Magisk on Mate 9 Pro

Is someone had more luck with Magisk than me ?? I have a rooted LON-L29C432B225. Was trying Magisk 13.3 but without luck. Phone restarts automatically during magisk installation through twrp.
I have finaly made it Magisk is working without problems on Mate 9 Pro (LON-L29C432B225).
1. Install latest twrp recovery - https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/development/recovery-unofficial-twrp-huawei-mate-9-t3515617
2. Unroot rom, easy way i to download boot.img and flash by fastboot flash boot boot.img (https://www.dropbox.com/s/sj5su702r8omp2u/BOOT.img?dl=0)
3. Thanks to @ante0 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=2247733), he made a modified magisk package - https://mega.nz/#!QhMmRDgC!c3UqYIoaGtsekmJbWoP5x90spHbXVhircmmA_68s3pY
4. Flash magisk in twrp
5. After reboot you receive info about magisk update to 13.3. Mark in magisk manager settings "keep force encryption" and allow to update.
6. After next reboot you shuld have working magisk and SafetyNet status green
I hope it will help someone
On AL00 mate 9, followed the same procedure except downloading the boot.img as restored by huawei eRecovery, only unlocked the bootloader and didn't do anything else. Can install 13.2 modified version but safetynet fail, update to 13.3 with keep force encryption then bootloop. Checked the magisk log nothing seems wrong when can boot. Root works fine. Any help? Thanks
Guys any updates on Magisk v14 with xposed on our phone? fw B225

Xposed not installing on Nougat

Trying to install the official Xposed zip on my 6p with 7.1.2 on stock rom. It gets stuck in a boot loop every time and I have to run the uninstaller in TWRP to fix the boot loop. Any advice?
I have the same problem with nexus 6p 7.1.1
Would be great if someone knows how to fix it
Anyone else had any success flashing Xposed on nougat?

Need help updating to Oreo on rooted A1

Hi,
I had December patch running in Slot B beforing installing TWRP (in both partitions) and then installing Magisk in slot A.
So I am currently running November patch in this slot (rooted) with Dec patch in Slot B. (I get a December update notification rn cuz of that but after downloading it doesn't get installed)
How can I update to Oreo keeping the root and data?
Thank you in advance.
You will get stuck in a bootloop if you try to root Oreo with magisk when installing OTA. Just install ota and don't root using magisk. After booting oreo flash the patched boot image to get root access using magisk.

Got OREO update via OTA but have Magisk installed. What should I do?

As mentioned in the title, I just got the Oreo update with the January patch. I'm currently running Nougat (December Patch) with just Magisk installed.
I have 2 questions :
1. If I end up installing this OTA, will it succeed?
2. If it does install, will the phone bootloop on reboot?
I don't mind doing a factory reset but I've read that has lead to people losing the OTA.
Also, I don't have TWRP installed. I just booted into TWRP to install Magisk so I can't uninstall it.

I was wondering the same thing. I've read the github link but im not sure if I should update like it is explained in there, especially since it's a new android version and not just a regular security patch. Should we follow it anyway? Im not too familiar with A/B partitions.
I have follow the GitHub way to make ota, but my uninstall magisk restore images have fail, show stock backup does not exist!what can I do now.

Did you install magisk via twrp?
After trying the A-B method (uninstall/restore image) I have an error message at second step of the Jan security patch installation. I'm not sure what's the process, don't want to go into bootloop. Cheers

Help with Magisk on Android 11 Beta2

Could anyone help me install Magisk on Android 11 Beta 2? Whenever I flash the Magisk-patched boot.img, my device goes into a boot-loop. Cant really find anything that would guide me to the solution.
Did you try with the last Magisk canary?
Yep, same result.
