If it's there and you have it activated and still don't get Volte, then it's time for a factory reset. It happened to me and reset helped it

Hey Guys
i found the solution to enable VoLTE on your rooted devices
1. You have Root
2. You need a Root explorer
3. Go in /system/build.prob
4. Go and search this: (Note: Default values are all-->0
change all to--> 1
#ifdef VENDOR_EDIT
persist.dbg.ims_volte_enable=1
persist.dbg.volte_avail_ovr=1
persist.dbg.vt_avail_ovr=1
persist.data.iwlan.enable=true
persist.dbg.wfc_avail_ovr=1
#endif
5. Save it and reboot
6.After reboot enable it in Settings --SIM & network
7. A Big Note: Your Carrier provider must support it......if not.......you have enabled it and nothing happens
------>You can test it if it works,by doing a call....when 4G still shows by your call,then your provider supports it
If 4G disappears.....hmmmm then not
cheers
try it out
Would be great if you could find something how to enable VoWifi for UK EE network. Or let me know where to search. VoLte works fine but Wifi calling not showing up.

EE does support WifiCalling but Oneplus need to bake it in to rom. Only VoLTE works.
Thanks a lot mate. Worked for me.
Should this just work if the carrier provider supports it or does the carrier need to support this specific phone as well?
I think I'm on the same carrier as danmaman (Vodafone in Germany). They support VoLTE in general but primarily for Samsung phones. OnePlus devices are not on their list. If I remember correctly it's the same with Wifi Calling.
I tried to activate VoLTE this way but it didn't work for me although it's available in my contract. Wifi Calling doesn't work either.

Make sure you are on the lastst 4.5.1 and VoLTE support sim on slot 1
Sent from my OnePlus 3T using XDA Labs
That doesn't mean anything. In Czech Republic O2 currently supports VoLTE only for some Samsungs and iPhones.

I have switch my sim VOLTE compatible in port 1
But the problem is always the same
Hi @kb_79,
I have french provider Bouygues telecom too I will check this when I will receive my OP5 this monday.
I also have an SFR SIM card (of my box) so I will try it and report also :good:
I currently have LG G4 and having difficulties to enable VoLTE on it (althought I tried several tricks via build.prop, without any success), so I think it's more due to Bouygues, but not sure so. Seems like VoLTE only likes Samsung and Apple in our territory for now..
Cheers'

Same in Vodafone PT.
Fault is on Vodafone side, not on OnePlus
VoLTE does not work by default. Special configurations are needed for each provider. If the VoLTE works for some provider, then it does not guarantee it for other providers.
Please could someone with device, copy+zip+upload files from their Op5. This would help determine which providers have VoLTE configurations available.
Use some advanced file manager, to find files with extension .mbn
These are usually in
either /system/etc/customization/modem/
or /system/etc/firmware/
or /system/rfs/apq/gnss/readonly/firmware/image/modem_pr/mcfg/configs/mcfg_sw/generic/sea/
Ok, i have managed to get files from phone that was on display in shop with help from finnish friend.
Following special configurations are available, pointing to some providers having VoLTE.
mcfg_sw/generic/apac/reliance/commerci/mcfg_sw.mbn
mcfg_sw/generic/china/cmcc/commerci/volte_op/mcfg_sw.mbn
mcfg_sw/generic/china/ct/commerci/openmkt/mcfg_sw.mbn

My phone is MHA-AL00C00 and I want to use VoLTE in Rogers network. But the menu of volte is missing and I heard some body using C636 and enabling Volte in US T-Mobile networking. So I re-brand my phone to C636B191. But still there is no VOLTE menu available. Then I used QuickShortcutMaker to enable WIFI calling setting anyway. Then I upgraded to Andorid O(MHA-L29 8.0.0.0.360(C636)) and I found Volte menu is available and it is enabled. But the real phone call is still back to 3G and there is no VOLTE icon in status bar. So I used another SIM card with VoLTE enabled in Iphone 6+ and I found there IS VOLTE ICON in status bar. Please see the attached screenshot and I placed a call and it didn't switch to 3G so it is real VOLTE call. But unfortunately this icon is gone after a while. I guess the Mate 9 phone is not VOLTE certified device in Rogers network.

Did you call to Rogers? How they did comment this?
From Rogers forum somebody mentioned to contact level 2 support to add your IMEI to Rogers database then you should be good to use volte.

Afaik, to get working VoLTE phone must support this and mobile operator too. And they will turn support by request if they can do it.
Just chat with Rogers and this function is not enabled on my account. After enabled you have to update your emergency address and submit to Rogers. I have done this on a Rogers iPhone 6. Now I have volte icon always.

Yes. no fall back to 3G when calling. But it only lasts 2 hours and this VoLTE is gone again. Re-chat with Rogers agent and they said it is not working on non-Rogers phone even you are lucky to get working for a while.
Sad!
Update:
This morning I just found the VoLTE icon is shown on status bar. After place a call the call log shows it is a VoLTE call (It also indicates it is VoLTE call during the call)
It looks like Rogers remove VoLTE restrictions on non-Rogers phone.
If the IMEI on your account is VoLTE capable, then VolTE will work for non branded devices, as long as the imei doesn't change.
After upgrading to 8.1 via OTA i wasnt able to make or receive phone calls. Anyone calling me went straight to voicemail and my calls stated "Server Error" then dropped. I was told to turn this option off and it worked.. Working fine on the Verizon network before the upgrade.
Anyone had/have this problem?

Not seeing the issue.
Preferred network type is set to LTE/CDMA
Enhanced 4G LTE mode is on
No issues
For me it was the reverse it actually allows me to do voice over lte now. My essential is the Sprint variant, i have it unlocked on simple mobile, and it would not allow voice over lte on naugat or ob3. So yes ob8.1 is awesome for tmobile users on the Sprint variant.
