(x722) Does it support external usb camera? - LeEco Le Pro3 Questions & Answers

Hi,
I am thinking of buying an external inspection camera ( eg.
h**p://s.aliexpress.com/nYJVvQFj).
Has anyone bought or tested anything similar?
I tried a regular usb camera but it just blinked and did not work ( a power issue?)
Does the x722 support external USB camera through otg or just flash drives?
Thanks

[Q] Can't get USB OTG working on my i9500

Hi all,
I bought a USB OTG cable, but I can't seem to get anything to work?
I used this http://im.tech2.in.com/gallery/2012/jun/difference_circuit_271738111300_640x360.jpg as a reference and checked the pins on the cable. They all seem fine.
I've tried a Kingston DataTraveler G3 flashdrive, WD 1TB External HDD and a Dell optical mouse - nada??
Is there anything on my phone that I need to configure to get this to work? (I'm on stock) What am I missing?
Thanks,
D

OTG webcam?

Hi,
I've brought a endoscope from ebay which just plugs into the micro-usb port on the phone. For some reason the LED lights come on, on the camera but the camera itself isn't found by any usb webcam apps. I tried with my girlfriends moto G and still nothing. Thinking maybe the camera is faulty I used the supplied micro-usb to USB adapter and plugged it into my windows 10 laptop and without installing drivers and using the stock windows 10 webcam app it worked.
I then tried it on my old galaxy S4 running lollipop (running a custom rom haven't bothered updating it) and the camera works fine with the same app I tried using on my note 4. So I'm assuming there's some issue with marshmallow? Weird thing is if I plug in a usb drive or even my wireless mouse it recognizes both of them and I have no issues it's just the external camera. Anyone got any suggestions on what to do?
different usb devices require different drivers.
and with android if the driver isn't baked into the rom, the device can't be used.

Checking if the USB port is working properly

I've got a Seek Thermal CompactXR infra-red camera that I bought recently and since it has a micro-usb connector and the 6P has a usb-c connector it needs an adaptor. Got the recommended one by Seek - VicTsing - but it does not work, the camera will no connect to the phone.
The camera works fine, I've used it on the girlfriend's phone.
I've also got a small usb inspection camera that runs off a micro-usb port on a mobile phone, but it too doesn't work on my 6P.
So I'm beginning to think that something isn't working properly with the usb port on my phone, not sure if it's a physical problem or something in the soft/firmware set-up that I need to click or unclick, etc.
Any ideas on how I can fully check that the usb port is working on the phone please?
Anyone?
Make sure you use a compatible USB-C to micro USB adapter. Not all of them will work properly. I also remember something about Google didn't want adapters to work, that's why you'll need a cable I think. What kind of adapter are you using?
As mentioned in my post, it's a VicTsing and is recommended by Seek. It's a USB-C to Micro USB converter.

HI
I tried almost all the Roms and its working even in twrp mod
The problem must be the adapter
On cydras rom, I confirm the OTG working. Its something on your end.

If your music stick identifies as MTP, it wont work with any OTG supported Android phone. Any device you connect should identify as Removable Storage device to work perfectly.
I use Cydras rom and OTG doesn't work. But maybe I didn't use a good cable. On the old phone when I connected to PC it shows 3 options, usb storage, media device mtp and camera ptp. With X720 I have only Media device MTP and Camera PTP. There is no USB Storage option.

I meant to say, the storage device you want to connect to Le Pro 3 should identify as Portable Storage device only (like those flash drives from Kingston, A-Data, SanDisk etc).
2ndly use a direct Type-C TO OTG converter. Don't use the Type - C to Micro USB to OTG converter (thats two converter adapters in a row and mostly the Type-C to Micro USB converters out there lack the common connection necessary for OTG.
I used 2 convertors. I have to buy a Type-C TO OTG converter and see later. Thanks
Thanks Guys, I´v solved the problem.
It was the adaptor (!!!) from Micro USB (OTG cable) to Micro-C.
Now I bought a Stick (64GB) from ADATA including OTG, micro-C and normal USB 3.1 connectors. Everything works fine and no OTG-cable.
Listening (headphone) and streaming music (in car) using V4a sounds very good.
have a nice WE
I solved too, bought a proper adapter.
Cascading two adapters for OTG is hit or miss. A reasonable quality USB-C host adapter is like $2-3 from Amazon, so not much point cobbling something together.

OTG not working

Hello, I have an OnePlus 5 with OxygenOS 10.0.1 and I'm trying for the first time to connect a pendrive to it, throught an OTG cable.
I insert the pendrive and nothing happens. I tried several devices but it can be detected by the phone. I also tried to turn on "OTG Storage" option, but nothing changed.
Since not even the light of devices turns on and since the same pendrive with the same OTG adapter works in friends' phones (I tried Xiaomi, Oppo and Samsung), does it mean that the OTG feature of USB port is broken at the hardware level?
