now need to do is simple
Code:
fastboot oem unlock

Then what I can only advise is getting RUU of your system's current or newer version and force to reflash everything including bootloader.

Tried to flash RUU but is not working too, i'm trying with htc sync right now
I have the same issue after relocking my phone. Before I decided to lock my phone to downgrade to nougat, I did flash twrp and a rooted stocked oreo rom. After locking my phone using fastboot my phone stuck into download mode bootloop, I was able to get into download mode properly but I couldn't afford to download ruu from easy-firmware to flash in ruu mode

I couldn't solve the problem myself, so I went to a gsm service and they couldn't solve it, 1 month of trying and one day my dad told me to go to the warranty service and I didn't, he went there and I don't know how they accepted the phone with the another reason and in a hour they solved the problem. I'm still using the phone and I can't wait to get rid of it.
So... I don't know how to help you, you should go to a gsm service, regards!

extract ROM ,extract file attack ,put all to the same folder, (hold power + volume down to get into bootloader mode) and run file: retail_AS_800.bat ( no need to run commands)
Done.
Hey, thanks for the tool, just few questions, will this relock my device bootloader ? and am i taking the risk to hard brick it ? Do i need to have adb and fastboot installed ?
thanks for this tool and for your time

No relock anything. No risk to hard brick. If you flash down to 711 and then OTA update,it will. No need adb and fastboot install. Install usb and motorola driver
thanks for the quick answer. no relock, so if something go wrong i would still be able to flash some custom and rsolve the issue , right ?
