Hello,
When I'm in a call and put the phone on speaker, the HD uses the back speaker.
I was wondering if there was a solution to use the front speaker instead.
To me that would make more sense because the mic is also more to the front.
Sorry if there's already a solution for this, I've searched the forums, but couldn't find anything about this.
All I could find were things about the quality of the speaker
H.
Anyone????
meneer van leeuwen.
I think the HD has only 1 loud speaker at the back and that the speaker at the front can't produce enough dB's
Maybe you have orginal plastic on phone??
Ok that's a good reason
There's no plastic left on the phone, maybe it got stuck in my ears or something
Hi there,
I accidently damaged the speaker grill of my HD2. The speaker is still working, but it looks really ugly as the black color got lost and now there are some silver scratches on the grill.
So, is there a way to exchange it? Which spare parts do I need and how much would I have to take apart in order to replace it.
Well, I know, it is not really necessary to replace it as everything functions as it should, but you know, I am really fussy
Thanks!
I would think there would be the same work involved as replacing the speaker, try Googling for HD2 speaker replacements. Can you not just ♫ Paint It, Black ♫?
Thanks for your answer. Well, the grill is not attached to the speaker, as you can see hear: http://www.feelstore.net/web160/Admin/Product20/ProImage1/20109623472367855.jpg
But I can't figure out where it is attached to watching the official disassembly video.
I tried to paint it black, but it doesnt really work that well. I don't know, perhaps I used a wrong pen.
I don't mean it's attatched to the speaker, but rather to get the grill out the HD2 will have to be taken apart the same way as if you were going to replace the speaker. I would assume.
I replaced the housing on my old BB Pearl, and my G1 (which was way, way more complicated).
I've got a Magic now, and the ear speaker is acting up. When I make a call, sometimes the ear speaker is just dead - I can switch to the speakerphone no problem, and then when I switch back I usually have sound in the ear speaker, but I suspect physical speaker damage because sometimes it'll cut out and I can squeeze the top of the headset just right and it'll come back. Crossing my fingers that it's not something else electronic in the board.
I want to replace it - and while I've got it apart, may as well give it a new body since they are only $10-$15. (wish I could upgrade it to the Fender body with the 3.5mm headphone jack lol)
Problem is, although I can find new housings all over the place (including eBay), I can't find the replacement speaker anywhere but some GlobalPartsDirect website, and they have a 5-unit minimum wholesale order quantity.
Any suggestions on where to look? Thanks in advance!!
Bump on this-
I had PM'd a seller on Ebay who said they had one - just waited over 3 weeks for it to arrive, only to discover they sent me a replacement speakerphone speaker.
I could not have been clearer with them that it was the ear speaker that was not working.
Any help is appreciated - I now need to resolve this urgently, as I can't use my phone as a phone, and I'm postponing all sorts of things that I need to resolve - of course the timing is such that I need to liquidate some things and I can't set up Craigslist ads because I can't talk on my phone. Please help!
Hi. I have v20 and my speaker fidnt work.i can hear some noise once in awhile.i open the device and reconnect the speaker.then comnect.and agold piece accidentally broken.my question is if i replace anew microphone it should work?
I don't know it might be the motherboard contacts and not the speaker. Actually I had mine open recently and I slightly broke one of the contacts but not completely so it still works.
The pic you posted does't show the speaker contact pins .That one you see there is for something else, a ground pin or something.
Sure, if the contacts on the mobo are still high enough a speaker replacement would solve the issue. If the speaker is the problem of course - it may be the contacts are not touching the speaker properly.
I would test the speaker before buying a new one with an old earphone cable if you have one. You'd just strip the ends and place them on the speaker contacts while plugged into an audio player and see if you hear anything. Oh btw, strip off the felt grille off the speaker, it sounds way better that way.

My speaker also stopped working a few months ago. I bought a new speaker but it still doesn't work so I summer that something on the motherboard is fried. It may also have been caused by the resurrection I had to pull off using QFIL around the same time. Maybe something firmware-related.
I replace the speaker, but it still doesnt work. I guess because of the gold ribon that broke..is there any way to fix it??
Anyone??
loudspeaker not working - incoming calls not ringing
Did you solve the issue ???
I apparently have the same issue with my chinese refurbished v20
The strange thing is the audio jack for my earphones was not working (but I didn't really care because I don't need it) and now it's working ! ...
I was keeping my screen unglued because I was waiting to change the battery so I could glue the screen shut once and for all. Unfortunately I recently noticed that my earpiece grille was missing and I couldn't trace it. Has anyone ever lost their earpiece grille and if so, where did you get a replacement?
I have looked all over and couldn't find the grille. Is there a phone with a similar grille that I can buy to put in the pro 3? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe just order this one and make it work. : https://www.ifixit.com/Store/Androi...SA--gHHPVoOSf0Ch8qcYovck9dy95LOkaAkodEALw_wcB
My guess is that they are close to the same size, and if you glue it in , you probably will not be able to tell the difference.
