Hello guys,
Im using an ZTE Axon 7 with unkocked bootloader, rooted, and using a custom ROM and twrp. I **** to try the original and latest version of the official ROM to see how well the performance are. Is there a package for this that can be installed using TWRP and after it has been installed, my phone is in the original state again?
I saw an update on the ZTE website from 25/07/2018. (Version B35) Is this Android 8?
https://www.zteusa.com/axon-7
Can I install this package by using TWRP aswell?
Flash a zip package in twrp. But flash an twrp image after the rom. The stock rom overwrites the twrp with stock recovery.
Thanks! So, no matter wich bootstock Im using, I can just install the zip from te ZTE website using TWRP and that's it?
EDIT: on the website, there is only A2017U model. No G or A. Does this matter?

It does matter.
Flash this instead so you keep TWRP.

Thanks.
That is also an option. But I still prefer the latest version from te website as I hope that this is Android 8 and want to really have it at factory stock again.

The B35 (U-version) is 7.1.1
Try this : https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/development/rom-slm-dfnr-t3744388
It's totaly stock or at least derived from the B35 that you want.
Or make your day and try this 8.0.0 : https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/how-to/official-beta-android-8-0-0-v2-10b12-t3797085
Beta, U version based but definitely worth a try
Or go back to factory with the @djkuz EDL Tool. The B35 is in the OP. https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/development/axon-7-edl-tool-flash-backup-restore-t3750759

B35 (from that site) is Nougat, not Oreo.
Oreo was not released officially so you won't find it in the ZTE website.
The current release (B12) is a -buggy- beta and missing some features. It's really not worth it. Battery life is atrocious (probably less than 2hs SoT).
You're better off with B10 (latest for A2017G) or B35 (latest for A2017U).
Those are the latest official firmwares for the phone and both are Nougat 7.1.1. Pay no attention to the numbers, as B10 is identical (update wise) to B35. Flash whatever you like. There's really no other option.
If you prefer the original stock experience with nothing touched or removed/added, you will have to flash a firmware via EDL mode. But that way you lose TWRP unless you replace recovery.img with a compatible TWRP version before flashing with Xiaomi Flash and your device is completely erased.
Forget about Oreo for the moment.

Hello, ive been surfing this forum for a while, it helped me to change the firmware of my NXT-AL10 to the international versión, using Fastboot but the versión i was able to install is very old, (NXT-C900B133), it has a few bugs, but at least i got rid of the chinesee software.
Now im trying to update to the new Emui 4.1 the B320 firmware or the newest available, but i allready tried to updated using the dload method, but didnt work, i tried at least 3 diferent firmware version, the only version that i havent tried is the NXT-AL10 – NXT-AL10C00B350 because i believe that it will install again the chinesee version.
Can anyone point me on how to update my NXT-AL10 to the newest international version available without bricking my phone?
i apreciate!
It's supposed to be as easy as flashing the B321 firmware via twrp, just as you would flash any ROM regardless of which variant of the phone you've got. I'm not sure what you're doing wrong here.

Thanks, the truth is that i have technically zero experience with this, it was actually a miracle how i flashed it, i use this thread to find my way to do this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/howto-load-international-mate-8-t3293619 but i have no idea on how to use twrp.
On the guide that i followed, it was very detailed, it had the download links, and i even had to pay 4 Euro to get my phone bootloader unlocked, but the guide was very explicit.
Now that the booloader is unlocked, and i have a flashed rom, what would be the method, is there a guide like the first one, but with the latest firmware?
Hi guys. I've a Huawei Nova L01 with CAN-L01C02B331 and CUSTC02D002 firmware. I want to try the lineageos build published by grarak on his twitter account but some weeks ago i risked to brick the phone (i was already on nougat). Anyone know a safe and effective guide for that? Thanks to those who will help me

You can talk with Grarak on Twitter and ask him how to solve this issue and if it's possible to go back on marshmallow from emui5
already done so, zero response
Asked huawei for rollback link
Same problem here, so I emailed huawei for a rollback link. I'm on NRD90M so normally should be able to revert to original MM... No response so far...

And how can we go back to mm, is there a tool to do it? I have tried to flash mm but I'm not able because system and cust partition are bigger on stock mm firmwares, so once installed nougat we are not able to go back on mm. Basically they have to release a tool witch will automatically repartition system and cut partitions or release a mm firmware with smaller partitions....Oh sorry they didn't respond, I'm curious about they're response, if they will ever replay to you e-mail.

Well, thats whats the NRD90M build is made for, so you would be able to return to MM Its a build that should give the opportunity to have a rollback... However, what I have learned is that you need a specific updatefile to do this... This updatefile, does not exist (?)

