Hi
I have been trying to flash the 8.0 935U Firmware to the 935P but I keep getting Fused 6 Binary 4.
I can see now from reading threads that's its not possible to flash this Firmware.
So my question is, is there any unbranded firmware I can flash to this phone in this state. Even 7.0 or custom.
Thanks

You updated the stock Sprint firmware to a newer version. It won't work.
I haven't tried this, but it was posted in the S7 flat forum.

There is a YouTube video and a link to a written directions. The files are hosted on Android file host, so it seems legit. I think @jrkruse did something similar, but I couldn't find the thread to check.

Hello,
When ever I download a firmware file it comes as one file, e.g.: I9505XXUBMGA_I9505ITVBMH1_I9505XXUBMGA_HOME.tar.md5
When I put it in Odin (AP) I get a Fail(Auth) error. However, when I try to install a firmware that is divided into separate files, e.g.:
AP_I9505XXUFNA5_373648_REV06_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar
BL_I9505XXUFNA5_373648_REV06_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar
CP_I9505XXUFNA5_373648_REV06_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar
CSC_OXA_I9505OXAFNA5_373648_REV06_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar
The flashing procedure succeeds, I use the same cable and the same USB port.
What could be the cause?

Ived seen a few people saying you can downgrade your phone into 4.3 by using mobile odin pro...So do this at your own Risk. And Sammobile released another kitkat leak 4.4.2 FNAD firmware today so you might wanna check that out . And im sure Samsung will release the Official kitkat firmware soon .

I have another question. The reason I opened this thread is because i'm having reception issues for quite some time.
I changed to a different carrier today, the device cannot connect to the new carrier, I also changed to the new firmware
you just mentioned, still nothing.
Should I try to flash a different modem? if so, which of the modems are compatible with this version of firmware?
Thanks

you can download from the mirror here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2643109
(if you find samfirmware is slow).
If you only flash original firmware, it won't trigger KNOX. region doesn't matter. just pick up the latest one, and don't forget to tick "upgrade bootloader" when you are flashing with ODIN PC. Otherwise, ..... mmm... better not think if you never tick it.
Do you have any real reason to upgrade, other than "to have the latest android version, because THEY say it's better" ?
Maybe this thread will show you the pain in the *** that kitkat is on Note 3:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2709623
And also, here, the end of that story:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51890578&postcount=22
Maybe you'll think again about upgrading (just my humble opinion).
Good luck,
New to the forum but I do know a bit about custom ROMS and flashing (I think)
So basically, I own a Chinese variant Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9508) that is rooted and currently in Android 4.3 Jellybean. Recently I saw some sites with unofficial firmware updates for this model (I9508) to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop and decided to give it a go at flashing. Tried about 3 different MD5 files using Odin v3.10, but every time it would fail, saying that no PIT files are found. So I then proceeded to look for PIT files for the I9508 model online, without any success. Do I need a PIT file for this? Or am I missing something else?
Dunno what's going on. Any answers will be much appreciated
thx

You can flash via ODIN the latest LOLLIPOP stock rom OFFICIAL for your device: HERE.
I've already got a firmware package for my Note 3 SM-N9005 32GB NL. It contains android 5.0. For some reason, Kies says it's impossible to restore my device since it can't find a package for my S/N and model. How do I manually restore my phone?
(Reason: bad root, lost my apps.)
Flash your firmware from Sammobile through Odin .
See multiple posts on the same subject for more info .

Already done! Thanks for the tip anyways. I've also rerooted my phone with cf auto root and now it works fine.
Hi,
I am trying to flash my SM-G935A AT&T S7 Edge (not carrier unlocked) with the new SM-G935U firmware (G935UUES4CRG3/G935UOYM4CRG3/G935UUES4CRG3/G935UUES4CRG3) that I dowloaded for my US AT&T S7 Edge. I upgraded my S7 Edge to the latest Oreo firmware via OTA around a month ago.
I used SamFirm to download the image to flash. Anyhow, even though I put every file into its respective category on Odin 3.13.1, I get an "SHA256" mismatch error. I've seen some instruction that say to only add the AP file onto Odin and others say to use the prince cosmey version of Odin. What could be the problem? Does the phone need to be carrier unlocked? Is my firmware too new or of the same version? Do I need to use the prince cosmey version? Is it not possible to flash the g935u firmware onto a g935a phone? Should I use another download source? Should I use the slightly older G2 firmware? Anything else I should consider?
Also, I noticed that I could not download firmware for the SM-G935A using the ATT code with SamFirm? Any reason as to why?
I realize that there are many other threads that touch upon this problem but they are either with a different edition of the phone, firmware version or some other variant. I'm posting a new thread because I want to be as thorough as possible and make sure not to brick my phone by receiving safe advice before moving forward. Thank you for your time!
Below are the SamFirm download details:
SamFirm v0.3.6.0

Correct Thread?
Did I post in the wrong thread or something? Is that why there is no response? Would someone be kind enought to point me in the right direction if this isn't the right section for such a question?
Thank You
Hi did you find any answers to this issue? i got stuck on same point as you...
Stock Odin checks the version on the device and fails because the U version doesn't match the A version you are "upgrading". There are patched versions of Odin that skip this check, and that is what you need to do a cross-carrier upload.

Use a patched odin to flash the firmware, it will go through.
