Hello,
I am currently running Nuclear Rom 7.1.2 on my zuk z1 with TWRP recovery. What if I do factory reset of my phone, will the phone stays the same with rom, gapps and super su and all the data will be wiped
OR
it will remove the root and get the phone back into its proper shape
OR
will it brick my device
I am asking if I do factory reset from Settings -Back up and reset - Factory reset
I am selling my phone in the market so want to confirm that what would be the scenario if I wipe my data like that

Click to collapse
Better to flash it again and wipe all data

Hello guys, I have flashed trwp and the zip file for using a SD card as internal storage to my sister's A510. She needs to perform a factory reset on the phone and I'm currently away in a trip. Can she go through the Android menu how she would do normally with the stock recovery, or twrp doesn't support this kind of reset?
Don't want to go through the hassle of teaching her how to do a wipe data after booting on twrp, so if someone nows the answer to this question it would really be a great help.
Cheers. Thanks in advance.

You did factory reset from settings? Or from inside twrp?
If from settings, there is some bug as listed on the twrp download page.
Solution is.
from adb
Code:
adb shell /sbin/para.sh
or twrp built-in terminal
Code:
/sbin/para.sh
if you have the twrp with this bug this should solve it.
Did this work for you?
Hi all.
I'm here to ask you how should i do to hard reset my Mi A1 (actually rooted with magisk) without lose root.
It's a really simple question, but i can't find a simple and definitive answer!
Thank you in advance, and Sorry if i made a question that have been already made.
Bye,
Carmine
In theory, root will stay intact (Magisk is already in boot.img which doesn't get altered during Factory reset) - you will just have to reinstall Magisk manager app.
In reality, I would un-root, perform factory reset and re-root afterwards. Magisk stores some of its data on /data partition, which gets formatted during factory reset. It might cause some unexpected issues.
Your call..
Hi,
I have TMobile version rebranded to international version.
Right now, I'm on 9.0.13, root, TWRP.
I want to factory reset everything to try xXx on clean install.
Do I just do factory reset via settings or through TWRP?
Can someone tell me the steps before I start experimenting and possibly brick the phone?
Thanks.