The guide from Controllerboy works perfect ( advice read it more than once ) , the axontoolkit works too.
If you decide to go with custom rom you will loose ZTE Dolby,
but viper works good, but there are debloated stock roms which you can use with Dolby and root.
Unlocking the bootloader is always helpful, if you decide to use custom recovery and root, because if you mess up anything you're mostly lost with a locked bootloader.
Unlocking the bootloader will completely wipe your phone, better you copy your important stuff to PC.
If you just want to update your phone copy the latest official
firmware to the external SD card and use the update function.

This is a bit outdated, you can follow the guide on mm or n, doesn't matter. No need to down or upgrade before.

After you did the unlock, the twrp update and flashed the Los thread bootloader + modem you can use this rom, guess this is what you want:

@am2006 it seem strange that you don't receive OTA update. It is seem that the seller had done something with the phone (properly install A2017G on A2017 chinese model). Before doing anything, you must know you model, cause A2017G brick is pretty hard to fix

I recommend using stock Nougat. Stock ROM has pretty good camera, Dolby, DAC which you will missing when using custom ROM. (Stock MM is bit crappy, ZTE has fix a lot after several update).
Beside, RR is very good custom ROM.
Official Xposed does not support Nougat yet, there is an unofficial one but not work with stock Nougat, I haven't try on RR

There are multiple iterations of Dolby made as a Magisk module. Magisk works perfectly on both LineageOS and Stock rom.
Hi, how do I check my current bootloader version that is on my phone? And how do i know what version of bootloader will be in any stock rom i want to flash?
I don't want to overwrite with older bootloader. Need to know the current and the next one i will flash.
My device is from Europe and I have NPN25.137-92 installed.. I think this is not the latest stock nougat for my region.
Cheers.

No need to push your question everyday. If someone is able/wants to answer he will do.
First of all: NPN25.137-92 is not the European firmware, it's the one for India and Brazil.
The latest one in Europe seems to be NPN25.137-93-14, since yesterday there is another update with version number NPN25.137-93-18 out incl. August security patch but until now only US users (software channel RETUS) have confirmed it. For India/Brazil (your firmware) the latest Nougat firmware is NPN25.137-92-14.
Have you fastboot flashed some firmware on your device so that you are on NPN25.137-92 now? That could be the reason you don´t receive any further OTA updates.
Your bootlader version should be visible when you boot into stock recovery.
Yes, I must have flashed pretty wrong firmware, and now I want to get back on the track. Though I dont remember and I dont have knowledge what was flashed before that. Now I wonder what should be my next step in order to have latest European nougat, or oreo.

Flash latest european firmware NPN25.137-93-14 via fastboot. It can be found somwhere here in the Moto G 5+ threads or you can download it with Lenovo Smart Assistant: https://support.lenovo.com/de/de/downloads/ds101291
That should keep you back on track.
If you can't wait you can update to Oreo with the available OTA found here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5...fficial-moto-g5-g5-plus-t3848246/post77856408 ( Read OP of that thread to find out how). But as I posted above there's a newer nougat firmware out in the US so you may not receive future Oreo updates if you use this OTA.

Need an advice: I'm currently on POTTER_NPNS25.137-93-10, OTA says i can update it to POTTER_NPNS25.137-93-14.. Then I could get Oreo OTA from the thread above. In case of any further trouble: will it be safe to return to nougat POTTER_NPNS25.137-93-10 via fastboot? If yes, if then I update again to POTTER_NPNS25.137-93-14, it is safe to take nougat OTA again? And then oreo OTA again? Hope you get my point.

No, that's not safe. Downgrading is always a risky thing because of the bootloader and taking OTA after that could completely hardbrick your phone.
So if you're once on 93-14 you shouldn't flash an older firmware than this. Same applies to downgrading from Oreo to Nougat.

Well, in case of firmware, I cannot find direct 93-14 fastboot rom for download. I have found 93-10 only, that's why I'm concerned about not having the most up to date rom version on my hard drive to flash in case of<>.

Thank you. What in case I'm unlocked and in order to use google pay I need custom recovery and flashing magisk. How do i get back to stock oreo recovery then? I know it's a bit of offtopic, but maybe you can help me.
I've just been given this phone. It's my first zte phone.Im a little familiar with unlocking and rooting as I came from The Honor 8 years ago. However everything about this phone is quite new to me. Would like some help with the different processes in order to maximize this phone's potential. I've looked here and there to learn more but most resources I've found were quite outdated. Furthermore I have some thermal issues with the phone im hoping to correct. So where and how do i start?
I would recommend to downgrade to Nougat first (if you are using stock ROM, there is a downgrade package by ZTE), then once in Nougat, use Axon 7 EDL tool:
