[HELP] making g360h roms will bootable on sm-t113 device - Samsung Galaxy Core Prime Questions & Answers

both devices are same cpu, same gpu but different resolution. flashing g360h roms will result black screen after bootlogo.
sorry my english

There are hardware difference that matters, so it will not be bootable without modifications to the ROM

What modifications we need ? Kernel or system changes ? Because this tablet has zero development now. We have only cm11 rom for core prime g360h port and wifi camera is broken.

I'm not sure about the modifications needed, I'm not a dev

the sm g360h has the same processor, ram and both are ARM, and since it is 3g it is easier to make port for T116, but if it gets a screen it must be a kernel problem

The Problem is kernel
I have tried stock kernel,cm11 kernel,thunderoar kernel
nothing stuck on bootlogo

[Q] Why is there not any AOSP or Cyanogen ROM for S4 i9500?

The AOSP and cyanogen Roms which are available all of them have camera issues and other bugs. Why is it so?
Is it impossible to run AOSP on s4 i9500? If yes, then why so?
Is it because developers are slacking and just dont want to make a AOSP custom rom for s4 i9500 or there is something which limits developer from making AOSP avialable for s4 i9500. maybe samsung hasnt given tools or drivers to developers.
All the custom roms available for s4 i9500 . They all have written at the end of the thread that The rom is based on Stock firmware.
What is a firmware? Isnt it same as kernel?
Yeah I know I am total noob.

Don't panic, I can see ROMs based on AOSP here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/i9500-develop
I have personally never seen a i9500 so I beleive they are just not that common or shipped to countries where there is a lack of devs. How about cooking your own? I've started to develop my own ROM which I'm using right now.
Firmware is a full system
The kernel also partly firmware
The kernel is the core of android
If no kernel will not boot
Note: sorry if i am wrong
I9500 has an exynos chipset which had been looked down by Samsung. This has been the case since the Galaxy S2. AOSP Roms exist for the i9500 but they won't be the most stable things you will try, so you are better off staying with the original software or a rom based on the original software.

Developing your own ROM is cool thing. That's what I will be doing after my next month exams.. I dont actually own a s4 i9500 but my cousin has it. I have xolo a500s. It's pretty looking device. I would like to port 4.4 kitkat AOSP rom on it.. :victory:

Thanks for replying. I think you are right. Firmware = rom + kernel.

Yeah that's it. Samsung doesn't share the full source code of it's exynos chip. half of the sourcecode is closed source. They just don't give the full source code to the developers. That's why developers fail to make custom kernels and roms.
But now I wonder why do samsung do this? Maybe they dont want other phone makers to know their unique performance tweaks which they have put in sourcecode.
Lesson learnt never buy Exynos powered device. Always try to get snapdragon powered device.

[Q] [REQUEST] Mtk6572 custom rom development

Hello.
I am running mtk6572 on my s4 alps gti9500
I would like to know if there are any custom rooms out there such as cm or omni rom

No. MTK is notorious for poor opensource support, and their code is such a mess that even for devices that have had complete OEM source leaks for the entire Android tree (such as a few 6589 devices), it's incredibly time consuming (and brain-damaging) to integrate the support into a modern Android tree.
If you want custom firmwares, especially AOSP-derivative ones, don't buy MTK. You'll be even worse off than Samsung Exynos4/5.

Could we have some Devs working on kernel building for SM-T530

Hi Great Devs,
it comes to my attention and many other users of custom roms on this device, that there is no custom kernels for the SM-T530 and there should be because its limiting the overall customisability with the tablet, i noticed this recently when i try'd to make a swap file using Roehsoft Swap Ram Expander and it didn't work because the stock kernel wasn't supported i think it was something to do with the highly dreaded Knox Security on recent samsung devices and there are many other reasons why we need a custom kernel for this device like properly overclocking the SoC and so on
so could we please have some devs that could port some kernels over for it, it will be highly appreciated by me and other users of this device.

Need help with porting from K30-T/K3 Lemon.

I want to port the K30-T FlymeOS ROM to my Lenovo A6000.
Android version is 6.0.1.
Edit: Got it to work by flashing the ROM right after flashing a ROM made for this device. There is some lag, which might be because Flyme is just hard on the device at first, or just the kernel is pushing the device too much. From what I've seen, it's RAM problems.

[SM-T235] Magisk 17.2 & Safetynet Fail - How to fix that ?

Hello
Like in topic - Can someone fix this ?
Is this even possible ?
I would be happy to at least have root on stock rom - CyanogenMod LineageOS 13 have 2 small bugs ,but sadly devs don't want fix them.
Nope,sorry.
To have magisk installed and still pass safety net you need to enable magiskhide.
That feature requires a kernel version of 3.8 or higher.
Well sm t235 do not have a custom or stock ROM that have a kernel version of 3.8 or higher.
Source:I am a sm t235 user
That's sad that no dev scene for such great device....
I have this same kernel ,but seems that you have outdated rom

IMO stock ROM is too laggy for me.
Mine was outdated because it's a modded version with less bloat(based on stock).
I'm using cm 12 and it's now a lot smoother than Samsung stock rom.
I've freezed all bload apps on stock
can i get help to root my device? id like to install android 6.0 to my sm-t235
