This tablet has the default kid's mode just pulled out of the box?
And in the kid's mode there is already an application to draw (obviously something basic)?

Hi all so what I'm hoping is for something like Dex or EMUI 8 so you can plug in your EP1 and acts like a PC now I know it's not possible as a simple APK file however my question is do you think Google will add something down the line? Or even Essential themselves had an S8 for a while and loved the Dex mode however love the EP1 much more as a phone just missing the cherry on top which that would be for me. Thanks All.
Hello all, looking for some help here. I wanted to pick up a cheap tablet for my 6 year old and settled on the Amazon Fire HAD 8 after some super crappy ones like Dragon Touch. The best part about the Dragon Touch was it hard a kid's mode that only allowed apps toï be used that were ok'd by the parent. Unfortunately it seems as if the Fire HD 8 doesn't have any such features, or at least not in Canada.
I remember reading about something called Freetime BUT OF COURSE IT ISNT AVAILABLE IN CANADA UGH. So I got google services a d the play store going so I could use the Kidoz app, which is along the same lines as Freetime. I get to choose how she uses it, what apps she's using and all that.
The issue is when I go to setup "Extra safe mode and kid launcher" (meaning Kidoz starts right up after turning the device on) I'm not in to set it as the default launcher. It just won't let me!
Any ideas why? Or do any of you have a better suggestion for a full on kid's mode launcher that allows me to pick the apps?!

I have a couple tablets that were setup as Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) for commercial truck drivers. Booting the tablets will only present a data entry screen. and trying to access anything else on the tablet gives the message "Screen is pinned. Unpinning isn't allowed by your organization". I'd like to reset the tablet to be a normal tablet. Does anyone have any info on how to do this?
Tablet model: SM-T377P (with sim for Sprint)
From the recovery screen it appears to be Android 6.0.1
I haven't tried anything at this point as I didn't want to make it any harder to reset the tablet. I don't even know if reversing this setting is possible? The only info I've been able to find was related to creating Android single purpose devices, Kiosk mode with Samsung Knox.

Hey all , as the title in thread states im looking for a copy of firmware 5 3 6 4 or below , i deleted one thing too many on the mrs tablet and wifi isnt connecting so ill have to reflash/reroot.
I can only find the newest update which cant be exploited

###Edit### For future reference. I was able to once again obtain root.
This was done by using Rortiz2 method utilising amonet to clear RPMB and Factory Resetting giza back to default firmware.... you can find it by doing a search for "Unbrick FireHD 2016 (Giza)" You will have to open up your kindle. Don't worry as long as you're gentle it is easy to do. Afterwards you can goto https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rapid-temporary-root-for-hd-8-hd-10.3904595/post-78996694
and get yourself rooted again.

Digital clock.
Digital photo frame.
Virtual MIDI keyboard.
Home automation panel.
VirtualTablet, a virtual drawing tablet.
