After trade in my SE Xperia X1 to Touch HD, i feel the color on my Touch HD look very GRAY (while playback the video). It seem lack of contrast and saturation.
I tried search many topic in here but no method can success to make any change in contrast or saturation.
BTW, i tried encode the video by increased the contrast and saturation and it will be look better before any modification. But i don't think it is a good idea.
Therefore, i would like to know if someone know how to do it to modify the LCD contrast and saturation.
Thanks

well,I wonder know how to change that too, still can get any idea, but it maybe the problem that what overlay control .
i have the same problem, grayish color, even black is gray. Any hack? contrast changer? registry modification , nothing?
I think all HTC touch HD have such crappy screen, with low contrast, TD2 has a lot better display in terms of colour quality. Bad move going from td2 to hd.
I cant believe you all can live with it. Cant even pick up wallpaper which would look satisfied.

CM Camera

Now, you people judge which is the better quality picture of the two.
For me, COLOR OS has natural colors but CM Camera gives a bit more punchier colors. Clarity is great on both.
How can we decide... it's not the SAME photo on a tripod, and for sure you focused a different point in each, so different exposure for sure...
Only clear difference, it's that Cm Camera have more saturated colors than the "natural" coloros camera..
Cm Camera looks better to me...
Also, the resolution has been reduced so the actual image compression can't be compared.
I reckon that you maybe used the modded camera next which increased saturation by default.
In all my comparisons there were no visible differences between the color os and cm camera
when equally setup on auto mode.
Second photo has increased saturation (see leaves) and contrast (see sky). That's the whole difference. Reduce those parameters and you will see no difference
The examples are kind of pointless. As many pointed out - not original size, not the same composition/focus point.
As for CM camera Saturation and contrast is increased, but it can be set accordingly (at least in CMNextMOD).

People were talking about Srgb in the nexus 6p .. I tried it and the colors looked weird to me. Why would I use this feature ?
sRGB is a method of rendering colors to which the colors drawn are, in a sense, more basic and more true to the central RGB color matrix. Newer display technology is capable of rendering a wider range of colors which can increase saturation and give things a more "popping" visual as they are "truer than life". Using the sRGB setting will tone down those exaggerated colors and bring them closer to what you would see in the real world. I doubt you would see much if any performance impact be it positive or negative to the processor or battery since the technology being used can handle these varieties of colors easily. So if you find your screen to be more appealing in sRGB mode as you like LCD-like visuals versus the heavily saturated Samsung-like AMOLEDs, then you may benefit from using it. In a real-world application, I can see it being useful for seeing how your photos would really display on print or a standard LCD screen as it is reducing the range of colors and saturation created artificially by screen enhancements.
It's a new feature in N and from what I can tell it noticeably lowers the saturation levels of the OLED to more of an LCD style. I've always preferred LCDs over AMOLEDs simply because they look more natural in color accuracy. What do you guys think and has anyone settled on one specific mode or are u switching based on the screen content?

Its not a new feature on the 6p. We've had an srgb option forever.
I personally use ex kernel and tweak saturation to around 22. The srgb mode is too desaturated on my screen.
Is any camera app available with saturation and contrast control, ie camera parameters. Camera FV 5 camera parameters settings not working.

It's true that the original camera app on Nokia 6.1 is a bit more on the saturation and contrast side.
I'm using a Nokia 6.1 and I installed the camera nx app for getting the portrait mode effect on Google pixel phones.
And I observed the the satauration and contrast is at normal state.
If this helps you, I'm glad
