Make a Galaxy A7 2016 usable in France - Galaxy A3, A5, A7, A8, A9 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

Hi everyone,
Some friend of mine recently gave to me a Samsung Galaxy A7 2016 (SM-A710FD) which he bought in Singapore back in the time he worked there. Now he's back in France, I wanted to make it usable in France but the French CSC (XEF) I need is not contained in the ROM installed on this phone (of course).
Since this model has never been sold in France (and not even in Europe actually, bar two or three countries), is it possible to get this CSC? Is there a ROM here that I can install which would make the trick?
Thanks in advance for you answers

[Q] Firmware country code change

Hi All,
I bought S5 in UAE, but the firmware shows Hongkong code.
When I checked S5 today at another shop while I did the hands on, I found that after the Android status, I saw United Arab Emirates section under that I saw two status mentioned starts with TR I guess.
So here, my mobile is in use at UAE the firmware of hongkong..my doubt is will I get firmware updates from my service provider regularly?
Is this a really an issue?
What do I need to do?
Thanks

Samsung Galaxy A700YD Firmware Question

Hi
I have a SM-A700YD which I gather is intended for the mainland China market and as such has no upgrade path to Lollipop or Marshmallow. Currently has factory 4.4.4 on it.
Can anyone tell me if there is a problem installing a ROM from another market onto this phone
Ie: install an Austrian A700FX or Singapore A700FD onto a A700YD. Is there any hardware issues that will prevent this working?
Presumably Austria or Singapore will have an English language choice at boot up...
Any help appreciated. It was a Xmas present to I cannot brick it
cheers

Question for Indonesian/Singaporean Owners

I have a SM-G935FD I bought in Singapore in April. My phone is stock and unrooted. I live in Indonesia. I'm thinking of flashing the latest Indo ROM, as maybe it has better compatibility with Telkomsel, Product code XID
PDA G935FXXU1BPH6, CSC G935FOLE1BPH2. Anyone have anything bad to say about this ROM?
I also bought a Gear VR in Singapore. Will i have any problems with this, or anything else, if I change from my Singaporean CSC?
Thanks for any insight.

Samsung Galaxy A5 SM-A520F/DS questions

HI i just bought galaxy a5 2017 duos model.
I expected it to have samsungpay, but it is not preinstalled and i can't seem to download it.
it has nfc chip so i am guessing it should support it.
perhaps it's because of the firmware's country stetting.
I found out that it has pakistan firmware installed.
does anyone have a5 2017 dual sim verion which has samsung pay enabled?
if so, would i be able to get samsung pay to work by flashing different country's firmware?
i checked smamobile and there was austrlaian version firmware available, which is perfect as i am in australia and bought the phone form grey import supplier.
does anyone know it is safe to flash SM-A520F firmware onto A520F ds version? i couldnt find ds spesific firmware on sammobile.
Thank you in advance
Hi neighbours, Indonesian here.
I'm using A5 2017 DS version as well and no Samsung pay installed also.
I guess it's only installed based on region which have Samsung pay services running on those selected country
Yeah it works fine flashing the Australian rom. I'm with Telstra so went with that one and Samsung pay is enabled. You also get VoLTE with Telstra.
My phone had the UAE firmware on it originally. Dual SIM function is still there too, not that I use that though.

SM-G935F: Flashing different region ROM

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: SM-G935F
Hello everyone,
So the reason I'm asking for guidance and not straight up trying what I found is because this is my only phone and I cannot risk or afford fixing it if things hit the fan like i'd do with a spare or an old phone.
In addition the region code attached to it, the code is carried by different carriers and countries in the Gulf Area, some of which received Android 8 and some haven't. However since my phone wasn't purchased from STA, saudi telecom, I don't believe it received the updates distributed to the country,. So currently my phone was bought from a distributor in Saudi Arabia, which usually carries codes from different gulf countries. That region apparently hasn't received updates since earlier this year.
I'd appreciate just simple guidance for this process to get it right.
However I do LIVE in the UK and I would like to flash my phone to a UK region, I'm unsure which code to use and what files I would need to place in Odin.
Phone info:
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: SM-G935F, Unlocked (They usually require you to use a local sim card for a 5 minute call after which it's fully unlocked)
CSC: G935F0JV1DQIL
AP: G935FXXU1DQJ8
CP:G935FXXU1DQIL
Would it be possible to flash to UK BTU as they receive more frequent updates?
I don't know if this has any bearing but I'm using a Three sim card at the moment.. However I have used around 8 different sim cards/companies in this phone since i purchased it.
I would appreciate any advice on what files to place into Odin if I want to keep my data. (Or if I have to completely wipe it?) or shall I switch to another up-to-date OJV country like Emirates (UAE)?
Also i'm not sure what home_csc file is.
hope to hear from you guys soon.

good day
I purchased my device SM G935FD from Oman with CSC XSG (part of multiple CSC OJV middle east and some African countries). Even though I received OTA, I always install the full firmware upon officially released.
I upgraded my device from Android 7.0 to 8.0 using UK BTU firmware, the availability of which came first.
In short I downloaded the firmware from Updato (Sam Mobile slow and lagging) for the BTU firmware. Just to be sure you have to download the correct and appropriate firmware and also the latest Odin (Odin3v3.13.1) which was upgraded by Samsung to be utilized for Android 8.0 and higher versions.

Also, be sure to activate your Developers options and enable USB debugging and unlock OEM. Using Home_CSC will retain your user data while using CSC only will factory reset your device and start anew.

About Knox tripping?
Hello, I'm expecting to do something like this to my phone, but I'm wondering, will it trip Knox? Because you're changing the ROM, so I don't know
