About Omni
The goal of Omni is to experiment with Android development because we enjoy it. Omni isn’t better, just different. It’s another option for the billion Android users out there.*Android (vs. iOS and every other mobile OS) has thrived on options as well as the gigantic, talented development community that has emerged to build those options. That’s the beauty of Android – that you can pick and choose from a smorgasbord of devices with varying features and functionality.
Omni is a chance to get involved, no matter who you are. Developers, whether you’ve been developing apps for a week, or ROM features for 3 years, you’re welcome. Users, we know you want to help out, and now you can – Omni actively encourages bug reports and feature requests, which can be added to our publicly accessible roadmap. What’s the point in giving you a ROM, and forcing you to not tell us about any bugs you find?
We also recognise how people use Custom ROMs – we’re all custom ROM users and developers ourselves – the argument that “nightlies are not for end users” is over-used, and no longer valid. We’ve found that the vast majority of users want to get nightly updates to their ROM. For that reason, nightlies aren’t a playground – nightlies are for new features that are finished. You should be able to expect the same stability and reliability from a nightly as you would from a “release” ROM, and can report any bugs that prevent this from happening.
We know not everyone wants to update their ROM daily, and you are free to update as frequently or infrequently as you like. Omni is about flexibility and giving users what they expect – and we are excited to see where the community goes with it.

did this rom support signature spoofing?
Thaís support NT 36672 display ?
Been using it since morning and everything seems fine so far. It's already becoming my favorite rom.
What about display drivers, are these latest or old ones, asking because old drivers had screen burning issue.
Brightness is too high.. even at half slider.. I hope it's not affecting my screen...
Is it possible to deactivate warning red color on status bar when battery saver mode is activated on this ROM?
Thanks

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first created based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean because of curiosity. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device (EVO 3D). Since then many others have joined the project and it has grown a whole lot. We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours and many of our contributors have gone to help other projects and that is ultimately why we do what we do.
Once Jelly Bean was over, we decided in Kitkat to move to a new base which was OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting because it challenged us to see what we could with something different.
With Lollipop, we have moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. That said it has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward.
Few more things we will say is that we don't accept nor ask for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc.....
We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask is that you search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

Flashing Instructions:
- Verify that you're using the latest version of @sharps TWRP
- Perform a FULL WIPE as described below if coming from another ROM
(A full wipe is when you wipe system/data/cache)
-Flash the latest version of this ROM
- Flash OpenGAPPS
- Reboot and ENJOY!!
**If you fail to follow these instructions, don't bother reporting any bugs**
**If coming from a previous version, wipe system and cache**

Unfortunately yes, I've been thinking about closing this thread
I'm really sorry
I can't fix sound and developer setting craches, this issues because of CAF source
I suggest you to use RR roms by vache it's same as DU
What bad news, DU is very good rom
I hope this is going somewhere.

Pre-Disclaimer:
THIS IS AN UNOFFICIAL BUILD. Please keep any problems with those builds in this thread, we don't accept any bugreports for unofficial builds anywhere else.

Support:
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
Notice:
Before you flash, backup everything important of your device, then flash the ROM in TWRP.
MORE IMPORTANT NOTICE: We are very proud to announce that we are the first and only custom ROM to actually get the Now Listening Feature working on AOSP.

Day 10 and i'm still struggling to find any bugs apart some rare popping sounds. Though i would have loved some basic customization options like extended screen and reading mode. Still, thank you for this awesome rom. This and Crdroid are my favourites

@brunorochaa00 Why do you keep creating new ROMs when you do not, or can not support the ones you have previously released? They all pretty much have the same bugs. Have you been successful with building the official kernel source? Have you tried? I have, unsuccessfully. I usually build kernels fairly easily, but this kernel seems impossible. You post a new ROM then disappear for days to build another one. I would suggest you pick a few and stick with them. Just my 2 cents.
EDIT: I truly do appreciate your efforts, but building ROMs as a hobby just for the sake of building them, without supporting them is not good for any of us. If there are other support channels for some of these ROMs, please let us know.

Who are you to tell me what I should do? worry about your life bro. Prisma is in rebase status on sources, just when I release. Then I'll release later.
About kernel, I've done with a friend today, fully from source, check Pixel Experience thread.

I sincerely apologize. I certainly was not telling you what to do by any means. Just making a suggestion.
Regarding the kernel, Great news! I have not seen the updated PE thread. I will check it after this reply. Curious to know, what was the trick to building the kernel? I tried some kernel patches, but none helped. I keep dying in the build with vdso errors. Grrr!

Thanks. I appreciate everyone's effort for making redmi 4x alive. Recently bounced back to redmi 4 just because i am so addicted to changing roms and trying out new things , new feature, new layout etc etc. I am so glad that each and every developer in redmi 4x community have been working so hard to bring up to date latest feature that too soo unconditionally. Round of applause for you all, every guy who have spended so much time into creating roms for us. Thank you very much. ✌???

Descendant 4.0.0
Works fine including internet connection now :good:
A year has gone by and we have pushed ourselves to the limit to offer our very best product, with bleeding edge technology and never seen before features, as well as offering the userbase a whole different take on Android UI & UX.
We're sad to say that Descendant isn't just capable to keep up with this for the upcoming Android Q release with our current means, so we are calling it a day.
Still, we'd thank you all for the feedback provided up till now, we're very proud of what we have achieved.
Sayonara, Descendants.
