Settings>connections>network connections>mobile networks> access point names
And there you will have an option to add access points.
Consult to tmobile for apn settings

WiFi freezes sometimes

Hi
I have some issues with the WiFi.
Sometimes, when I try to use any app that requires Internet connection it doesn't work despite of being connected with 100% signal.
I have the WiFi optimization off and it doesn't solve the problem.
Is a very annoying problem because every time that this happens I must turn off the WiFi.
Is not a problem of my connection because it doesn't happen in my PC and neither in my Nexus 7 FHD.
My router is a Tp-Link Tl-WR1043ND and I tried numerous options but it doesn't fix it.
Somebody with this problem? Thank you so much!

I have a D-Link 855 and had the issue where the Wifi shows connected but no data transfers. I simply updated the router FW and have never had this problem again. Connects on 5Ghz, maintains connection, transfers data reliably.
Regardless of the router type you have, try updating the FW before you do anything else to your phone.

Thanks for your reply!
I'm having the same issue that you've described now.
Sadly I've already the last version of my router firmware. I'm emailing with the TP-Link support team looking for a solution, but we can't find nothing yet.
Do you know the changelog of your router firmware update? If I now maybe I can write to the support team again with a possible solution.
If anyone has this issue please post it and we'll try to find a solution.

Can an APP LIMIT the DOWNLOAD speed of a stream?

I'm not a developer, and if this is in the wrong place or not allowed please move or delete.
I have a need and possibly many others too, to keep my phone from using full LTE speed download. I would like to LIMIT by number the data rate at which my phone operates from time to time. Could an app be developed for this kind of functionality (not sure what is capable at the app level)? Thanks.
Absolutely you are in the wrong place...

Maybe switch it to lower speed from data network in settings? Most would want to boost their speed. ?

Yea I tried that, forcing to only connect to 3G etc. But that doesn't/didn't do the trick. I have a video streaming app that looks at how good your connection is to decide what stream to give you. I do not want it to stream full HD, or even HD on 3G. I want it to be lower res or audio only. So I need to force the connection to be slower.
I saw an app on the play store but it didn't seem to do the trick. So I thought I'd ask in the "wrong forum" if this was even possible. Now that I'm here (in the correct spot) doesnt anyone know of something like this that works? Thanks.
Could you be more specific what you want to do? Maybe there's already an app that can do what you want

Not sure how it could be more clear, but I'll try.
App in the middle that throttles the bandwidth allowed to another app. Ie. allow only 250kbs to appX. On an LTE connection that has much more available.
I found this app but isn't limit a specific app, just limits the bandwidth in general https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oxplot.bradybound

DorianX, you are amazing! This is perfect. I had only found one other that said it would do it...needed root which I have, but never worked/asked for root.
This app installed, asked for root and YouTube downloads at 100kbs now at 144p res. PERFECT!!!!!!
Thank you so much. Appreciate you sticking with it and helping me out. All in what you search for...I had done some looking but must not have had the right words.
You're welcome, I'm just a good searcher [emoji1]

I didn't even see you found the other one I had found....BWR. I couldn't get it to work for me...but certainly said it would do what I wanted. Maybe others will have luck with it. I found the first one to work perfectly!
Thanks again!
