Hi, i have an s7 edge exynos and i need help with dm verity. I can't bypass it, i don't know why.
1.I'm flashing twrp 3.1.1.0
2.going in to the twrp
3.then flashes supersu zip via sideload but i can't bypass dm-verity. Can anyone help me?
Downloading&flashing this supersu: https://download.chainfire.eu/1114/SuperSU/SR1-SuperSU-v2.82-SR1-20170608224931.zip
Here try following these steps and see if it helps

I have also same problem
I believe you have to format your device, which TWRP gives you the ability to do.
Flash this in twrp https://build.nethunter.com/android-tools/no-verity-opt-encrypt/no-verity-opt-encrypt-3.1.zip , format data then flash SuperSU or magisk and ur good to go
Make sure you'll use the latest, it's better, https://build.nethunter.com/android-tools/no-verity-opt-encrypt/no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1.zip
Also make sure, you need to flash dm verity clearly after booting to TWRP, or your phone won't boot up.
Steps from gabytzubc are okay, just do it like he says.
Hello,
Why I can't have TWRP installed when my phone is rooted with SuperSu? I prefer SuperSu to Magisk and I would like to have TWRP on my phone. Support soon? Thanks.
Why cant you get ass down and wait for developers to work on it? U paid for xiaomi but why did you ask from developers in xda? Does not make sense.

To post this kind of comment you should have shut up, it would have been better. It was a question to understand how it works.

You can, but you will loose OTAs if so.
NO, IMPOSSIBLE. The architecture of the Mi A1 makes the recovery is in the boot.img and SuperSu patches the boot.img to root the system... How to make TWRP and SuperSu co-existence? I don't like Magisk! If I have TWRP installed and that I flash SuperSu, I can't boot to my phone because the boot is patched...
Thanks.

Not liking Magisk is bull****, it both grants root access and with Magisk u also can install modules without touching system partition which SuperSU can't.
Hello this is my post here on this forum.
I´ve recently decrypted my OP5 running oreo open beta 4 with dm-verity.
My question is: If i flash a custom kernel do i have to reflash the no dm verity file again? Or only if i update the rom?
Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas everyone!
If you flash a custom kernel that enforces encryption, then you would have to flash the no-dm-verity zip after the kernel flash as well. If, however, the kernel doesn't modify the encryption status, then you don't need to flash that zip after flashing your custom kernel.
If you aren't sure if the kernel you're wanting to flash enforces encryption or not, search or ask in the kernel's thread. Or you can always flash the no-dm-verity zip post the kernel flash, in case you aren't sure and don't want to take any risk. Even if the kernel doesn't force encryption and you flash the no-dm-verity zip, there won't be any issues, so don't worry about that.
Does anybody use the TWRP A/B Retention Script? Is this for stock OOS only? Or custom Roms Too? I'm a little lost on how it actually works hope someone can explain it.

When you install TWRP for Fajita (6T) you use a zip file that is run from inside a TWRP boot.
The zip install TWRP.

Yes, but if you are rooted with Magisk, you'll need to also reflash Magisk right after from within TWRP, otherwise it will boot loop to TWRP.

Yes, but the OP was asking about the script.
But in general if you install TWRP, you need to install Magisk.
Hello, I've done this update on my OP8Pro and forget to use the magisk app to keep my root so I've lost root. I'd like to root it again but i dont have the boot.img patched with magisk to do it; could you guys help me ?
thanks you
It's already been shared in the usual thread.
Thanks you. Its rooted again
Out of curiosity, why bothering with a patched boot image while flashing the Magisk zip works?
For future reference, if you have TWRP or other functional custom recoveries - all you do is flash magisk.zip and you will have temporary root. Afterwards, go into magisk.apk app in your OS and click direct installation for permanent root.
