Wi-Fi & Battery Issues after updating to the March 2018 Update - Samsung Galaxy J5 Questions & Answers

Hi, I need some help here. After I have updated my Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime (SM-G570Y) to the March 2018 (G570YDXU2BRC1) update, I have some issues with my Wi-Fi & Battery. Firstly, about my Wi-Fi. It randomly shows a (!) mark whenever I am watching YouTube, downloading/updating apps from Play Store, etc. I will have to switch off & on the Wi-Fi, then the (!) mark will go off. Secondly, about my battery. Whenever I restart my phone, the battery percentage will go haywire, and goes down till around 30%. Are there any solutions to fix these problems?
Thank you in advance.
P.S.: I have recently updated my device to G570YDXS2BRG1 (July 2018) update, and the issues are still present.

[Q] SM-G900F makes Sony TV reboot

Hi there,
I have kind of a weird issue. I recently (3 weeks ago) I bought a Sony bravia KDL50W805BBAE2. All was fine with this TV until I received my SGS5 yesterday. After I started the phone and update all the Samsung software I started to notice my TV began to reboot suddenly. This occurs randomly, sometimes every 10 minutes, sometimes not for hours.
The reason I believe the SGS5 is causing this is because when I turn off WiFi on the SGS5 this behavior stops.
I have tried uninstalling the updates of AllshareCast Dongle S/W and turning off auto update. This seemed to have solve the issue, however it reoccurred after several hours.
I'm totally lost for now, I don't know what else I can do to break down this problem and find out what is causing this on the SGS5.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers Ronald

[Q] My phone just freaked out!

Today my GS5 started freaking out. I cannot install or update any apps from the Google Play store - they all get stuck at a certain percentage of the way through the download. Each app has a different sticking point (22%, 39%, 75%, etc.), but each app sticks at precisely the same percentage every time. At the same time, my wifi has gone completely bonkers. If I turn on wifi, it will connect to my home network like normal, then drop off without warning, then get back on, then drop back off, etc. every few seconds. If I go into the wifi settings and observe while this happens, I see the message that the phone will connect when the signal is stronger...but if I look at the details, my wifi signal shows as Excellent strength and 100+Mbps speed! The phone is warmer than usual (though not hot) and battery is draining faster than usual, but that's probably to be expected given what else is going on. The wifi network itself isn't having any noticeable issues with any of my other devices or laptops.
Both of these things began happening at the same time, but I'm not sure what triggered it. Everything was working correctly this morning, but sometime this evening everything blew up. I uninstalled all apps that have been installed in the past few days anyway, but the behavior persists. I am not rooted, and I have not yet upgraded to Lollipop. I have rebooted and cleaned the app cache several times, and there is at least 3GB of free space on the internal partition (and far more on the SD card).
I don't even know how to trouble shoot this! I would be most grateful if someone could give me some guidance on how to resolve this. Thanks!
Just a few questions. What OS build is your S5 running? Is it rooted? If it is rooted are you running any Xposed modules or have any apps that might have caused this?

I'm running 4.4.4 (see screenshot), not rooted. I have not (to my knowledge) touched any Xposed modules. Any apps that might have caused the problem have been uninstalled (unless I accidentally missed something).
Just FYI for anyone else who might be having these issues...I think we have some answers. After some testing and other suggestions, it looks like I have the 5.0 firmware but am still on 4.4.4, and that discrepancy appears to be causing the freakout. I assume Verizon pushed the new firmware during a reboot over the past couple days because I certainly didn't do it intentionally (and I have no plans to upgrade to 5.0 Lollipop anytime soon, either). However, by unselecting the Smart Network Switch functionality, it appears the wifi is behaving itself again and all is back to normal. Thanks, Big Red.

Yogabook YB1-X90F reboot randomly after upgrade to Android 7.1.1

Hello all
I have Lenovo Yogabook, the device keep rebooting randomly after i upgraded OS to Android 7.1.1
Device not rooted, the upgrade pushed by lenovo,
It used to work just fine on android 6.0 i got notification for software update, i updated the device, after that it start rebooting randomly, sometimes every day once, sometimes twice a day, no errors message.
Reset the device to factory not an option, do you guys have any idea about this issue, is there somebody having same issue? If there any solution?
I called tech support and they said the software not supported, only for first 90 days after that i have to pay $39 for the software support, and this is bogus.
I'll never buy a Lenovo devices again.
Device info.
Model number: YB1-X90F
OS: Android 7.1.1
Security patch level: June 1st 2017
Build number: LenovoYB1-X90F_S100043_170902
Software version: YB1-X90F_170902
I have this issue after the most recent updates, although that's the only bug I've experienced with it. It only seems to happen when it's not being used for me, but I'll go to use it and it's waiting for the pin to boot up which is quite frustrating. I'd say it happens at least once every 48 hours.
Reboot randomly + keyboard issue
I have the same problem and it happens only if it is in sleep mode. When you open the device i can not use the Helo keyboard. After restart the unit works perfect until you let it go in sleep mode for a longer time.
My unit was just a few days old, Support told me to send it back and if there is no damage they send a new device.
hopefully this will solve the problem despite I am convinced that this is a software problem

issues since update to 8.0

Since updating to 8.0, my shield pro (2015) keeps freezing for a while (15 seconds to a few minutes) and the controller turns off after about 30 seconds of inactivity (vice before when it would stay on for a few minutes before turning off).
Has anybody else witnessed this behavior?
Cheers,
B. D.
The wifi on mine will magically turn itself off and won't restart till I restart the device..

I use Ethernet so sorry cant say if mine does that, however I have been having an issue since update that Netflix will not exit when i click exit from within the app im not sure if this is a Netflix or a shield thing but it started after the new update has anyone else had this issue or other issues?
My sheild could not pass through the connect to wifi stage. I tried several ways even using google nothing seem to work. It displays "cannot reach internet" it has been stuck on the setup since the update. I'm so tired dont know what else to do.
On my 2015 16Gb, after I put the device on sleep, I can not turn it on. I have to unplug it or sometimes only to manually touch the device.
Does anyone experience the same problem?
Lasted a couple of days on 8 before downgrading back to Oreo. Very unstable, and the killer for me, no root.
Wifi & bluetooth problems here too. Worked for about 1 minute and disconnect. What can I do? Reset the shield, recover the shield with 8.0, reboot router. No idea what I can do
