I'm loving this ridiculous battery and SOC, I am an actual light user anyway but the time since last full charge is just shy of 9 days and I've got over 4 days left. Awesome stuff.

Dito that! After I received my phone, I did a full charge and tested SOT for my kind of light usage. Stopped the test after 12:21h SOT (25h after charging) with 19% battery left.
I'm comming from a Moto G4, which even heavily tweaked to be energy efficient hardly ever got more than 6h+ of SOT.

Light use endurance is fantastic.
Phone can last me 3 straight days on battery.

Posting my initial thoughts under the Light use section since the phone is still pretty new to me, but so far I'm blown away. I'm coming from a Mate 9 which had a 4000 mah battery, and I kinda got spoiled on really good battery life. Initial impressions are that the ZFone might take the endurance crown from the Mate 9. It seems like the Snapdragon 835 is quite a bit more energy efficient the Kirin. I'm normally a very heavy user, but today have been more of a light user.
I'm not one for screen on time measurements, cause everyone's usage patterns are different. For those who care, I can tell you that right now I've got a bit over 2 hours of screen on time and am at 80%, which is really incredible.
I'll post more info in the high endurance section after I've had more time. One side note, it seems that the phone is more efficient on Cell data signal than using Wi-Fi, which isn't something I would have expected. We'll see as time goes on.

Last two days with light use. Maybe more. Had 16% left after two days once time.
I plugged it into the car for Android Auto, for about two 10 minute drives and I'm on 1 day and 18hrs and I have about 13 hrs remaining. Best battery life I've ever experienced from any phone.

at the end of day i could stay with 50%
Comparing to Mi 8, it lasted 5 hours tops, SOT.
With Mi Note 10 I'm getting 8h of SOT with same usage i had in Mi 8.

yeah battery life is great. maybe not proportionally better to a 4000mAh battery phone but still great. Especially love how long it still lasts below 20% capacity. Only thing i noticed is a rather high over night drain, but could also be thanks to my many background apps i use.
After about 16 hour day of regular to heavy use (photos, screen, Fitbit gps tracking for about an hour, etc.) I am usually just under 50%.
Pretty good, IMO.

Battery usage under light use has been fantastic. Charged 22hrs ago and currently at 84% remaining.

That is really great stanby time. Reminds me of times when phones would last weeks on a charge....could be a challenge for the MG8P ^^
I will try to max out this light usage with some settings of my own. I don't blive dark mode will make any difference because MG8P has LCD panel however it's easier on the eyes and it's easier for me to read.
I turned off all animations, install lite version of some apps and see what happens on my next charge

Dark mode will have an effect on battery, it may by minor however. I have it on dark mode and agree, it is easier on the eye.
My current battery stats from noon yesterday. My usage on dark mode and without animations was inconsistent however I will return to it and see how it works

If you have a new device it will improve a bit. I charge my phone 2-3 a week Most i got was about 4 days with 10 SOT ^^

It was at 75% when I got up at 6 this morning (no point stressing a battery this big by fully charging it, I reckon)
Fair bit of use through the day, including maps, internet radio and a 40 minute WhatsApp call
Home 12 hours later and it's on 60%
Pretty great, really!
Outstanding with the big battery, lasts two days no problem.
