Lg h870s is stuck on july scurity update and v10f software version. Is it normal? And when it will get oreo?
It's not normal since all unlocked tops are at least with September patch, and Oreo is expected in these months, so, who knows, only LG does...
H870 users stuck on V10T with july patches. As rumored, Oreo 8.0 could arrive between november and december.
Devices from other brands, even older, have already received october patches but, apparently, LG does so well! Very disappointed: /
The same for h870. v10t and july patch. The only thing i hate on lg is the update ..
If you do a bit of searching there is an 11b firmware update kdz for Mexico that is at the October security patch level. Works fine on the EU H870 and fixes the Blueborne vulnerability.
The krack vulnerability is still there so hopefully some other country gets the November patches soon

I recently bought an unlocked lg g6 H870 eu version.I tried to update but it says that i am on the latest firmware although it says i have the july security patch.

Don’t know. I am on v10r-234-30 EE UK July security patch! Which was done over air last month and nothing since.

For LG G6 H870 you sure ? European variant and you was on 10t before can you take screenshot in about phone ?
10u is the last update i saw. i had some issues with my H870 and i flashed stock 10T with uppercut. When i connected it to LGUP, it showed another updated(10u) ready for download. I didn't had the patience to wait for it, as the server was really slow,but still...lg keeps delivering updates until oreo arrives.

Bro im on 10t from so much time i have h870 to and i try with lg bridge but show me im on latest update... You sure you have h870 ? You can have h870ds
It can't be because my h870 for europe is on july security patch and i tried with lg bridge and nothing.I think we have to wait untill 8.0 comes to us or idk.

I have 10u. This is on my lg g6 (H870) bought from orange. In FW info show v10u-ORG-MCV. 10u has security patch from 1.august. Nothing new when connect to lg bridge.
I got v11d OTA but I'm holding off on installing until I hear more feedback from people.

Flash it, you won't regret. Standby battery drain and camera are way better than on 10t.
Can you be more specific about the camera?
Have they fixed oversharpening?

I used to have some kind of watercolor effect which is now gone, I don't know if that's what you mean. Plus, the front camera has improved A LOT.
OK I took the plunge and updated to v11d Oct 21. So far battery life seems excellent and I have not noticed any overheating of the device. Performance also seems fine.
Can't say I've noticed anything obvious about the main front facing camera-- still slightly washed out look with blowing out of highlights like before.
Shutter does seem a little quicker.
Haven't run into any new features (yet).
Just downloaded and installed. The phone got finally ThinQ features and boot screen logo. Security level 1st August.

Seems like the new LG Upgrade Center wants to make a good Job. We're still in August and get now August Security Patch.
My H870DS is now on v20D-twn-xx. If you have a Computer, download the Update over Bridge, because OTA was superslow (millions of Phones in the same Time)

The same here for my TWN H870DS (downloading started more than 8h hours ago), while LG Bridge says my phone is Updated (the inverse happened with the first Oreo update, OTA my phone was updated and had to use LG Bridge).
Guys I updated my phone as well. I can see bright camera mode but don't see AI camera. Is it same for everyone?
PS: OTA was very slow. Only 40% downloaded in about 8-9 hours. LG Bridge took 5-10 mins to download 2.8GB firmware.

Phone seams faster .. i have a 4200 battery .. so it takes 2 days for the battery life to degrade .. have not noticed anything different yet

Same, tried twice...the second time he went into an endless reboot on the logo, on the firmware of 2017( 10m SIA ). Do not download it!!!

Affirmative of the above that the LG Bridge software update "downgrades" the software version from Oreo to Nougat and brings back security patch for October 1st 2017...
It indicates that there are 2 available when you check but upon the completion of the first update, it wipes your phone clean.
Thank god, my G6 is a backup phone... version H870DS users take note. Don't use the LG Bridge to upgrade if your G6 is your primary device!
H870DS TWN Pie
My H870DS TWN updated to Android 9 (V30a) using the LG Bridge and even though it took quite a long time in the LG logo in order to start, it started and is working well.

If you can connect it to LG Bridge, isn't there a link in the right bottom of the "Software Update" menu to "Recover from update error" (not that all names where translated from the Portuguese language of my LG Bridge).

Hi. Anyone able to put the PIE Camera apk on here for the LG G6. I updated it foolishly from the apkmirror site hoping to get the G7 camera and the Standard/Wide angles are reversed and not working properly. I should be able to install over this one like I did with the newer LG Camera Apk.

So now I can confirm that changing a region is also an option
Two days ago I have successfully flashed (using LGUP+UPPERCUT -> UPGRADE option) other region (HKG) on my LG G6+ (H870DSU).
The firmware was H870DSU30a_00_OPEN_HK_DS_OP_0920.kdz and all works right after the flash, but for better performance I did also hard reset.

Nice but not allways is going to work i flashed some time ago android 7 indian version on my hkg and was not working
just to share, a week ago got update on my G6 870 in Bulgaria on A1 (ex mtel) operator.
so I was really pleased with the stability of the phone, got it with Android 6.x, than different stable upgrades, now with 9 is a bit slow. Did wait for a week, and today did master reset to be sure it is not bulk giving the issue, it is not. It is the release. First time disappointed by LG, but still a supporter
